Felix and the Prince: A Forever Wilde Novel Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 4,510 ratings

Felix:

Things I expect to find at Gadleigh Castle:

- Rare stained glass, the subject of my dissertation.

- Peace and quiet, to finish said dissertation.

- An escape from the paparazzi swarming around my starlet mother’s latest blockbuster release.

Things I don’t expect to find:

- A hidden door leading to a secret room.

- The most gorgeous man I’ve ever set eyes on.

- Love.

Lio:

Things I know are expected of me in life:

- One day soon I will become the King of Liorland.

- I will marry a nice woman who will become queen.

- I will provide heirs to my family’s monarchy.

Reasons that might be difficult:

- I’m gay.

- I’m falling in love with Felix Wilde.

- He has no idea I’m royal.

While it can definitely be read on its own, Felix and the Prince is the second novel in the Forever Wilde series about the huge Wilde family from Hobie, Texas, whose patriarchs aren’t above a little meddling if that’s what it takes to help their grandkids find true love.

Beware: nekkid man parts touch. Let's just say, Felix gets royally screwed in the very best way.

Who among us hasn’t had the dream of the fantasy in our minds coming true. What a courageous, heartfelt, loving story to two men who found each other despite the circumstances of life. This is the story that will make you smile, will make your heart skip a beat, and give you hope and happiness. Another fine book in this series, and well worth the escape into dreams come true.

Felix wants to avoid the press madness surrounding the release of her newest blockbuster. Grandpa & Doc finance his doctoral research trip to study the exquisite stained glass at Gadleigh Castle on a remote island.

There he meets the Prince of Liorland who doesn't want Felix to know he's really a Prince. Love ensues.

This was book 2 in the "Forever Wilde" series. Felix Wilde is the shy quiet nerdy type who was raised by Doc and Grandpa. Felix is going overseas to study stained glass and the subject of his dissertation at Gadleigh Castle he is trying to get away before his mother's new movie is coming out he never expected to meet a hot sexy guy. Prince Lior or Lio for short has just been given some bad news his father the King is stepping down and getting a divorce he got his mistress pregnant. Lio doesn't what to be king yet he is hiding a secret he's gay and in order to be king he fears he will have to give up sleeping with men. I felt bad for both of these characters Lio is not able to be his true self. Felix has been hurt by his mother's selfishness. Neither one of them tell the other who they really are. When there is a security breach at the Castle Felix finds out who Lio really is and it overwhelms him. I am really liking this series the Wilde show up when Felix is having a pity party in Paris Grandpa and Doc along with his cousin Otto show up. Lio is also miserable he is going through the motions following his mother and fathers plans for him dating a woman his mother picked for him with some help from his sister and valet Arthur Felix is at the palace. Felix can't believe he agreed to attend Lio's coordination while learning etiquette he meets to women the Kings mistress and the woman who Lio has been dating making Felix jealous although she tells him Lio was being to gentlemanly and I found it funny when his mother thought the girl was dating Felix. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I also loved the narration of this book as I read and listened to this book I stayed up all night. I am looking forward to reading and listening to the next book in this series.

I only have one problem with Felix and the Prince and the author Lucy Lennox, and that is that I loved this book so hard and all of her other stories so much that I feel like all of my reviews can just be a simple copy/paste. See, I don't like discussing things that happen in a story because you only get one first time. That first time of falling in love with each character as an individual and also as a couple. That first time to experience learning about them, being surprised by little details, having your heart stolen by the small sweet moments and grandiose gestures, laughing out loud at an unexpected comment or situation. Finding yourself awed at the fact that you're not only reading a romance but you're learning something new and being captivated by the details about an aspect of your world you never knew about before and didn't think you'd necessarily be interested in. Being swept away and discovering that even though your heart is already full of love for the men you've read about in other books and you can't imagine loving another character just as much or even more, you find out that that warm squishy feeling in your chest and that stupidly large and crazy eyed grin your sporting means your heart just made room to add two more to your love collection. And I don't want to do anything to take away from that. Because the second and third time just aren't the same. So I only discuss content if I need to explain a reason for not thoroughly enjoying myself or if there is a certain trigger that people should be aware of that's not mentioned in the blurb. Needless to say I've never disclosed any of the content of a Lucy Lennox novel. But I have had all of those firsts with each and every book, and Felix and the Prince is no exception. Lucy Lennox is consistently amazing. It would be natural to expect with so many books out at this point that maybe the next will fall a little short. Maybe not make me as ridiculously happy and spare me a book hangover, albeit the best kind to have. But each book is just as good and arguably even better than the last. Something that I think is really cool is that even though the writing is consistently good and all of the buttons that give me the happiest of squees are always pushed, the books are not all the same. They are not just copies of each other. Because let's face it, that would get old fast. But no. All of my happy buttons are pushed, but each book is fresh and new and it's own unique story. What I think is extra cool is that the Forever Wilde series feels like a slightly older brother to the Made Marion series and shows a different layer of the author in my opinion.

So yet again I fell in love with two wonderful men. They were smart, witty, kind, thoughtful, fun, courageous, tender, loving, interesting, heart stealing bits of perfection and I'm looking forward to re-reading Felix and the Prince very soon.

