5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly simple and endlessly varied logic puzzles.
Equatum is a type of logic puzzle, similarly to su-doku and kakuro, although it is laid out in the style of a crossword. The "clues" are collections of numbers and mathematical symbols that can be arranged into a correct equation. The arithmetic involved is not at all challenging, at any level, but there are numerous possible orders. There are 7 sections, starting with introductory puzzles, then moving onto easy and through to diabolical. I tried a few introductory puzzles then moved onto the next few levels. Although the idea stays the same, the later levels are a real challenge to the logical skills and may need some clever techniques to solve. There are 100 puzzles and this should be enough entertainment for quite some time.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant and unique puzzle book!
Excellent book with challenging puzzles throughout. The author has developed a whole new type of Maths puzzles which can be bite size training for your brain or when tackling one of the harder puzzles can really put the grey matter really through it’s paces.
It’s refreshing to find a maths puzzle book which you can pick up, is accessible to all levels and challenging at the same time.
I’d thoroughly recommend this as a gift for yourself and your friends

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant brand new logic puzzles
Brilliant to find these brand-new logic puzzles. All you need before you start are basic arithmetic skills (including BODMAS hint hint!), a good dose of logic, a dash of intuition and a lot of time - these Equatum puzzles are addictive! Good progression of difficulty, through easy to fiendish. The rationale for these puzzles is exceptionally well, and clearly, described, as are the 'instructions'.

5.0 out of 5 stars For the nerd in your life.
I've known Justin as a valued colleague for a while put I didn't realise he was an evil genius.
I'm really enjoying these and have found the quirks and my false assumptions amusing. Great christmas tree present - they're on my shopping list.
Go on, you know you want to.
