Eight Second Ride (Three Rivers Ranch Romance™ Book 7) Kindle Edition
A champion bull rider, a barrel racing winner, and the ride of a lifetime as these enemies attempt to become lovers.
Ethan Greene, a former champion bull rider, has walked away from the adrenaline-fueled life of the rodeo circuit, determined to reinvent himself as a man of integrity and purpose at Three Rivers Ranch. However, when fiery barrel racing champion Brynn Bowman appears on his doorstep, asking him to join a two-person roping team, he can't resist the chance to help an old friend, even if it means returning to the life he thought he'd left behind.
Even if it means spending time with Brynn, who can’t stand the sight of him. He sure does like her…if only he could correct her untrue preconceived notions about him.
Brynn has spent her life in the saddle, driven by the pressure from her father and brother to become a rodeo barrel racing star. But beneath her tough exterior lies a secret longing to leave the circuit and pursue a different path. As she and Ethan navigate the challenges of the rodeo together, their undeniable chemistry sparks a connection neither of them saw coming.
Torn between their familial obligations and their hearts, can Ethan and Brynn embrace a different future together? Or will their hearts be broken on the rodeo circuit the way they have been before?
In this heartwarming Christian cowboy rodeo romance, two lost souls and driven champions are given the unexpected chance to find love, rekindle their faith, and live their small town dreams on the dusty trails of Three Rivers Ranch.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2023This book certainly gives you a lot about what goes on in the rodeo circuit. I never realized how much money can be made. I enjoy watching a rodeo and know how dangerous it can be so it does make sense that there is that much money when one injury can kill a career.
It was interesting to watch how Brynn and Ethan dealt with their decisions about the rodeo. Both had very good careers and were champions but unlike Tanner who the rodeo was his life, they were not so sure. It also goes to show you to not make assumptions when you over hear conversations, especially when you did not hear it from the beginning.
Enjoyed this story very much, it keeps your interest right from the beginning.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2020An old buddy from Ethan's rodeo days came to Three Rivers to talk him into going on the rodeo circuit again. He said "no". Then Brynn shows up to do the same thing. When questioned why, she admits Tanner had talked her into it. He immediately feels a strong pull towards her and agreed to go for one year.
This is a situation where talking, really talking about everything is an important issue. By not saying it all, misunderstandings happen. A great story and an easy afternoon read.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2016This was another great book in the series. I loved the rodeo aspect of the story with bull riding and barrel raising. A great clean romance.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2023I love all the Three Rivers characters, their individual issues, and the happy resolutions. It was interesting seeing Ethan's side of returning to rodeo and Bryn's desire to leave it. It's always heartwarming to see how the Three Rivers family rallies around and embraces their own.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2017A man returning to the rodeo circuit to be near a woman he admires, but longing to return to the quieter life of 3 Rivers. A woman, who wants to retire from the circuit, but guilt and love to her family make that difficult. This book - even more than the other stories of the 3 Rivers people - is about learning to trust, to have the courage to go against what others expect and to what is right for oneself, without being selfish.
A great story, with many ups and downs, and curveballs life throws at people.
I had received this book as a gift, and really enjoyed it like I did all of Ms. Isaacsons books. I am looking forward to the next story.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2022Once again, the characters were complex and a bit unpredictable. The thing I loved the most was the update at the end where we once again met the stars of previous books in the series at the Fourth of July picnic. It was like catching up on my own family.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2022Really enjoyed entire series all the wives children and stories. They were all kind god fearing Christians that loved their families and lives during diversity and peace.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2017After meeting Ethan in earlier stories, it was nice to see that he had transformed into a decent person.
The story ends abruptly, but if the author follows her practice from the first stories, a mention will be made in the following stories.
Ethan is talked into joining the rodeo for a season. Bryan has done rodeo for years but is wanting out. Her dad manages her events & she hates to disappoint him.
A good story.

5.0 out of 5 stars one step forward two steps back
Great characters and a decent story background. I've learned a lot about rodeo so thanks for the info it helps you understand the story. Tanner is a skunk and will stop at nothing to get his own way Not content with messing up his own life he happily interferes with everyone else's. Brynn though grateful for all the rodeo life has brought her wants something more meaningful and Three Rivers holds all the answers. Ethan has been lured back into the Rodeo lifestyle and like before finds he is losing a piece of himself day by day win by win and he misses the one woman who could make life more meaningful than it ever was. His God is whispering if only he can hear it above the roar of an appreciative crowd. very enjoyable. Hope her dad recovered xx
