    When it comes to Hero & Dani there isn’t too much holy about them even with Hero being the VP of Heaven’s Rejects and Hero thinking that Dani was heaven sent. It’s quite the opposite with all the dirty sinful things that these two have done separately and together. Separately Hero is one badass biker who will take out whoever needs to be dealt with and he is pretty much a manwhore when it comes to the club mommas. Separately Dani’s sins are quite numerous too because for some reason she is running from the law with blood on her hands. Now together these two sure know how to sin! Dani is a smart mouth feisty woman who can handle herself quite well and Hero is all man and likes nothing better than a feisty woman as long as she knows how to please him again and again. (and again)

    Dani is on the run and headed to California where she finds a roommate that she has never met before in Ricca. Ricca works at a bar and has talked Dani into working there as well since Dani needs a job and hasn’t found anything yet that is willing to pay her under the table. Ricca is fun but she also has some secrets that Dani knows nothing of and one of them is a boyfriend who is in the MC Twisted Tribe which is a rival to Heaven’s Rejects. Ricca has talked Dani into going to Red’s Bar and tipping a few back and before long Dani is dancing when a man comes up behind her to dance and she can tell instantly that there is something electric between her and this stranger. About the time the stranger is going to make a move on Dani, Ricca gets sick and Dani has to leave the bar.

    Hero has his eyes on this girl at Red’s but once asking a bit about her he finds out that though not much is known about her he finds out that her friend Ricca’s boyfriend is from Twisted Tribe MC. So in Hero’s eyes that can only mean that no matter what he felt for Dani he has to let it go because his brothers in the MC come first. So what is poor Hero to do…go back to the clubhouse and try to screw anyone in sight trying to get Dani out of his head? Isn’t he surprised when one day he finds out that Dani is now being protected within his own clubhouse? Dani had witnessed some stuff involving Twisted Tribe and the Heaven’s Rejects aren’t sure if Dani is a plant from the rival MC or if she is actually in trouble and running from them.

    Even with the intense chemistry that is going on between Hero and Dani is it worth putting his brothers’ lives on the line and taking that leap of faith that Dani is who she says she is and is need of some help from these guys? And what the hell is Dani hiding that has her so scared that she will trust no one with the truth and that includes Hero no matter how close they become? And will Dani be able to forgive Hero for the little faith that he has had in her and for that matter will Hero be able to forgive himself for the position that he put Dani in?

    If you are looking for a dirty biker book this is one that you need to get your hands on because it is packed with the warring mc’s, a biker that melts your panties, and a female that will crush a guy’s balls (literally) if she needs to. Plus it has you guessing up until the end just what the hell Dani has been hiding along with one hell of a surprise when it is revealed.

    We first meet Dani running from her previous life. She’s scared and sees no other option but to disappear. She takes a room with a girl she found on the internet and instantly you can see that the two of them will be friends.

    We jump straight into the action with Hero, a former soldier and current VP of Heaven’s Rejects MC. A senior, well loved club member is murdered by a rival gang. Hero regularly uses one of the club ‘girls’ Ruby. It is one of my least favourite things, seeing a future book-boyfriend with someone else, but it’s definitely in keeping with the typical MC member behaviour you see in other books/shows.

    Hero and Dani have a brief encounter at Red’s bar. Hero and his guys realise that Ricca (the roommate) is the girlfriend of the rival MC’s president’s son, so they leave and nothing comes of their encounter but Dani can’t stop thinking about the man she danced with.

    Ricca may not be the friend it first seemed. After she does a bunk with her boyfriend’s money, he kidnaps and beats Dani. She escapes before they can get her to the second location but because of her situation ahead can’t go to the police and her things are looking dire for her.

    After witnessing a crime Dani is taken by the Heaven’s Rejects MC. Despite not knowing if she is tied to their rivals, Hero has fallen for her instantly. He’s trying to fight it because his loyalty is to the club he sees as family.

    Despite being a captive Dani seems to be comfortable, if not exactly thriving at the clubhouse. When the Twisted Tribe start war, Dani is caught in the crossfire, beaten and almost raped by the VP.

    Out of nowhere after yet another incident, Hero claims Dani. He’s pushy and arrogant about it, asking and not telling her what is happening. It should be a major red flag but honestly it’s hot AF 🥵🥵🥵.

    This book is pretty dark and those with triggers should definitely read the warnings first. Poor Ricca.

    I actually love Hero. He’s a big softie at heart and it’s so clear that he is so in love with her.

    Dani’s past finally catches up to her and you realise why she’s been running.

    Ahh! It’s so tense I’m practically covering my eyes to read 🙈🙈🙈

    I’m not always huge on MC books, I find them very hit or miss, but I’ve absolutely loved this one. The plot was great, it was well paced, steamy and I completely fell in love with the characters. I’ll definitely check out more of Avelyn’s books in the future.

    Book 1 starts off in a dramatic way and continues to go through quite a lot of action and drama until the end. This keeps you on your toes never knowing quite what is coming next, your heart races and emotions are high too.

    Dani fleas her home to get away, from what, we don't know for quite a while! Biker 'man', he's definitely not a boy, Hero, is captivated by Dani straight away. His thoughts are purely sexual however things don't go according to plan.

    The story is told from both lead characters points of view and at times I feel the crossover of story retelling was a little repetitive however at other times very informative. The pace of the book is fast and the storyline is definitely entertaining.

    The sex is hot but the intimacy between the two is special and endearing. Both characters are really likeable and the honesty they share about themselves is refreshing. The secondary characters are also either fun or have a depth that makes you want to know more, I can't wait to read the next book.

    When I started reading this book i thought okay its the usual biker read and contemplated not reading it, How wrong was I? Full of angst, mystery, yeh violence and sex. But with a story that pulls you in. It was so worth persevering with the first couple of chapters and I really enjoyed reading the story in one sitting.
    So hadnt read this author before but going to look for the next one. Recommend.
