Ferocious: A Contemporary M/M Romance Kindle Edition
There’s no room in my life for a gorgeous criminal named Rowan. I need to check off the next item on my list: Find the right, respectable husband. I can’t be an accessory to a life of crime.
And yet, my perfect plan’s been a bust. Yes, I have millions of social media followers, a prestigious job, and an expensive car, but I’m realizing I want more from life. My casual hookups aren’t making me happy. I’m … lonely.
While Rowan’s a tattooed menace, he does something to my heart, and I can’t seem to stay away from him. Let’s not get started on how I like seeing my marks on him. Everywhere.
Rowan isn’t who I’m looking for, but it seems he’s not who we think he is, either. Which creates an entirely different set of problems with much, much higher stakes.
I’m in way too deep to get out. If I even want to.
Ferocious is a stand-alone contemporary M/M romance about Rowan, a rideshare-driving twink with a penchant for violence, and Charlie, a grumpy lawyer. It features first times, primal play, kidnapping and other crimes, and a philodendron that likes to ride in the car. HEA? Definitely.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2025I loved Rowan instantly. Everything, down to his name is just so him. He has such a unique and loving energy about him despite his horrible life that is infectious. And Charlie? Who doesn’t love a grumpy daddy who is secretly a golden retriever? (only for his baby boy tho)
You can feel the chemistry through the pages and I enjoyed every second of reading their story.

Yeah… no. But, also, yes. What Rowan lacks in height he makes up for in personality. I don’t think anyone is expecting him. Charlie certainly wasn’t and I think readers will be in for a treat. You just really never know what you are going to get from him. I can’t even imagine what it was like for the author. Was he just as surprising?
This is a fun, easy read. For fans of snark with a side of sass, this book will be right up your alley. But it was more than that. Rowan has more depth to him than he shows at first and it was fun to watch Charlie and Rowan come into themselves, together. I liked them as a couple. They really shouldn’t work, but they do.
All in all, this was a great read. There were a few places that felt like abrupt scene changes, but it could just be the style, or perhaps it was me. It’s hard for me to say for sure. Even so, it is one I think you should read. We all need a Rowan and Charlie in our lives from time to time.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2025Again, Leslie has made me get up in my feels and be so satisfied and all lovey and sighy at the end of another great book. We have a lot of interesting moments - kidnapping, mugging, passenger plants, cat distribution system, billionaires - that keep me coming back for more. Sweet characters who can be themselves and show vulnerability and who learn a little about themselves along the way. *Heart eyes emoji*
- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2025I really liked this book. 4.5 star for rating, 4 for spice. I enjoyed Rowan’s character and how true to himself he was despite all the hard things he faced. He really was a little chaos gremlin, and Charlie supported him well.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2025Looking for a soft, slow burn stereotypical friends to lovers? Hockey players? Nerd Jock? Then don’t bother here.
Looking for a love story off the rails, that grabs you by the shorties and leaves you laughing, gasping, crying and cheering hard feels, true love with amazing grit and wonder? Then this, my friends, is a great place to visit.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2025I loved so many things about this book.
I loved Rowan and Charlie; they were such lovable characters.
I really enjoyed their journey to falling in love.
What I didn’t love however was Rowan NOT getting his wedding – mostly cos I didn’t understand why.
I’ve read plenty of books where the MCs didn’t need a wedding to cement their commitment to each and that decision totally fit those characters – so yes, I do get that it works.
But I didn’t feel like it worked here – especially since Rowan wanted to marry Charlie, so it felt more like Rowan was settling for whatever Charlie would give him.
I don’t even get why Charlie, all off a sudden didn’t want a wedding when it was in his plan for years...🤨
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2025***ARC Review***
This is my honest and voluntary review for the ARC I received.
Ferocious is an addictive read. I loved every second of it. This is a grumpy/sunshine, age-gap romance that is all about what it means to be happy, and what a HEA looks like for individual people.
Rowan and Charlie are total opposites that have the most interesting and memorable meet cute that I have read in a while. Charlie is tall and well put together. He has RBF, but not quite. Rowan is short and small, with colorful hair and tattoos. Charlie is a self-proclaimed a……, but he is incredibly loyal, protective, listens well, and has a heart of gold. He cares deeply about the people he cares about, and keeps everyone else at bay. Charlie is taken aback by how drawn he is to Rowan when they meet. Their pairing doesn’t fit his ten-year plan or list, but it also makes more sense than anything ever has before.
Rowan is bad***. He’s feisty and puts up a hardcore front, but gah does the guy just want to belong to someone. He’s had a hard life, but hasn’t let it get him so far down that he can’t get back up again. Rowan is unapologetically unconventional and I love that about him. I love how quickly he clings to Charlie. I love how he manifests his destiny. Rowan is scrappy and fierce. He gets off on violence, but it’s usually for good reasons. He is definitely someone that deserves every scrap of happiness that comes his way. I’m so happy that he and Charlie found one another.
Rowan and Charlie are it for one another. Their connection is top tier. Their chemistry is next level. They fit and work as a couple, even if it seems like they shouldn’t on paper. They are so right for one another, it’s wild. Lots of things go down in this book that will keep you on your toes. It’s a fabulous read with fantastic writing. Don’t even get me started on the spice. Phew! Ok, now go grab a copy and read this gem of a book! May you enjoy it and the HEA that is very fitting for Rowan and Charlie.
Side note: I’m so happy to see things come together for Rowan and his goals. Also, I’m very much looking forward to Tristan and Xavier’s story…and any others that McAdam writes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rideshare driver and lawyer
This is a very opposites attract novel by Leslie McAdam. In fact it would be harder to find two more different people than Rowan and Charlie. I think this is the main strength of this story, at least in the beginning because it is obvious that they are off the charts attracted to each other. If I had to choose one word to describe this book it would be scorching.
I also like that Charlie is just as well fleshed out a character as Rowan is. With a flamboyant twink type character like Rowan is seems like writers struggle with developing a character that is as interesting to match with them, but Charlie is a complex counter point to Rowan.
I also liked the big surprise and the way it was integrated into the guys life and the way it changed the outcome, but not the fundamental characters of the two guys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Charlie and Rowan are perfection!
When I saw the trope list for this book I KNEW I needed to get my hands on it and that I'd love it 👀 and boy... Was I right! I love a snarky, sassy, and slightly criminal boy and having a grumpy, stoic and 'I'm not your daddy' daddy was the icing on top 🥵💥.
The spice and tension between Rowan & Charlie was so 👏 well 👏 done 👏. And even though this is very fast paced the romance and everything between these two felt so authentic and fit their narrative so beautifully 🔥🫠.
I loved their relationship so much, and I'm a sucker for a daddy/boy even when it's not your typical story. I was very here for the entire thing and honestly Rowan is such a bundle of absolute fiery perfection, even in his imperfections. I loved him so much 😍. Charlie was also so funny, I related to his grumpy, slightly over dramatic ways so much 🤣 RBF and all, he was such a great character 💗. If you've loved the rest of this series I'm sure you'll love this one too!
I can't wait to learn more about the other characters in the future as well 💜💯.