Would I re-read? Yes, I actually plan to within the next week.

Was it worth the money to me? Money is really tight right now, but I don't regret at all buying this book. And I own all of the others too.

Did I fall in love? I fell, and I fell hard.

Were there moments sweet/sexy/funny/daydream inducing that I still think about? Absolutely. I love the little details demonstrating their affection in even the most subtle and smallest of ways.

Do I recommend Felix and the Prince? Do you like being happy? :D

This book is filled with all the emotions, the connections and the love. And - phew - it got me right in all the feels too. Lio and Felix are the sweetest people who have been put in the boxes based on public opinion. They are people who feel caged in by who their families are and the choices they feel forced to make but, together they find love, their voices and their paths. It is story full of swoons, joy, drama, sweet moments, strong families, dysfunctional families, steamy times, painful pasts, and love. And while the book is funny, it is also a deeply emotional book. It’s a story about the power of choice. Felix is working on his dissertation for his PhD and travels to Gadleigh castle to study the stained glass there as well as to hide out from the media storm caused by his famous actress mother. Lio is the heir apparent to the throne of Liorland. He is also gay and knowing he will ascend to the throne soon he goes to Gladleigh castle to hide away and prepare to accept the life he must live. They bumble into each other in the castle neither knowing the other’s public persona and thus begins the roller coaster journey toward their HEA. There are personal issues to overcome, beliefs to examine, and choices to be made before they can get there. The story was so beautifully written I was right there with Lio and Felix as they struggled and ultimately triumphed together. Lio and Felix are couple goals. I am excited to read more of the Wilde family’s stories.

4.0 out of 5 stars Una favola moderna

✔ Letto!

    Per me è ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story!

It has been a long time since I’ve read a book by this author and I don’t know why!! I’ve read so many that I loved and decided to come back to them and so glad I did! This is book 2 in the series and I haven’t read book 1 but didn’t feel lost at all. I would love to go back and read it just because this seems like it will be a great series!

I absolutely loved Felix. He was such a cute character and I loved how nervous and rambling he got. I was so happy with how everything worked out for him! Lio was a good character. Sometimes I wasn’t totally on board with his choices but in the end he did what was best for him and Felix! I loved all the side characters from both of their families (except for a select few of course). They brought a great balance to the romance!

I loved their HEA, it was completely perfect for them and I was super happy that Felix still got to keep his passion for stained glass alive! I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Prince Charming and the wonderful Felix a proper fairytale happy ever after that kicked Disney’s ass.
Reviewed in Australia on January 2, 2018
Okay so Lucy Lennox is auto-buy for me, even though I can read it on Kindle Unlimited for free, I love her books so much I want them forever. Top shelf author writing top shelf novels. This instalment in the Wilde family series, like all her other writing was a delight to read. In-depth characters, great world building, neat tidy plot, realistic theme, resolvable angst without ugly crying, smoking hot sexy times and a forever kind of love between two beautiful men, what more can any girl ask for in a romance novel.

I particularly loved the change in theme, a very, very nice change up from office, bodyguard, rent boy themes, not that I don’t love them, I do, but a change is as good as a holiday and who doesn’t love a fairytale romance?

Lucy Lennox has a definitive way with words that I especially love to read. Apart from her ability to create dynamic sexy, smoking hot and wonderful leading men, is her talent to create amazingly fabulous secondary characters such as the rest of the Wilde family, like Grandpa and Doc who she introduced us to in the 1st book in the series, and expanded their awesomeness with added lifelong emotional layers, building more depth and history, opening the family up with each additional novel, so by the time we got to Felix, even though it’s only book 2, it’s like we’ve known the Wilde family forever, and yet there is room for so much more.

I love talented writers able to give us that type of world building and family and leading men connection (the full trifecta) that’s solid as a rock by the time book one ends, so by the time I’m ready to read chapter 3 in the second book it’s like i’m reading about old friends. I wasn’t left with any questions as to wanting to know more about Felix or Lio, I felt their character revealing as their journey unfolded was open enough so I could just enjoy their romance.

This time around I loved the change of pace. It’s was subtle because it shifted sweetly as the novel evolved. What started and looked like it might be a fluffy insta love romance, turned out to be something deeper, more real, with proper relationship issues (given the theme) that existed between two men from vastly different worlds who connected by chance and shared a rare intimacy that developed into legitimate affection.

It made Lio and Felix real, and the situation they faced as they fell in love together as tenuous as the reality of trying to make and hold onto a relationship under the guise of negotiating a challenging future with the head of the reigning royalty. Their angst was not as cut and dried as one would think nor as easily solved for a man in power, it made their issues realistic and far from contrived despite the ordinary boy meets and falls in love with a future King theme. All very Nottinghill kind of. I loved that movie!!!

I especially loved the epilogue, I love a good ending and this one was great. It felt resolved and a definitely HEA.

I really enjoyed Lio and Felix’s journey and I look eagerly forward to Otto and Walker’s book. This series is a ripper. Thanks Lucy, for another great story.
