Avery Samson grew up on a ranch outside of a small west Texas town. Since she could remember, she’s had her face stuck in a book. High School graduation found her leaving ranch life for the big city.

After living all over the state of Texas, she now finds herself back on one of the family ranches near Dallas with her husband surrounded by cattle. A lot of them. They’re everywhere! When not traveling or reading, she spends her time writing.

    I read the first book in this series and thought it was extremely good, so I went into this with with high expectations - Avery Sampson blew the doors off this one! It’s smoking hot, romantic, sweet and tender, and oh so much more.

    Lily and Matthew are fantastic together, both are imperfect people who are perfect for each other. I enjoy reading both POVs and the surrounding characters are awesome! I pray she writes stories for Matthew brothers sometime in the future.

    I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review. This author is someone I want to read more stories from!

    Lily is a strong dynamic woman. She likes what she likes and goes for it. Her first impression when meets Matthew through mutual friends is, he isn’t her usual type. She is very much attracted to him and is about to learn that appearances can be deceiving.

    Matthew has recently moved to town looking for a fresh start and is drawn to Lily from their first meeting. Matthew knows what he likes and what he wants from women he is with. His needs are very distinct. Now they need to decide if those needs will bring them closer or tear them apart?

    This novel started off as interesting with the flirtatious dialogue between Lily and Matt. However, when they became intimately involved it seemed to drag a bit. I found it interesting again when Lily’s parents and Matt’s family were introduced towards the end as they added some much needed comic relief. Matt’s brothers offered backstory for Matt’s emotional distress. The other secondary characters seemed one dimensional. I wish the author had introduced Matt’s brothers earlier or had one or two of them invade his space in Texas. They were high energy and entertaining.

    This novel is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. It does end on a weepy and romantic HEA. I really enjoyed the way that Lily and Matthew supported each other with every obstacle they faced and there is a great cast of secondary characters that enhance the story.

    I’m enjoying this series so much!
    Her’s To Win is the second book in the Sideswiped series. It was fantastic! I loved Matthew and Lily’s story! Lily is a strong, independent woman who secretly wants a man to take control in the bedroom. Will Matthew be the man she needs? I loved Lily and Matthew together. They had incredible chemistry and attraction. They made an amazing couple! This is a well written, captivating, page turning story that I recommend to everyone. Read it and I’m sure you’ll love it too!

    A temporary fling turns into a sassy exploration of love and desire! With the second book in her Sideswiped series Avery Samson brings a tempting display of power exchange in HERS TO WIN. The characters are easy to like and get to know, and though this author's craft needs a little polishing as she grows into her series, the concept of the story was great, and the follow through was satisfying. This was my first read from this author, but I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another.

    Matthew is a nice guy. He likes sex a certain way, but he's an easygoing boyfriend outside of the bedroom. I especially loved getting to see them interact with his family.

    Lily is a sweetheart, but her newness to living outside the vanilla lifestyle leads her to run her mouth a little too much and causes an issue or two that have potential to ruin their relationship.

    I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a bit of dominance, bondage and BDSM in the midst of a cute relationship.

    I enjoyed the first book in this series but I liked this one even more. I loved how this hold book took the whole "What You See Is Not Always What You Get" idea an ran with it. I was easily swept up into Matthew and Lily's romance. The chemistry and pull of attraction between them was steamy and I thought impossible to ignore. I relished witnessing these two make discoveries about each other and themselves. By my own volition I am posting a sincere review.

    This is the 2nd book in this intriguing series and is Matthew and Lily’s journey. Lily has always been to one to step up to the plate for when she is needed, and for once she wants someone who will step in and make the decisions and control for her. The chemistry between Lily and Matthew is intense and undeniable, and Lily is more that a match in challenging him. Is Matthew that man for Lily? This is a well written story which is intriguing, entertaining, and leads to a steamy and all-consuming tale which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author and I recommend her work for all.

    I didn’t read the first book of the series but I didn’t feel lost at all. This is a new author to me and I will definitely be reading more of her work. Lily meets Matthew through mutual friends and he is so not her type but she gives him a chance anyway. Matthew is not what he portrays to the outside world. He portrays the quiet, shy guy but he has very distinct tastes and that bleeds into the bedroom also. Is Matthew the guy for Lily? There is an undeniable chemistry between these two, but attraction and chemistry aren’t everything.
