    Oh, I'm not sure how long it takes to develop a habit, but I sure do look forward to my weekly "Gemma fix!" Part four of the episodic series, "Tempting Gemma 4," by Josie Litton, begins with Charles losing brownie points, with the readers trying to determined whether or not, Charles is a "keeper." Announcing a house party, involving Charles' Polo Club, with about twenty-four hours notice? Not cool, Chuck! Our Gemma is not easily ruffled, in fact, even the barbs and jabs delivered by the companions of Charles' polo cronies, can't discompose Gemma. She even manages to find somewhat of an ally, in Countess Winfred Bonneville. We aren't privy to all of the antics being carried out, throughout Ardsley Manor, until the wee hours, but we know - that night, Charles only had eyes for Gemma. There are more and very, generous points tallied on the plus side, for Charles, as he not only chooses suitable attire for Gemma, but then, drenches her in drool-worthy, DIAMONDS! Throughout the festivities, some of the activities are crude, barbaric and with marginalization of women, but somehow, Charles keeps his hands and his... um...divining rod, firmly pointing to only, Gemma. When Gemma recounts her days at Mary Magdalene, to Charles, some of his questions denote concern and compassion and he even seems to care what she... THINKS! Glancing at the tally board, after episode four, I believe that there may be hope for Charles, yet! I received this book as an ARC and I volunteered this review.

    When Charles informs Gemma that there will be a house party at Ardsley Manor, beginning the very next day, her mind is awhirl with all the details that must be ironed out. However, as the guest arrive and conversation turns to the Polo Match and the club where it is held, her concerns turn to what deviant acts will be performed there and what Charles’ expectations of her would be.

    I was happy to see that Charles is actually protective and possessive of Gemma and that she in return finds herself wanting to claim him publicly as well. (Not in a lascivious manner either, thankfully, for I am more than ready to see this couple settle down just a tad instead of sharing the goods with anyone who is in the vicinity. Lol!)

    The relationship between this couple is deepening and near the end we are given a little glimpse of Gemma’s intentions. I must confess, I have wondered if she will take a stand. Although, she seems to be well adjusted to life as Charles’ wife.

    I have been reading these books out of order but still I can understand them and how Gemma’s mind is working. Looking forward to see how it ends. Lust, sex, lies. And it looks like these two may have an HEA! I was asked to read and share my honest opinion.

    Just when I thought Gemma had been getting through to Charles' thick skull, he pulls an insensitive dolt move and tells Gemma they're (meaning she) having a party starting tomorrow. When she asks about how she'll start to put all the details together to entertain a large crowd (his polo team that she knew nothing of, and their significant others), he nonchalantly informs her the staff will surely take care of it, then grabs her chest so he can do to it what he did earlier. Sigh...I'm starting to wonder if Charles is ever going to wake up, if Gemma will make him wake up.

    After the party, (where Gemma finds out his teammates' significant others, aside from one named Winfred, are all jealous of her and if she's not careful, could start to come after her husband), Charles takes her to a club for members of the team. It's just what you can imagine, a "gentlemen's" club, and all sorts of naughty things happen, including the members eating sushi off one of the women's body. It's all very stimulating but pretty degrading, and Gemma's not exactly thrilled that her hubby isn't just taking her to their room so they can enjoy each other. But she is happy to see that, unlike his teammates, Charles is not availing himself of any fun with the other women who work there or with his teammates' significant others. Hm, food for thought for Gemma.

    There's an appendix at the end that I really liked where Gemma tells Charles of some of her experiences at the MM school. It was pretty horrible what the girls there went through and even Charles' thick brain realizes that. He just may be coming around!

    I'm excited to see where Josie takes Gemma and Charles next. Will Charles ever come to realize his wife is more than just a nice body for him to use? Will he ever come to realize that women are equal to men? Will Gemma get her way and become a lawyer to help women across the world gain equal rights? I hope so!

    Josie Litton’s Tempting Gemma 4 is about to have a house party!! Our dear Charles informs Gemma that they’re having a house party and he’s invited his polo team plus significant others for the weekend. Gemma is flabbergasted as any wife should be at such short notice. The entertainment is an exhibition game then off to the gentleman’s Club where debauchery takes place. Gemma is happy to see that Charles doesn’t participate like the other men. Charles Only has eyes for his young wife. We also get to see some of Gemma’s life prior and during her time at Mary Magdalene School for Females. Overall love how this story is going. I have voluntarily read and reviewed this book and can’t wait to read the next installment.
