- Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2014Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is the first book I've read by this author, but it definitely won't be the last.
Just days before Sara plans to leave for a ten-year class reunion, she begins seeing inside peoples' dreams. Some of the dreams she's witnessing are those of classmates she's about to be reunited with. There's never a dull moment in Sara's house with five kids, a hard-to-manage medical practice and friends and family dropping in at regular intervals.
I loved Sara's voice - she speaks to the reader in a conversational and no-nonsense way that I found endearing. And the simmering relationship she has with her husband, Brian, is just great. I found the book very enjoyable - the touching family moments, the realistic conflict and financial problems, and the suspenseful twists and turns that constantly kept me reading. I highly recommend this book and will definitely pick up the other books in the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2018Format: KindleVerified PurchaseLife holds many blindspots for us. We know that. But we have difficulty recognizing them or acknowledge them.
So did Sara when an erstwhile student friend contemplates arson to get his hands on the insurance money.
So did the erstwhile friend when he failed to recognise that his business is not worth his soul.
So did a number of people we get to renew acquaintance with when Sara and Brian return to Crewe University for their 10 year reunion.
Nostalgia also is a golden thread woven through all this...enough to make one long for some unattained dream as well.
You have been warned...in as general terms I could manage. Enjoy
- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2018Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI am going to read the next book in this series as soon as I am done with this review. The only problem with reading a good series is, I have to read the next book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis was another great book. It's not as heart-stopping as the previous books in the series but still really good.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe sixth book in the Dream series by J.J. DiBenedetto. An enjoyable series. Intriguing characters in an interesting story
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2015Format: KindleVerified Purchase5 stars for this book out of the series so far. Writer deals with some obvious issues that had me concerned. This one deals fairly well with some things that were bothering me. Still not happy about about so much repetition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Charity begins away from the home.
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAnother good tale from J J D . With plenty of different stories going on through the book it's impossible to lose interest in Sara and her sometimes wrongheaded thinking. A really enjoyable story is stand alone as well as a continuation of Sara's "diary". Definitely one to add to the series and feel part of the family.!!
