Fighting for Love: A Gay Instalove Romance (Cut to the Feeling Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 82 ratings

Stolen moments with Seth aren't enough. If he can't run from his jealous, jilted boss, we'll fight him together.

From the second I trip over my own feet and fall into Seth's lap, his touch is electric. When he kisses me at the top of the Ferris wheel, I'm done daydreaming about my ex-boyfriend turned best friend, Aiden.

Seth is a muscular mystery I'm dying to solve. I know he wants to explore every part of me, too, but there's someone standing in the way. Seth can smile with me. He can laugh, cry, feel. When we're together, nothing else matters but the heat between us.

The walls around his heart are to protect us both, but I'm more than soft and sweet. I can be dangerous, especially if it means fighting to free Seth from living under Nik's manipulative thumb. It's a whirlwind romance, and I'm throwing myself into the storm.

Fighting for Love is a low-angst contemporary M/M instalove romance. Opposites attract, bringing together a daydreamy twink and mysterious muscle boy in swoony, steamy ways before a guaranteed HEA. It is suggested this series be read in order.

5 stars for book 2 in the Cut to the Feeling Series by Noah Steele.

We first meet Oliver in book one. He is Aiden’s best friend/former love interest. He is a writer with several quirks that are endearing.

Seth is a mysterious and broody guy who catches Oliver, literally, when they first meet at the coffee shop Oliver works at.

During their first date Oliver starts to notice things about Seth’s behavior that are off. Oliver starts to see that things are not as they first appear with Seth. Seth has made a bad choice in his past that now haunts them. They soon find themselves fighting for their love.

First of all I have to say how much I love Noah Steele’s writing style. For a new author, his work is superb! I was literally on the edge of my seat at times. I loved the mystery. Seth is now my favorite character in this series. I love Oliver too and they are perfect for each other. I highly recommend this series. I’m looking forward to book 3!

    “Even demons have their demons”

Oliver was in love with his best friend but lost him to another man. They work together, getting back to the friendship they had. Oliver writes stories. His favorite is about a cleric and a demon prince. One night Oliver runs into Seth. The feelings he got from their few seconds of touching were electric.

Seth’s life is ugly and complicated. He wants Oliver but knows he can’t bring him into his life. He didn’t realize it was already to late. Oliver wants Seth and he can be very determined. Seth’s demon won’t know what hit him when these two are through with him.

I liked the first book in the series but I think this one was a little better. The characters from the first book played pivotal roles in this one. I think the character development was stronger in this story too. (That could be in part because I was already familiar with them). Nicely done book.

I received an arc of this book from the author.

Wow! Book 2 in this brilliant sexy series left me breathless. Seth and Olly. What can I possibly say about these two great characters. Funny. Witty. Full of heart and love. Made for each other, but someone is trying to cut this relationship short. How hard would you fight for the love of a lifetime???? Tooth and nail. Never giving up on each other. A beautiful love story that I will forever remember. 5 kisses (stars)

This is the second book in this series, and it started out pretty disappointing. However, as I was about to throw in the towel, things started to get interesting. This definitely is an Insta-love, which I knew going in, but I have no idea how two people who are so completely opposite can fall in love without speaking to each other.

There's not much communication throughout the story, other than visual cues and touches; silent communication. That made the book drag for me because the book is told from Oliver's first person POV. We met Ollie in the first book, but get to know more about his artistic and distracted ways. Seth is strong and secretive, always holding back.

Now, I am all for men showing their emotions and being able to feel vulnerable. But it seems that the main way the author has for his characters to share their feelings is a good cry. But once we get past the angst of will he love me and so on, we get to the meat of the story.

This is where Seth's reservations and fears come into play, and he has every right to be cautious. While Ollie spends his time writing and working at Aiden's new shop, Seth is trapped in a dangerous situation. When their two worlds collide, things get dicey, but Oliver shows a reserve of strength and resilience Seth wasn't expecting.

In the end, the two obviously love each other, although I'm still not exactly sure how that happened. But when the plotline took off, the book redeemed itself, therefore the three star rating. And of course, Ollie and Seth get their happily ever after.

    * I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving my honest review. *

Aww I liked this one much better! Poor Olly, first he is a klutz falling and Seth catches him, and he is a writer, loved the excerpts from his open mike nights, and just his thought process. Seth is great too. I loved the square scene where they road the ferris wheel and ate a juicy burger(man that made me hungry, and they kept eating them throughout the book!!!!). I enjoyed this one much better, I felt the guys connection and it was super sweet. Demon prince and his cleric (reference in the book)
And we got more of Marc, who is next, and I cant wait to dive in!

Once again Noah has made you fall in love hard and fast. Olly and Seth show their strength in the story that makes you truly feel like anything is possible. Way to go Noah! I can't wait for the rest.

I absolutely love Oliver for his head in the clouds, always inspired personality. Don’t let his outward appearance fool you though, he’s a really tough cookie on the inside. Seth has so many demons, and they burden him deeply. It’s sweet getting to see him relax and just be who he truly is meant to be, as the story unfolds. Love the friendships they all share at Jolt, and that the friendships are strong too. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Ooh what a pair of hotties. Cute, creative and often distracted by his muse, Olly seems to want a relationship like his best friend has - a step up on wanting said best friend. Mysterious muscle-boy Seth is sweet when it’s the two of them, but acting oddly, and a bit rigid around others. Olly’s lovely little found family at coffee shop Jolt are here to look out for him, and in the process of adopting another lost soul. When they find out more about Seth and his life, Olly and friends are fabulous in their reactions, protective of Olly but with big hearts wanting to support Seth.
In other news, these two are also sex on legs with some amazingly HOT and dirty scenes. If you like assertiveness in the bedroom (or wherever 😉) you’re going to love this pairing.
    Yum.
