    ⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, exhibitionism, spanking for punishment and pleasure, voyeurism, multiple partners, etc.; violence stereotypical of the genre such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, subterfuge, rape, attempted rape, human trafficking of females and children, etc.

    There are grammatical errors throughout, but nothing difficult to interpret. These included punctuation errors (i.e. hi,s ,,), incorrect word choice (ashes vs lashes), missing words, and extra inserted words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

    I first discovered Addison Jane through another series (The Phoenix Club Girl Diaries) and I just had to go back and catch up on her other MC stories / series. I am so glad I did, as it is letting me get to know some of the reoccurring characters and how they met and found their way to HEA.

    The storyline is of a dark theme, but like some of the other stories I read, also full of hope and love. Addison does a great job weaving music and soul throughout the entire story, which I personally appreciate since I feel similar to our heroine about it. All of this wrapped in with mystery, pain, and action … what’s not to love?!

    In this story, Harmony is a Club Girl with the Brothers By Blood MC in Athens, Alabama. She has been with them for 3 years and goes to college where she is studying music. Harmony’s best friend, Chelsea, is also a Club Girl, and is a almost finished with her degree.

    Harmony loves her commitment free lifestyle. She gets to live at the clubhouse, drink, party and take care of her men, all without having to worry about growing attached and then them walking away.

    Chelsea and Harmony are at the local mall shopping for a dress when things takes a weird turn. Their MC President’s best friend is coming in to celebrate his recent elevation to President of his own chapter a few hours away. So all of the girls are excited to meet and party with a few new men.

    While Harmony arrives to meet her friend at the mall’s snack bar, a well dressed man continues pestering Chelsea for her name and phone number and is not taking “no” as an answer. Harmony basically tells him to go away and leave them alone and he still continues on, so she calls their President and he wants to speak with the man. After which, the man slams Harmony’s phone on the table cracking the screen, and then deciding that is not enough, picks it up and throws it against the wall, before letting them know it wasn’t over.

    When the girls arrive back at the clubhouse, the men from the other chapter has gotten there and everyone is in “church”. The girls got ready before so they are just hanging around and Harmony is talked into trying to pole dance. A slow and sultry song is playing and she loses herself in the music and just moves naturally. When she is finished she finds herself looking into an electric set of blue eyes and feels an immediate connection …

    A while back I had heard murmurs about an upcoming MC series featuring club girls. Truthfully I really wasn’t all that excited about the thought of a series surrounding women who freely let themselves be passed around from biker to biker. I mean let's face it, a lot of the books have at least one, two, or more “club girls” who dress like total you know whats and are mean as snakes to boot willing to do anything to become an Old Lady. My thoughts were pretty much along the line of “who wants to read a book about that? Not me.” I should have known better. We forgive our favorite alpha's for this type behavior, why are we putting our own double standards on strong h’s who act the same? Actually, several popular biker series have club girls who are strong women that are comfortable in their own skin and who like not being tied down to one man. This is the kind of heroine I can get behind. After the release date, reviews started coming in and they were pretty good. I decided to get off my high horse and check Harmony out. I am definitely eating some humble pie, because Harmony was a dang good little biker read from a point of view that we rarely get.

    Harmony is a “Club Girl” for the Brothers By Blood MC. She knew exactly what people thought of her, and she didn’t care. She had her reasons for doing what she did and she refused to feel bad about it. I was prepared to dislike her, but I ended up loving her character. Yes, she got it on with any brother that wanted it, but she was truly fond of almost all of them and she loved the club. She was strong, loyal, knew her place in life and was happy with it, and she wasn’t TSTL. She also had no intention of becoming an Old Lady and wasn’t scraping, scrapping, and competing for that.

    The BBB MC are 1%’ers but this is more a MC lite book than a truly gritty one. There is violence but since the book is about a club girl, the criminal activities of the club are barely mentioned. Most of the action surrounds the unfortunate interest a scout for a slave trafficking ring has in her. I liked all but one of the brothers. They were rough around the edges, but an extremely interesting group that I look forward to reading more about.

    Kit is the new President of another chapter and good friends with Optimus, the President of Harmony’s chapter, so he was visiting to celebrate. He takes one look at Harmony and is floored. An extremely short period of time later, he decides she is exactly what he is looking for in an Old Lady. Kit was alpha to the nth degree but he didn’t want a doormat of a woman and I loved that about him. He was also hot and the chemistry between them was scorching.

    There was a lot to love about Kit and Harmony’s story. The insta-love thing was a bit of a turnoff, there were a few eye rolling moments, plus a couple things that I could see coming from a mile off, but nothing that took away from my enjoyment of the book. There was also a huge surprise towards the end setting up the next book. It’s not a cliffhanger by any means, Harmony and Kit’s story is complete but the Brothers by Blood story is continuing on. This is the type of series I really like.

    I love books that surprise me and surpass my expectations and this book definitely fits in that category. I even liked it enough that even though I got it through the Kindle Unlimited program, I went ahead and just bought the book. Needless to say, I can’t wait to get the next Club Girl’s book.

    This is the first book I have read by Jane Addison and I can honestly say it has been a bit of a roller-coaster of emotions from start to finish. I did not expect it to draw me in like it did as the two main characters, Harmony and Kit, did not immediately gel with me but within a handful of chapters I began to get them. This is certainly not your usual wine-and-roses romance (if that's what you're expecting you are in for a shock!) - the lifestyle and characters are portrayed in stripped-down no-frills fashion and is a perfect mix of suspense, drama and emotions. I just didn't expect the characters to grip me to the extent I would be weeping at one particular traumatic event late in the book involving a minor but pivotal character but it certainly did. I will definitely be reading more of Jane's books - if they are as gripping as this one I will be thrilled to bits. Absolutely loved it!
