End Scene (Love, Camera, Action Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 43 ratings

First came the director yelling, “Action!
Next came the actual acting.
Last came . . . the end scene.

Or at least, that was what I liked to call my job as a publicist to Hollywood’s elite. If my client hit it big, I was the one who’d made that possible. And while being on call twenty-four seven meant I was chronically single, I was fine with that. I’d been in a serious relationship once and had ultimately discovered that I wasn’t cut out for commitment or being tied down or living in a small town.

I needed lights and excitement, paparazzi and enough traffic that the air always smelled faintly of exhaust.

I definitely didn’t need one Aaron Weaver—my ex-boyfriend and current occupant of my former home and very, very small town in Utah—tying me down or making me feel like the world’s biggest jerk, just because I wanted my life to be something more than open fields and cow patties.

But then I had to leave L.A. and go home to my father, to my small town . . . to Aaron.

And I discovered there might be much more to him than I’d ever expected.

In fact, I discovered that I might have missed out on the best end scene of my life by letting him go at all.

The books in this series are always a quick read they really pack a punch and I'm consistently impressed with how well-written this series is. Maggie and Aaron are unexpectedly given a second chance and are both a little reluctant due to their past. Their story hits you in the feels and then amps up the sexual attraction. I mean, every kiss was on the thermonuclear scale. I could not put this one down.

End Scene is a fantastic second chance romance. You feel all the pain and love between Aaron and Maggie. You feel for Maggie and her relationship with her father. She tries everything to get him to love her like she wants. Maggie is strong and knows what her dreams are. You feel such closer of the past when Maggie meets Aaron again after 10 years. There is still such a pull between Aaron and Maggie after all the years past. Aaron you get why he was so angry and hurt. There is such an ah ha moment that just brings this one to life. Aaron and Maggie are hot together and so sweet. Timing is everything and it is there time finally to shine together. I loved every moment of this one.

This is the 4th book in this amazing series and is Maggie and Aaron’s story. These two were high school sweethearts, and each other’s firsts, but when Maggie left their small town to follow her dream’s of being a publicist for the Hollywood elite, and she left Aaron behind. Now 10-years later Aaron calls her to tell her dad’s is ill, so she returns home. Aaron is determined to get Maggie to leave again, but the chemistry between them is just as intense and explosive as it always was. Will they get a 2nd chance at love? This is a beautifully written tale which is raw, gritty, emotional, and with heartbreak, and love. I was captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is book 4 in a series and the only one I have read. That said I easily followed the story and so I think it can easily stand alone.

This is an awesome novella sized romance with a 2nd chance at love 10 years later. Maggie and Aaron were high school sweethearts but he loved their hometown and she hated it. She asks him to go with her but he refuses and so they have not seen each other in 10 years until he calls and tells her that her dad hurt himself.

She rushes home but her dad treats her so bad that she gets angry and tells Aaron off and makes him start to really look and think about their past and he decides he wants a 2nd chance...but does Maggie agree? Is she even single?

I adored this romance and loved every second of it.

This was a second chance romance and it had me in tears. Maggie’s dad was a dick to her and then she had to deal with Aaron being just as bad. I love how the author was able to bring them together without major groveling.

This was a fantastic second chance romance! It was an emotional roller coaster ride with Maggie having to deal with her resentful father and her ex Aaron. Maggie and Aaron where high school sweethearts. Their wanted different things for their futures so they went their separate ways. Years later she goes back to take care of her father. Both her father and Arron were mad at her for leaving and didn’t want her there. Both Arron and Maggie share the blame for how their relationship ended. Will they be able to work through their past and figure out a way to move on to their future together?
I enjoyed getting to experiencing Maggie and Aaron rediscovering their love for each other! I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next in the Love, Camera, Action series!

A decade after Maggie Allen left her small town in Utah for the bright lights of Hollywood, she's forced into close proximity with her ex-boyfriend, Aaron. They had a horrible break-up, and Aaron's still very angry. Confronted with some hard truths, and being gifted with a serendipitous meet-up, the couple get a second chance to work things out. Will they each get the life they always wanted?

Elise Faber scores another hit with me with this read. I love the way she tell stories, with feeling and with imperfect characters that resonate with the reader. I recommend this sweet, second chance romance that marries love & living your dreams.

Maggie left her home years ago, angry. Angry at her unfeeling father, angry at her circumstances. And when she left, she left behind her heart with Aaron. Now she's back to care for her father and Aaron's still there. And he's angry at her. Angry at her for leaving him behind, wanting her to go back to her life in the big city. But Maggie being back makes her realize she never stopped loving Aaron, even though he treats her terribly at first, and that she needs to resolve things with her father. Is a second chance for her and Aaron possible?

Things were rough for Aaron and Maggie for most of this story. I felt so badly for Maggie. Her father was terrible, and never really got better. Aaron wasn't any better to her for the longest time, and poor Maggie was just trying to do her best. Thank God Aaron took his head out of his rear and realized what he had with Maggie because otherwise I wouldn't have enjoyed their story. It's emotional and substantial, and passionate too. And added plus is that the secondary cast is really interesting, especially Talbot, whose story I'm anxiously awaiting.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy.
