Felix and the Prince: A Forever Wilde Novel Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 4,448 ratings

Felix:

Things I expect to find at Gadleigh Castle:

- Rare stained glass, the subject of my dissertation.

- Peace and quiet, to finish said dissertation.

- An escape from the paparazzi swarming around my starlet mother’s latest blockbuster release.

Things I don’t expect to find:

- A hidden door leading to a secret room.

- The most gorgeous man I’ve ever set eyes on.

- Love.

Lio:

Things I know are expected of me in life:

- One day soon I will become the King of Liorland.

- I will marry a nice woman who will become queen.

- I will provide heirs to my family’s monarchy.

Reasons that might be difficult:

- I’m gay.

- I’m falling in love with Felix Wilde.

- He has no idea I’m royal.

While it can definitely be read on its own, Felix and the Prince is the second novel in the Forever Wilde series about the huge Wilde family from Hobie, Texas, whose patriarchs aren’t above a little meddling if that’s what it takes to help their grandkids find true love.

Beware: nekkid man parts touch. Let's just say, Felix gets royally screwed in the very best way.

I only have one problem with Felix and the Prince and the author Lucy Lennox, and that is that I loved this book so hard and all of her other stories so much that I feel like all of my reviews can just be a simple copy/paste. See, I don't like discussing things that happen in a story because you only get one first time. That first time of falling in love with each character as an individual and also as a couple. That first time to experience learning about them, being surprised by little details, having your heart stolen by the small sweet moments and grandiose gestures, laughing out loud at an unexpected comment or situation. Finding yourself awed at the fact that you're not only reading a romance but you're learning something new and being captivated by the details about an aspect of your world you never knew about before and didn't think you'd necessarily be interested in. Being swept away and discovering that even though your heart is already full of love for the men you've read about in other books and you can't imagine loving another character just as much or even more, you find out that that warm squishy feeling in your chest and that stupidly large and crazy eyed grin your sporting means your heart just made room to add two more to your love collection. And I don't want to do anything to take away from that. Because the second and third time just aren't the same. So I only discuss content if I need to explain a reason for not thoroughly enjoying myself or if there is a certain trigger that people should be aware of that's not mentioned in the blurb. Needless to say I've never disclosed any of the content of a Lucy Lennox novel. But I have had all of those firsts with each and every book, and Felix and the Prince is no exception. Lucy Lennox is consistently amazing. It would be natural to expect with so many books out at this point that maybe the next will fall a little short. Maybe not make me as ridiculously happy and spare me a book hangover, albeit the best kind to have. But each book is just as good and arguably even better than the last. Something that I think is really cool is that even though the writing is consistently good and all of the buttons that give me the happiest of squees are always pushed, the books are not all the same. They are not just copies of each other. Because let's face it, that would get old fast. But no. All of my happy buttons are pushed, but each book is fresh and new and it's own unique story. What I think is extra cool is that the Forever Wilde series feels like a slightly older brother to the Made Marion series and shows a different layer of the author in my opinion.

So yet again I fell in love with two wonderful men. They were smart, witty, kind, thoughtful, fun, courageous, tender, loving, interesting, heart stealing bits of perfection and I'm looking forward to re-reading Felix and the Prince very soon.

Would I re-read? Yes, I actually plan to within the next week.

Was it worth the money to me? Money is really tight right now, but I don't regret at all buying this book. And I own all of the others too.

Did I fall in love? I fell, and I fell hard.

Were there moments sweet/sexy/funny/daydream inducing that I still think about? Absolutely. I love the little details demonstrating their affection in even the most subtle and smallest of ways.

Do I recommend Felix and the Prince? Do you like being happy? :D

Felix wants to avoid the press madness surrounding the release of her newest blockbuster. Grandpa & Doc finance his doctoral research trip to study the exquisite stained glass at Gadleigh Castle on a remote island.

There he meets the Prince of Liorland who doesn't want Felix to know he's really a Prince. Love ensues.

This book is filled with all the emotions, the connections and the love. And - phew - it got me right in all the feels too. Lio and Felix are the sweetest people who have been put in the boxes based on public opinion. They are people who feel caged in by who their families are and the choices they feel forced to make but, together they find love, their voices and their paths. It is story full of swoons, joy, drama, sweet moments, strong families, dysfunctional families, steamy times, painful pasts, and love. And while the book is funny, it is also a deeply emotional book. It’s a story about the power of choice. Felix is working on his dissertation for his PhD and travels to Gadleigh castle to study the stained glass there as well as to hide out from the media storm caused by his famous actress mother. Lio is the heir apparent to the throne of Liorland. He is also gay and knowing he will ascend to the throne soon he goes to Gladleigh castle to hide away and prepare to accept the life he must live. They bumble into each other in the castle neither knowing the other’s public persona and thus begins the roller coaster journey toward their HEA. There are personal issues to overcome, beliefs to examine, and choices to be made before they can get there. The story was so beautifully written I was right there with Lio and Felix as they struggled and ultimately triumphed together. Lio and Felix are couple goals. I am excited to read more of the Wilde family’s stories.

Loved these two. They were sweet and smart. Sometimes I love a sweet story with a happy ever after. I love gay prince stories.
I love stained glass but never researched it's history. I did take a beginner's class once. No one saw my project.

Even though this book has something in common with the first book, that I had trouble liking one of the characters, in this case it was Lior, I liked it more than the first book. MAY HAVE SPOILERS AHEAD*

I didn’t like Lior at the beginning because he behaved like an a hole in many occasions and everyone, including Felix, just seem to overlook it. However, he got better towards the end, and completely finished winning me over after he stud up, for Felix, against Felix’s mother and her fiancé. For that reason I didn’t deduct a star, and also because I just loved Felix. He is the sweetest, cutest, most adorable and kind character in this series so far. I completely fell in love with his character and Doc and Grampa made everything even better. I already loved them from the first book, and I genuinely thought there was no way I could like them more, but this book made me love them even more! They are just so cute, lovable and caring! So, yes I did enjoy reading this book and liked even the parts that seem a little too ridiculous. Therefore it ended up being a lot better than the first book, and I completely recommend reading it!

I love the familia love between the grandfathers that radiates out to each grandchild. This story is so good because both Felix and Lio come out of their own fears and stand up to be brave men. First for themselves and then as a couple, they're so sweet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story!

It has been a long time since I’ve read a book by this author and I don’t know why!! I’ve read so many that I loved and decided to come back to them and so glad I did! This is book 2 in the series and I haven’t read book 1 but didn’t feel lost at all. I would love to go back and read it just because this seems like it will be a great series!

I absolutely loved Felix. He was such a cute character and I loved how nervous and rambling he got. I was so happy with how everything worked out for him! Lio was a good character. Sometimes I wasn’t totally on board with his choices but in the end he did what was best for him and Felix! I loved all the side characters from both of their families (except for a select few of course). They brought a great balance to the romance!

I loved their HEA, it was completely perfect for them and I was super happy that Felix still got to keep his passion for stained glass alive! I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series!

Felix and Lior are wonderful. Thank you to Lucy lennox for creating such a beautiful couple. They are in love from the word go (even if they take an age to admit it). Both so caring of each other and wanting to put each other first because they want to protect each other. There is always a dodgy character to a book and this one is Felix's mother and the word is used very loosely. A shout out to grandpa and Doc who love them both unconditionally.

✔ Letto!

    Per me è ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
