Given the current chaos in the world today , genuine and blunt scholarship is need more than ever. This book allows one to trouble-shoot their own health with Dr. Boulogne's surgically straight-forward questions, evaluations, and analysis.This book covers everything "'under the hood " as to what a person needs to know about their own health. Given her background as a Chiropractic Doctor and Certified Acupuncturist - she comprehensively gets right to the source of your ailment rather than addressing surface-level symptoms.I absolutely love this book and would recommend this title to anyone looking to take the first step of their health journey.

    In this book Dr. Pat really breaks down the health issues you may be dealing with in today’s society, asking you the hard questions to determine what may really be going on in each part of your body. She helps you to uncover hidden issues that you didn’t even know you had. I found the reviews to be an accurate representation of the content of this book, except that someone who negatively wrote "one big question" heading, and for sure didn’t understand or read the book content. The body is complex and understanding the complexities, at least with my physician who always has asked a lot of questions to get to the root of the problem. So many signs are ignored by many people. With these questions, I was able to focus on where to start, have a better conversation with my treating physician, and the best path to take for the best results. This awareness Dr. Pat contributes is priceless, that is where the journey begins. I really enjoyed reading this book and became much more aware of all the health challenges our bodies face today. Learning from Dr. Pat’s vast knowledge of all things to do with your body's overall health and fitness. If you're struggling with a lack of energy, feeling sick all the time, or can’t seem to lose the weight you’ve been wanting to, I highly recommend reading this book!

    Hasn’t it ever happened when you asked the doctor about a pain or a feeling that you get and the doctor doesn’t really have an answer? Or when you have felt that something isn’t right, but you aren’t going to tell the doctor because the doctor will just say that you are fine? The medical establishment diagnoses big problems based on a cluster of symptoms. Once you have a flat tire, they know how to diagnosis it and tell you how to change it. But, before it’s flat, when you are driving and sensing something might not be right, they don’t know what to do.

    Dr. Pat’s book is like the tire pressure device that can tell you along the way how to be proactive so that you avoid a flat tire. She is asking a different question than your doctor. She is asking for all the little signs that you usually think in consequential because you aren’t bent over a toilet or in the ER. On a first read, you might not know the answer to some of these questions because you never paid attention. Read this book as a manual for how to pay attention to your own body’s signs as to what is happening. Once you know the questions, you can start to discover the answers. When you have the answers, Dr. Pat or another Functional Medicine practitioner can help you understand what they mean and how to use them as a road map towards better health. Instead of surviving each day, you can go to thriving each day.

    I bought this book after hearing Dr. Pat on radio… If you want to really understand what your best steps are, if you are struggling with a health issue or crisis, have a poor immune system, are interested in maintaining excellent health, feel like you are aging too fast, or unsure about how healthy you really are, then you owe it to yourself to find out sooner than later where you should prioritize your self-care and get this book.

    With the advent of COVID, knowing that I have a great immune system (Chapter 7) made this purchase way beyond the cost of the book. Thank you Patricia.

    It is true, you know if you are- TIRED or FAT, but you do not know always know if you are SICK or WHY. Sickness takes time to develop and can be lurking below the surface undetected. I now have a clear picture of my health and complete understanding where to focus my time, and energy. This book is a keeper, I will check in time and time again. It is very user friendly.

    This book is a much needed first step for anyone looking to get the most out of life with complete health and happiness. Rarely do we look at our total body and lifestyle when we are facing a health issue. But Dr. Pat's book is a simple and concise tool to evaluate all aspects of your health. And the information that you gather is the piece that is missing when most of us try to regain our health. Armed with the information about your body and your life, you have the ability to be really healthy. And Dr. Pat will be there to guide you every step of the way.

    As a licensed doctor of holistic medicine and acupuncture, and a primary care provider with over 20 years in private practice, I would encourage anyone who has an interest in leveling up in terms of wellness and wellbeing MUST utilize the information Dr Pat has provided in this book. She has truly distilled a wealth of functional and lifestyle medical experience into a guidebook that puts the power of health diagnosis into the hands of the laypeople. Doctors, therapists, and coaches can be amazing guides at best, but only YOU are the expert when it comes to yourself!

    Dr. Pat takes all her wisdom and years of training and experience given us an easy to implement and understand way to decipher symptoms and get on the road to better health. I like that the assessment was broken into several bodily systems and encompasses emotional wellness as well. My results were eye-opening and several of the symptoms were things I would never normally pay attention to. This is a resource I'll come back to again and again and makes me feel empowered to take charge of my health so that I can live long and well.

    This book is extremely well written with brilliant information. It hit on exactly what has been going on with me, and my health. The writer, Dr Boulogne explains in great detail, which made me feel positive and ready to get myself into a great mindset.. also, she explains exactly how and what needs to done to get into great shape, both mentally and physically.
    I’ll be referencing this one, time again.
    This one is definitely for keeps, awaiting the bookshelf, as I know I’ll be picking it back up soon !
