I am honored and blessed to have been awarded a 2020 NYC Big Book Award Distinguished Favorite for my sci-fi fantasy novel and a 2022 PenCraft award for the first book in my witchy vampire series. I am a vampire-obsessed romance novelist and dark poetess, spending my days raising my daughter, traveling with my husband, and attending concerts with friends.     Each poem in this collection is wonderfully written and captures a wide range of emotions. The works in this book are emotional, captivating, chill-inducing, magical, and powerful.

    Ginger Lee shows her talent and diverse writing capabilities in interesting ways, while keeping a strong theme from start to finish.

    Heart Burn starts out heavy and remains heavy mostly throughout. There are some poems toward the end that are a little more lighthearted and fun, which almost gives you an opportunity to breathe and let the darker stuff sink in.

    There's literally nothing bad here. This book of poems is excellent and has become an instant favorite.

    Introduced to Ginger Lee via Twitter, and the hashtag #crowcalls. It was here where I was taken by her unique, and poetic voice. As I continued to get lost in her words, I discovered she had her own book of poetry. It’s a different tempo from #crowcalls (still has some of the same threads), but the shares a descriptive, solid voice that drew me in from the beginning. So happy to have ‘Heart Burn’ in my collection. It’s a for certain re-read, timeless poetry that demands your attention.
