Overview

Goodbye Again is a poem for children - to be read aloud by parents or by the children themselves. It tells the story of little Emma and her siblings, Bruno and Anne, who have to move to another country - yet again! Emma is devastated at having to leave her life behind, having to say goodbye to all her friends. She vows never to eat again if she can't have her favourite food in the country they are moving to.

At the end of the book, there is room for children to add their own story and a list of activities to complete with their parents. And finally, there are some words of advice for parents on how best to support their children through 'Third Culture Kid grief'.

Follow the family as they say goodbye to all the places and people they have met and treasured. Watch them face up to their feelings of sadness - together - and see how this helps Emma understand the importance of saying a proper goodbye.

She is greatly interested in psychological research that further investigates factors impacting the life, well-being and adaptation of mobile families and children. Antje Peters has lived happily in the most beautiful state of Saarland in Germany for her entire life. Her main profession is being a teacher for 10 to 16-year-old children, and she teaches them German, history, religion, arts and music. Art and music have also played an important part in her personal life: Antje passionately plays the bassoon in an orchestra, sings in a choir and is now learning to play the organ. Creativity has forever played an important role and she has dedicated much of her private time to drawing - taking classes in watercolour, acrylic drawing, nude painting and learning how to illustrate. When her sister Katja told her about her children's book and was looking for an illustrator, she immediately offered to join the team. Antje lives with her husband and foster daughter in Blieskastel, Germany.
