Full Package: A Best Friend's Sister Standalone Romance (Big Rock Book 4) Kindle Edition
A best friend's sister romance and a #1 NYT Bestseller!
Fine, fine. Sharing an apartment with my buddy's smoking hot and incredibly amazing little sister seems like a recipe for disaster.
But I desperately need a place close to work, and I swear I’ll behave. How hard can it be to share five-hundred square feet with the brilliant, beautiful, total firecracker who’s my good friend too?
Please. It’s sooo easy to hang out with Josie every night, to test out her new brownie recipes after work, to shop for towels and banana hangers on weekends.
Until one night when she asks if she can join me under the covers. Platonically, of course. It'll help her sleep after what happened that day, she says.
Spoiler alert–neither one of us sleeps that night.
Or the next, or the next.
Soon, I find myself stuck between a rock and a sexy roommate, which makes for one very hard place. Especially, since all these nights with her make me want the days too.

A lump in my throat and tears–of utter happiness–in my eyes, I’ve just finished this book, and my god, this book! If the friends-to-lovers thing is your thing, then Full Package is necessary, required, essential reading. Truly, this is not one to be missed. I’m pretty sure that I haven’t hidden, like at all, my fandom for Lauren Blakely. I’ve been like Pacman chomping on those little dots with the way I’ve been devouring her work this year. I’ve loved every single book, each one, unbelievably, more than the last.
“This feels like something else entirely. Something I haven’t felt in a long time.”
But this book, this fabulous book, struck such a personal chord with me. It did something that generally doesn’t happen to me when I read romcoms—it moved me, it touched me, and it made me so very happy. You see, there are some parallels in this story to my life, and in the day-to-day living of it, I’d forgotten. But boy, let me tell you, while reading this book was I ever reminded of that long ago sweet time. That’s one of the things that reading is all about to me. It’s either to serve as an escape or, as in this case, a reminder.
“…something is happening. Something wild, and crazy, and undoubtedly incredibly foolish. But right now, it feels… like sailing, like flying, like soaring.”
Blakely has put out several male point-of-view romcoms within the last year, Full Package being the fifth. If you haven’t experienced the sheer talent of Lauren Blakely in one of her male POV books, what are you waiting for?! The woman is a genius when it comes to getting into these guys’ minds and conveying what’s going through them as they fall in love. She delivers these stories in such an authentic, realistic and unique voice, and it is unlike anything that I have ever read in any other book or by any other author. These books are magnificent, honest-to-goodness romcom magic. Honestly, I have no idea how she does it and, frankly, I’m not going to ask. I’m just going to enjoy the fact that she can do it, that she does it well and that she does it often.
“…it’s euphoric, it’s electric, the rush I get from smelling her, from moving against her, from kissing her.”
Being inside of Chase’s head as he worked through his thoughts, feelings and emotions about Josie was a delight. I had a perma-grin plastered on my face from cover-to-cover. Everything about this relationship’s build-up – from the incredibly ill-advised ‘friends with benefits’ stage to the brief but still slightly angsty and awkward period – made me happy. The friends-to-lovers thing is so totally my thing, especially, as it was in Chase and Josie’s case, when it’s patently obvious to everyone – except, of course, the hero and heroine – that they love each other, that they’re perfect for each other, that they’re meant to be. Chase and Josie were all of those things. Heart-racing, sometimes even aching, I read this book in sweet anticipation of that axis-tilting, world-shifting moment of realization and, oh boy, did Blakely ever give it to me.
“…the chance to be with the one you want—the one who wants you the same d*mn way—is worth the risk.”
This book was absolutely the full package—it was everything that my romance reading, happily-ever-after-seeking heart wanted this book to be. I loved it so very much. Lauren Blakely’s Full Package gets five smooches from me!

Oh this book!!!!! Loved it sooooo much!
Look, it's no secret that this series is one of my absolute favorites. I've loved every book with varying degrees but Big Rock had a very special place in my nerdy little heart and while all the others were way up there with all sorts of awesomeness, they didn't quite get to Big Rock levels. Until now.
Full Package is the perfect recipe for a friends to lovers slash roommates to lovers slash oldest friends sister. We have emergency room doctor, Chase - aka Dr McHottie, and his best friend Josie - the owner of Sunshine Bakery and, as Chase calls her, a world-class dessertier. Chase is having the worst luck possible finding an apartment to rent and Josie is in need of a roommate. They have a lightbulb moment and decide to move in together and why not? They're besties, they know each other as well as they can, and they have vague guidelines. And if there's a simmering attraction there, well they're both smart enough to lock that right down. They both have reasons for wanting to ensure they won't lose the precious friendship they currently enjoy so are understandably hesitant in taking things to a new level. They both also know that when best friends turn to lovers, it's hard to get the friendship back. That's all well and good until limits are tested and they reach the (truly sexy) point of no return.
Do you want to know about the characters? Probably not so I'll be quick about them: likable is too mild a word for how I felt about Chase and Josie. Separately, they're fun and loving and yeah, likable but throw them together and they are phenomenally addictive.
I read every single word of this book with a smile on my dial, an occasional snort, and more than a few outright laughs. The book being told in Chase's viewpoint resulted in some seriously swoony moments most particularly, the moment he realizes he's in love with Josie. My heart is still all aflutter. We also get a bit of insight into Josie's thoughts in the form of recipes which adds a lovely touch to their story! And frankly, if I was the cooking kind, I'd be whipping up a dessert storm with some of these.
Aside from the relationship development, there were two other factors that I really loved. The first is that neither of these two was rich or came from any money. They both work damn hard for what they have and appreciate everything all the more for it. The other factor is -and I've said it before- Blakely just keeps giving us characters with close families and friends that genuinely care. I can't express enough how important that is for me when I'm reading. It absolutely enhances my reading experience and this book delivers it in spades. Chase's relationship and interaction with his brother Max had me cracking up as the dynamics there are so easy to relate to. Speaking of Max *deep breath* he's a tattooed mechanic, has a smart mouth, and muscles to boot. How soon can I claim him as mine????
I adore this series. You can read each book as a standalone and almost feel like you're part of the family when older characters pop in. As far as I'm concerned, Blakely delivers the Full Package with this delightful RomCom and wraps it up with a perfect bow.

