- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2018Book 2 was just as amazing as Book 1 in this series. There are so many complex story lines and emotions within this story, so I was captivated the whole way through. There are also a couple of surprises which had me gasping in surprise and delight! The characters are all dealing with their own emotions, as teenagers do, and trying to determine what's real and what's perceived...And often getting into terrible situations because of what they think is real. There is an undercurrent of obligation with each character as well...do they stay true to their family or their country, do they give in to their desires, or fight against what they feel? These types of conflicts would not be easy to write, in my opinion, and Nina Walker did an excellent job of capturing it! Can't wait for Book 3!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2017If you’re a fan of young adult, dystopian, then this is worth your time. Nina is a new author, but it’s obvious that she’s taken a lot of time to think this story through. There’s a little bit of romance, but it’s understandable and not too heavy handed. There’s enough of a love triangle to have you taking sides. The whole idea of color alchemy is so creative and well developed. It’s a concept that has clearly been well thought through. Color itself almost becomes another character in the story. The characters are well developed and their motivation makes sense. You understand what they have to lose, why they are fighting. You can relate to their weaknesses and mistakes.
It can be really difficult to find a new author that is worth your time. Give Nina a try and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I can already think of several people that I’ll be recommending this series and new author to.

Fair warning to Kindle readers, you won't see the last page coming as you swipe through in excitement. Still worth it.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2018I love the first book and this book is just as addicting as the first (even more so in my option!!) I felt Jessa's anger, betrayal, and pain. I would seriously recommend this book series to anyone who would let me talk about it!!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2017I loved the twist at the end and I cannot wait to read the third book! I really enjoyed reading from the three characters perspectives. The plot moved along well and the whole concept of color alchemy is fascinating. The author does a great job in bringing you into their world.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2017Its very good. You'll never expect what happens next, the author keeps you guessing until the end. You'll become emotionally involved with the characters throughout the book's as I did. You love the growth in them and you'll love the bad days because even though this is a fantasy book with extraordinary things happen the characters seem like normal people with feelings you'll be able to relate to. Amazing book. You'll definitely be hooked of you already weren't by the first one.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2017Still so excited to see where this story goes! Fracture has more meat to it than Prism did, more character development and plot. This is a really fun story with some deeper themes, if you don't want to just take it at face value.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2017Fantastic! I highly recommend this read!! I was able to get my hands on prerelease copy (ebook version) and I loved it so much that I had to buy a hard copy when it was released to add to my library. My only wish is that it came in hard back. Such a great read! Can’t wait till the next one comes out! Do I have to wait until spring?! Ugh....

4.0 out of 5 stars Wow!
I was a little bit nervous reading this one just with how the last book ended but the stakes were a lot higher and there was a lot more action in this one!
I really do like Jessa as a main character she is thrown into this world but adapts to not lose face. It was great to see her relationship with Jasmine grow too and I liked the role that she played more in this one.
Lucas is a good lead guy character but at times I found him too in his head and that showed with his actions, his chapters were all over the place and I did sometimes look forward to other characters.
I did really like knowing more about the resistance and the royals, its a really interesting concept
I still love the magic system, it just makes me wonder on how much more we can find out!
Can't wait for the next one
