About the author

On his twitter page, Marc Nobbs describes himself as "Author of erotic romance, Blogger, Accounts Manager, Husband, Dad. But not in that order."
He started writing as hobby just after leaving university in 1998, and in 2005 his first short story was published by the subscription website Ruthie's Club. Phaze Books published his first novel, Charlotte's Secret, in 2008. Eternally & Evermore, his forth Phaze novel, was published in 2010.
Originally from The Black County, Marc now lives just a stone's throw from where Princess Diana is buried and the Gunpowder Plot was plotted. It's far cry from his inner-city roots, but that's what an education does for you. He studied at the University of Aberystwyth and the University of Swansea.
When he's not writing, blogging, counting other people's money or being a loving husband and father, Marc enjoys the peace and quiet of his allotment garden, where he grows all types of quite magnificent fruit and vegetables.

Wow well how can I begin to review this book?
I guess the two main words I could use about this book are unexpected and realistic.
When I begin reading a book I enter into it with a complete open mind even after reading it's synopsis I try to keep away from having expectations, even though it's difficult.
Well this book totally got to me because I never expected the unexpected!
I underestimated the emotional effect a story written by a male author could have on me. Yet here it is, this story took my emotions to a raw place and as emotional as the subject being written about was, this male author captured the essence and vulnerability of the female character with ease and disburden.
I have never made notes before when reading a story but with this book I found myself jotting down random thoughts. One random note was "butterfly effect - web of choices"
Reflecting on this, it fits so well with the story. I actually formed many questions about this theory throughout this book.
Life is a series of choices and like the butterfly effect does a choice we make as an individual have an effect on another persons life and so on?
Does that one choice we make have a ripple of consequences?
Even if it doesn't necessarily have an immediate effect but can it come back round throughout life's journey to make us realise there was consequences of that initial decision?
This is a few of the the questions I found myself pondering over as I read this story of two young loves that are pulled apart through making choices whether at the time were right or wrong and only find in their later years the aftermath and fall out had a much larger impact than either could have ever imagined.
Although on occasion this was a deep emotive book I actually also found the laugh out loud moments were plentiful too and this being a British author gave me so much of a refreshing take on situations. Very relatable humour laced throughout had me giggling from scene to scene - there's a lot to be said for a Male author to take on writing humour but add also the British element and it's a fantastic combination. I loved it. Being British myself I guess I'm biased but Marc Nobbs is the first British male author I have read and "got".
This book is very realistic and relatable to real life, it has a genuine flow and the "first experience" sex scene was written in such a believably sweet yet humorous way, I'd say it's one of the best love scenes I've ever read. Again bringing the surprise element for me that this was from a male author. For me this book can be summed up as a real fictional story - a story bringing reality to the forefront.
Beautiful, stunning, funny, raw, emotional and enjoyable from beginning to end I would recommend this book for certain and I look forward to reading more from this talented author.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2014This is my first Marc Nobbs read and I must say I absolutely love it! I have read some of Marc's other books and they are all 5-star reads, but this one so far is my favorite! Marc captures you from the beginning, very addicting as are all his books! You will not be able to put it down, I know I didn't. When I had to put it down I couldn't wait to get back to it. I also couldn't wait to find out what happens at the end of the book, but was also sad to see it end. I will be rereading this book for sure it is that good! I don't want to list any spoilers. Trust me you must get this book and any others by Marc Nobbs!
