    This is the end of Kristoff and Gemma's love story. This 2 book series was initially published in 2020 and then repackaged in 2022 as The Exception. That was the first book of Billionaire Kings, which covered the Ashford siblings. Byron and Winston Ashford were featured in this book.
    The first book ended abruptly when Kristoff and Gemma had a major fight. This resumed where it ended. The combined book makes more sense than a 2 book series.
    Both principals loved each other from the beginning, they just didn't communicate it. Kristoff is a completely different person by the end of the series. He is caring, loving and has conquered his jealousy. Gemma is the same with more confidence and no ghosts.
    I recommend this book.

    I wished we could have heard from Kristoff. I really wanted to know he was thinking. Loved that they all met at her vacation home. They were truly attracted to one another. Loved that he was all in with her kids and they loved him. Rick and Betty were nice but Rick was a bit too much for me. Samuel was funny. I liked him. Jonathan and his son were nice. When did Kristoff and Jonathan become some what friendly again? Where was Jonathan's wife and Kristoff's ex wife? When did Rick and Kristoff become friends? I did not want this book to end. There were some errors in this book but nothing to keep you from reading it.
    It would have been nice to have a follow up book with an update on everybody.

    This is the 3rd book of Eva Winners that I have read. I already can’t wait to read her next book. The sex scenes are hot (guys should take note and practice exactly as she says-you can’t lose that way 😉)! At the same time, this two-book series is deeply heartwarming. The prologue of the first book made me so emotionally upset that I was immediately drawn into the story wanting to know that Gemma would be OK. I had to pre-order the second book, “Final Chance”, because of the very emotional cliff-hangar the first book left off. I won’t spoil, but I the second book had some twists and turns that I didn’t expect. I’ll just say the series gets 5 stars. In the story, Gemma is a strong, smart, and educated single mother of 3 girls. She is what I would call a survivor in this often cruel world, trying her best to raise her 3 beautiful girls while dealing with a bad marriage and many real issues that women are faced with in our society. Ms. Winners is brilliant in developing this love story in a way that hits every emotion. The description of Gemma’s Croatia trip, her beach house, the scenery, and the blue Adriatic Sea had me searching the Internet to buy a house in Brsečine, Croatia, which is just North of Dubrovnik. Who knows, maybe someday!

    I've recently discovered this author, this is my second read of hers and Ms. Winner is going to a favorite of mine for sure! I was so upset the way book 1 Second Chance At Love ended but book 2 surely cured that! I don't think I've yelled at 2 characters so much before, their chemistry is so undeniable! But old wounds die hard, as is very much the case. This book was so great an easy 5 stars! Gemma and Kristoff really gave me a run for my money but the ending was everything I needed to end such a great love story. This book is about redemption, letting go of the past, and just being honest, a great book all around you wont be disappointed in the series I promise. The description of the scenery of Croatia was so beautiful! If I can get over that plane ride I may need to take a trip!

    Spice mediocre. The story started at a weird point? Apparently she was desperate for a job and then had a fling with her boss who wanted her to sign a contract? The contract was loosely discussed. I liked that they where both older and this was a second romance. Even though only.his age was briefly discussed as him being 41? She had a teen daughter but it didn't give a specific age? But if I did the math somewhat correct it made her 36? I didn't realize she had three daughters until toward end of the book. Then the twin pregnancy was described as being in the same sack but then in the epilogue her daughter said brother and sister. Also having anemia and not being able to ever get pregnant again was pretty far fetched.

She’s a widowed mother of 3 with a past to overcome who works for the dominant Kristoff, a bachelor billionaire with his own past. As Gemma continues to grow and become a more independent, secure woman, her relationship with Kristoff is strained to the breaking point. Winners does a fabulous job of tracking Gemma’s growth while making Kristoff soften and become more the man she needs if a long term relationship is going to work. Winners’ talent as a writer continues to grow with each book she publishes. She’s now been added to my “must read” author list.

    I absolutely loved the continuation of Kristoff and Gemma’s story. It sucks you right in and doesn’t let go. Kristoff has a lot to learn if he wants to keep Gemma in his life. You get to watch them trying to get back to what they have with the help of others. If you haven’t read the first book do so now you won’t be disappointed at all.
