With the honeymoon over and the new couple settling in at home, Gemma discovers that her duties as Charles’ wife are many and varied in Episode Two of this sizzling summer romance.

Set in a version of the modern world very loosely inspired by Jane Austen, this is the story of what happens when a lovely young woman unexpectedly finds herself married to a gorgeous British lord possessed of inexhaustible virility

In between encounters in every room of her husband’s sprawling ancestral manor house, not to mention the surrounding grounds, Gemma must cope with peculiar family members, a local village filled with secrets and her own overwhelming lust for the man she doesn’t dare to love.

Will she succumb to temptation and fall in love with her uninhibited and unexpectedly charming husband? Will Charles come up for air long enough to confess to his enchanting wife that she is the woman of his dreams? Find out this summer in TEMPTING GEMMA.

This is book 2 in this series and this author continues with the great storyline and character development! As I turned each page, Gemma and Charles seemed to jump right off the pages and pulled me right into their story as it continued to unfold!

Not my favorite by this author. This series is full of hot sex but not enough depth in the characters. Good writing though.

What a trip. Tempting Gemma just keeps getting better and better. In this episode, Gemma is profoundly surprised that Charles has devoted so much time to her. She was glad not to have to put up with her in-laws for they were always insulting her and making snide remarks at her. Although her nature is to question everything. There was even a moment when Charles asked her opinion. Gemma could get used to that. Generally he only considered his own opinions and feeling and not those of Gemma. In the book there is a passage that I will quote: "The world had yet to reform fully around her. She felt frightening fragile, as though the various parts of herself had yet to fit themselves back together. In truth, they might never do so. She could become someone else entirely, a person she might not even recognize. Surely not! Even as the thought occurred to her, her mind reared up against it. Never would she allow herself to be undone in any such way. Before that happened, she would remake him." I found this passage to be hopeful of Gemma's path to finding herself and her rightful place beside her husband and not always underneath him (or whatever position he put her in). We can only hope. In the mean time Charles educated Gemma of one of Ardsley Manor's traditions, the Village Fair. She fancifully thought she may be of use and take part and that Charles make think more of her than just a physical body to be used. Charles told her to talk to his sister Ismay for information on the fair. When Gemma approached Ismay about it she laughed and laughed and laughed. Gemma did not understand. Ismay told her to rest up for when she had to take part of the proceedings. The evening before the fair, Charles became drunk. Gemma was concerned for he did not normally imbibe that much, to that extent. Charles expressed his concern that he may not perform well. Gemma thought she would speak with him in the morning but he had already left for the fair when she woke. From here on out the story discusses all the wonders of the fair and how much fun Gemma had with Charles. The day was ending, night was falling and a whole new atmosphere was emerging. Gemma was wide eyed not believing what she was seeing. Then Charles left her side. What was happening to Gemma? What was her part in all of this? Where did Charles go? As I said earlier, the storyline gets better and better and the episodes are revealed. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jane Austen revised into modern day and age - or some stuff like that according to the pages before the story actually begins. I must say that I read all four straight after the other as I simply cannot stand such short stories that are continuing on and on after only six short chapters or so each. So to read them continuously is the most tolerable. But my oh my, thiese stories were almost not tolerable at all. Such degrading female writings, well lets say this I will really hardly ever read a book by this author again. Four in a day even though they were all really short is more than enough for my lifetime. Sorry for being so brutally honest. Of course this is only my opinion and others really likely have totally opposite opinions.

I don't want to say anything about the actual story because I hate spoilers, so I am only going to say that I loved this installment. It is sexy, dirty, a little bit dark, and short enough to be read in an evening. It is full of all the things I love about Josie Litton's stories, and the mix of modern and historical is beautiful.

Okay, I'm cautiously optimistic. Charles seems to realize the Gemma is more than sexual object. He appears to value her thoughts and opinion. Oh, there is still plenty of sex - Charles is just as randy, as ever. But, it's clear that he actually cares about Gemma. "In "Tempting Gemma 2," we see subtle changes in the newlywed's relationship. The fair really threw me. All that laughing and smirking from Ismay and Charles over-imbibing. What do they know, and will they share it with Gemma? Read for yourselves! On to book three! I received this book as an ARC and I volunteered this review.

The tale continues with Charles confusing Gemma further with his gentle and sweet attentions. Gemma is confused on many levels and Charles does nothing to ease her dis-ease.

There is to be a fair in the village and Gemma is excited, yet Charles becomes drunk the night before. She is unable to find the reason for his distress. He is more sexually attentive than ever and she wants to believe he has feelings for her.

Nothing is what it seems. Gemma is still in limbo with a husband who has a voracious sexual appetite, who suddenly seems more warm than cold.

Sexy hot, and a page turner.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Josie Litton writes this series of books not only with eroticism on her mind, but also with a lot of satire and vivid imagination. Imagine Jolly Old England of Jane Austen's time, but with all of this years's more's and thinking added in.

There is no doubt in my mind that Josie Litton knows how to write erotica. And no doubt in my mind that this whole series was written tongue in cheek, at least partly. And I've enjoyed it as I do erotica. But, there are a couple of things that are working against this series. First, that the stories are very short, like novellas that are grouped together. I have no problem with novellas except that the plot/story behind this novella needs to be developed a bit more for it to be tempting enough for readers to continue reading the series. Yes, #2 was definitely as hot if not hotter #1, and yes, I would be happy to read the next in the series. I just think that it needs more plot, because I couldn't ask for more action, lol. I received an ARC of this book from the author. This review is completely my words and no compensation has been received.

The series is really starting to heat up! In part two the couple continue their erotic adventure out doors with several amorous picnics and rides around the estate! The world built by Ms. Litton carries the old Victorian mores of privilege to an erotic extreme in modern times! I am looking forward to the next part with extreme anticipation!