4.5 Stars - What a great friends to lovers story! Chase and Josie are wonderful together. Fun banter, great chemistry and I felt the sincerity between them that only happens between truly good friends. I love that he is a good guy who has a good heart. Josie’s cookbook recipes were great - they cracked me up.
There were a few sigh worthy moments and a major one... that totally brought a huge grin to my face! Sebastian York did a great job narrating. This book was a win for me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Full Package is the FULL PACKAGE!!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWhat a wonderful friends to lovers romance and so very funny too! Lauren Blakely has a unique way of writing fabulous stories that transport you with her charismatic characters that you want to befriend. This is the ultimate romantic comedy. Told in our leading mans point of view - Full Package is a fabulous read.
I have read many Lauren Blakely’s books and loved them all because I know I will laugh, fall in lust and often shed some tears... and "Full Package" is the full package indeed! It's a standalone but there are connections to her previous books – namely - Josie is Wyatt (Well Hung) and Nick's (Mister O) sister and Chase is Wyatt’s best mate (Well Hung). (I have been waiting for their story for some time as I knew it would be a great one - If you haven't read those books, that doesn’t matter as this is completely stand alone – but I’d recommend reading them when you get a chance as they are both 5 star reads!)
In Full Package, two best friends... who have been there for each other through thick and thin –prove that Men and Women Can be Friends. Chase Summers is back from working with Doctors Without Borders. Returning to a busy NYC hospital he needs a place to stay as he gave up his lease when he left… every time it looks like he has closed the deal... something happens to blow it.
Josie Hammer has been dealing with her own housing complications. She is thrilled her friend Natalie and her brother Wyatt are married and blissfully happy, however as Natalie was her roommate - Josie is now juggling the loan for her Bakery's expansion and her full rent.
When these BFF's are having one of their usual tastings... (Josie concocts some treat and Chase hoovers it down)... they realise… Josie needs a roommate... Chase happens to be looking for an apartment, so why not live together? Just because Chase finds his best friend sinfully sexy, sweet as sugar, doesn't mean he can't live with her - He can resist her... He has been doing it for years...
'Here’s my special gift: I’m the king of compartmentalization, and I come equipped with separate drawers for everything. Desires and actions. Lust and feelings. Love and sex. One goes here. The other goes there. And never the two shall meet.'
That is until she needs help falling asleep after an emotional night. The line has been crossed but he doesn't want to ruin what they have, he can't imagine a life without her in it… Surely, if an agreement is formed between them…. "Roommates with benefits until it has to end, then back to be the best friends again"... What could go wrong? Mmmmmmm what could go wrong indeed?
This story has such sweet, funny, sexy and endearing moments... I adored their banter; the way they hung out with each other. Chase was quick witted and Josie was his equal in every way. I love Chase... Dr McHottie indeed! He really is the full package but doesn't know it - smart, sweet, loving, loyal, funny, sexy as hell and a Doctor. Equally - I love Josie! She is beautiful, smart, sexy, and makes me want to bake. Together...they are the ultimate package. They are so much fun.
I didn't want it to end it was hilarious. Full Package has all the ingredients for a perfect friends to lovers romance and LAUREN Blakely just keeps excelling as a writer.

5.0 out of 5 stars I want to see this Dr RIGHT NOW!!!!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseHot sexy man.... check!
Confident sexy heroine...check!.
meltingly good romance..... check!
A Doctor... bonus, food recipes, bonus... and PS, a hot brother who I may say is fit as flip.
A sexy friends to lovers story with added sprinkles to delight, the hero and heroines jobs may be my favourite ever, I mean, can you get better than a Doctor to swoon over and then a baker to make your mouth water?
The characters Lauren created I fell in love with straight away, Lauren has the knack of creating these relatable, likeable and so freaking sexy characters who you fall into their storyline instantly and always have fun reading or in this case for me, listening. Yes, I had the immense pleasure of being read to by Sebastian York and he did Chase proud, I was in audio heaven as he brought the story to life.

2.0 out of 5 stars What all the fuss is about?
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseBoring. Really. The characters are lame and cheesy and not funny. The banter so weak. I kept skipping long and annoying dialogues. The only ok parts were a few hot sexy scenes. Ok, this story is much more realistic than most in this category but man if it’s not boring. No drama, no swooning, no nothing.
