4.3 out of 5 stars 33 ratings

Sebastian Baines is the Bad Boy your mother always warned you about: YOUNG, HOT & LOADED. It’s a lethal combination. And he’s taking it Stateside. A charmer with the gift for sealing deals, he’s at the top of his game and should fit right in at Berger & Schwartz. His contract is for one year. 365 days in which he plans to make some mergers and acquisitions of his own, and cut a serious sexual swathe through the female population. He’s never had a problem pulling the birds in his native London, but there’s at least one New York girl who doesn’t think he’s God’s Gift ... And it’s driving him crazy. God’s Gift 1: Taking it Stateside contains sexually explicit content.

“Frost Trilogy is an amazing ride I never want to get off.” “An erotic love affair that will sweep your hearts away.”

It all started when Terri discovered erotic romance which led her to ponder what her ideal romantic hero looked like. And thus, Nick Frost was born, and the epic love he shares with Mia spanning the three full-length novels of FROST TRILOGY. After being nagged by her readers, she followed this up with Aiden and Jen’s erotic love story in the Frost Trilogy spin-off, TORN.

For those of you who like your romance to be less explicit, Frost Trilogy and Torn are also available in romantic/steamy versions.

“Eroticism dripping from the pages.” … “Dirty, sinful, and completely satisfying.”

“This author knows how to stimulate body and mind w/out skimping on the ooey, gooey, details erotica fans crave.”

Terri also writes full-on erotica short stories that pull no punches. An idea for a hot sex-scene pops into her filthy mind, and she goes from there… Although she’s written other erotica genres, she particularly loves HOT AF, Rich, Dominant, Alpha Males.

Her first two erotica short stories, FEAST ON ME and PIE FOR BREAKFAST, were originally written for anthologies that she was invited to contribute to. And she has continued with: TIT 4 TAT and DIRTY TRUCKER, and most recently, PLEASING MR MAXWELL.

As much as Terri enjoys writing erotic/steamy romance and erotica, she also likes to venture into other literary genres when the mood takes her. Which is why she went off on a tangent into crime fiction with her psychological thriller, A PERSON COULD DISAPPEAR HERE, because, for her, writing is all about the characters and their story rather than genre.

As English as they come, Terri couldn’t survive without tea. She’s been vegetarian for decades. From Rachmaninov (whose piano concertos she often listens to while writing) to Aerosmith, her taste in music is best described as eclectic. And she makes a mean chocolate cake.

God's Gift 1 is the story of an English player, Sebastian, and the Italian American woman, Gina, who steals his heart. To be honest, it took me a while to warm up to Sebastian. He's not cruel with women, just very casual, and I wasn't getting a lot of deep feelings from him. Also, they fell in love quickly and I wished we had been given more internal dialogue and got to experience that fall. I never quite figured out why they fell in love, beyond intense physical attraction.

But once they were in a relationship, the story takes off. I have read this author before and she is great at exploring how people's pasts and the moral dilemmas they face, can trip them and their love lives up. Sebastian just wants to do his job and love Gina, but he is swimming with Wall Street sharks, and things are never easy.

The story is primarily told from his POV with some of Gina's tucked in. Sebastian is English so his dialogue definitely reflects that. Some phrases might be new to American readers but that is part of the fun of reading this book. The sex is hot and steamy, along with some really sweet moments when they realize they are in love. This is Part 1 of a two part book so we end on a bit of a cliffhanger. They are together and love each other but their jobs are getting in the way of them planning a future. And Sebastian is going to need Gina to stand by him as life hits him in the face.

So God's Gift 1 started out slow for me but I'm so glad I stayed with it because it ended strong. I'm looking forward to Part 2!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

God’s Gift 1, “taking it stateside”, written by Terri George. The first in its series. It lured me in with the main character, Sebastian Baines being British. I was reading in my head with an accent lol. Sebastian is a hot dream making deals and steals in the corporate world in the UK. His company decides to send him stateside to New York to work, free apartment, amenities, year long work contract with the salary to boot. Thinking he's on top of the world he's introduced to a junior associate, Gina; an Italian that sets his intra caveman on fire. Sebastian and Gina are teamed up to make a takeover happen. When a work getaway function presents itself, Sebastian and Gina unite together to seal the deal. Upon celebrating the win, Gina throws caution to the wind and falls to Sebastian's charms. Gina is furious to know she let her guard down with Sebastian. It's after that night he discovers he is done with being a womanizer. Knowing he going to have to work harder for this deal. When his work is sabotaged he has to figure out who set him up to fail. Everything he has accomplished is blown up and his time here thinking his time here in New York is over, having Gina by his side could soften the blow. The book ends on a cliffhanger!! I can't wait for the second book to come out so I can finally know where their love ends up!

Sebastian Baines is a British lothario who just landed a cushy job in America and is ready to work his way through the female population of New York City. This red hot hunk is not easy to like in the beginning. His idea of fun rarely lasts past one sweaty night, but behind the bravado, we are given a glimpse of a man that may have a reason for the way he acts — he’s hiding a rough past.

Shortly after arriving in the Big Apple, Sebastian meets his junior associate, Gina. This feisty Italian will give him a run for his money.

Hot sex scenes with a side of feeling. What more could you want from an erotic romance? I would add that this does end on a cliff hanger.

Sebastian Baines is the perfect definition of a playboy. He loves everything about women, especially bedding them. He is not a hearts and flowers type of guy. He is gorgeous, rich and every woman wants to bed him and every man wishes they could be him. He has worked his way through practically every willing woman in London.

Sebastian works in mergers and acquisitions and is at the top in his field, and when the company he works for is taken over by Berger & Schwartz, he is given a great opportunity...work stateside in New York City. His contract is for one year so that gives him exactly that amount of time to work his way through the female population of New York City.

Sebastian settles in pretty easily and looks forward to making a name for himself at Berger & Schwartz. After all they are the ones that made him a sweet deal to bring him there. He is immediately assigned a project that has him working with Gina. She is an Italian spitfire, who is extremely attractive and makes men swoon. She has confidence in her abilities in the field, but also knows a womanizer when she sees one. Despite the fact that she finds Sebastian attractive, she knows that he is a womanizer and wants nothing to do with him. They have to work together on the project assigned to them and she does not want to jeopardize her career that she has worked so hard for. Mergers and acquisitions is a man's world and she does not want to get a reputation as a woman who sleeps her way to the top.

As much as Gina tries to ignore Sebastian's charm and whit, she can't help but be drawn to him. Sebastian of course finds Gina attractive and most definitely wants to sleep with her. However, as they work closely together, he sees a side of her that makes him yearn for more than just a quick hook up. He finds himself wanting something more permanent with her.

Sebastian and Gina were the perfect match. Sebastian can be arrogant and Gina calls him out on it. Gina has a tendency to jump to conclusions due to her insecurities, but Sebastian won't let her get away with it. Their back and forth banter with each other is so effortless, it is as if they have known and been with each other for years. They were made for each other. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
