BALLISTIC KIDS

Thom's first foray into writing and publishing was "Ballistic Kids", a rock 'n' roll rhyming story about a young band of the same name. Thom played in several bands in his younger years and enjoyed a brief career as a recording and touring music artist.

Ballistic Kids is a semi-autobiographical underdog tale of friendship and rock 'n' roll camaraderie which highlights the benefits that playing music can have on children's personal development, confidence and self-image.

Written in verse and illustrated by a close friend (and seriously awesome drummer) Matt Riste, Ballistic Kids comes with its own soundtrack by another amazing musician and friend, Scott Lee Andrews.

Ballistic Kids won the GOLD MEDAL in The Wishing Shelf Book Awards 2020, soon after its release. People have said some nice things about the book:
