    This couple was seriously major couple goals!

    They met due to a dare bet that he lost with his sister and as favor for a friend on her part as a contestant backed out at the last minute.

    They ended up meeting on the street before hand without her realizing as she had her glasses knocked off.

    Once they got together though sparks flew instantly. Their first kiss was sweet and tender and then turned into fire for the next one (and pretty much every kiss there after with them lol)

    He is absolutely hands down the gooiest and sweetest male character I’ve ever read in a book and to boot he has the dirtiest mouth and mind!

    What a combo! Avery is super sweet and a side of shy being an only child if older parents and an outcast due to her unique looks (super pale blonde hair with freckles)

    Daniel looks at like she hung the moon from the first time he sees her and never ever stops!

    I loved how their small struggle with fertility was put in here also as not every couple get pregnant easily (but I also loved how it wasn’t drug out too much as it can also be triggering for some women)

    Fairy tales have the big kiss at the end after you get all the background story of the characters (mostly the heroine). Well what if the first meeting didn't go quite like expected and the big kiss happens at the beginning and then you get to see how they fall in love and their journey to their HEA and beyond.

    Avery Conner best friend begs her to participate in an experiment where she would have to kiss a complete stranger. She very reluctantly agrees and ends up having a painful run in with a male stranger and flees inside once he leaves her to get her something to help with her injury. Because she lost her glasses in the their run in she doesn't realize the guy she is about to kiss is the stranger from outside. Daniel Stewart felt really bad for the stranger and thinks she got away until he sees that she is the one he is about to kiss. He is very excited and as they have a super hot kiss neither is expecting it sets them in motion to a relationship neither one thought they would have.

    Avery is a accountant that is very introvert and shy. She hasn't had the best luck in relationships but she has a really big heart for those in her life. Daniel is a veterinarian, more assertive and though he has had relationships in the past he hasn't met the woman he feels is right to be a permanent part of her life. They are attracted to each other when they meet and because of how much they feel they decide to jump into dating with both feet. They both have some moments with how much they feel but also aren't willing to not have each other either.

    This book is seriously low to no angst. The couple does have bumps in the relationship but nothing super dramatic. It is cheesy and something that those who can suspend belief or like insta love or love sweet romance with some good heat would really really enjoy. It has a epilogue that extends way into the future for those who love that too. So if you want a break from high angst or want one of those laid back with some humor and sexy times read you might enjoy this book.

    I LOVED this book. Truth be told I have been a fan of Melanie Moreland from her very first book. She has crafted a number of books now in a way where a clear and concise evolution has occurred. Her first books were much more serious and I LOVED them dearly and still read them. I have also had tremendous respect for her as she has respected all of her readers by publishing her work in paperback.
    With this latest book Ms. Moreland has reached a new level. Holy Cow...she can write books that are hysterical. I was taken on a journey with this book where I would burst out into peels of laughter. Many times this happened so folks may have taken a wide circle to avoid me. Some snorting may have occurred. I loved both of the primary characters as well as the secondary characters. A sequel could seriously happen. Each person was skillfully drawn and I could visualize myself along for the ride. This was a couple I would want to have as friends and I would want to live in this world. The story was also fully realized. What Ms. Moreland artfully did was take me on a journey that was funny as all get out and then she decided to mess with my head and drag me into a series of twists I did not see coming. I had just gotten used to the idea this was just going to be a funny and light read. It would have still worked for me but under the skillful hands this author crafted a story with depth, dimension, and serious emotion. She also did something at the end of this book that I found wonderfully shocking. No spoiler from me but OMG...nothing like pulling on my last heartstring Melanie! I would love for a sequel to be born from this book and I was sad when I had no pages left to read. I wanted more...I always want more from this magically gifted author. She should be incredibly proud of herself and her latest magic. She has a gift for storytelling that I find breathtaking and fresh. denise bailey

    I loved 'It Started with a Kiss'. Yeah it was an insta-love, definitely sweet and possibly a little sugary for some and things initially happened in a fairly short space of time BUT it was nice to read a book that wasn't heavy on angst, with unexpected exes popping up or any other drama that I've read about lately.

    Avery was quiet and shy and in the past hadn't been made to feel 'enough' by anyone but her family and her best friend, Beth. As a favour Avery agrees to help Beth out by being a last minute stand-in for the filming of a video featuring strangers meeting for the first time.
    Daniel was a workaholic vet who lost a bet to his sister and had to turn up to a filming featuring 'first kisses' between strangers.

    Neither of them were particularly looking forward to the filming but from the first time they ran into each other there was a sizzle between this pair. Their first kiss was more than either of them expected and from there things moved quickly between the pair.

    There was a realness to how they felt about each other. They were funny, cute and sweet and when they go down to it they were hot.... I was rooting for things to go well for them from the start.
    I really liked the supporting characters and the what they added to the story.

    It Started with a Kiss was a well written, rounded out story that was so much more than just the meeting and building of a relationship between Daniel and Avery. Told in dual POV (which I'm a big fan of) we knew just how they both felt about each other throughout. I loved that the story went beyond them achieving their HEA and the epilogue was fab!!!

    Melanie Moreland has fast made it on to my 'auto one-click' list and I can't wait to see what's next for her!

    Having enjoyed The Contract so much, as soon as knew about this new Melanie Moreland book I was on it.
    One of the fastest love-at-first-sight or better love-at-first-touch/kiss ever read about. All too much too fast.
    To be honest, I prefer when the connection builds up slowly and then feelings grow on that. Not a fan of the fast track in such things.
    In addition, I like characters to be more on the broken side, at least one of them, messed-up a bit, not so flawless. Flawless characters make me feel inadequate and instead of giving me joy, they depress me, being far from flawless myself.
    That’s why my rating came to a halt in the middle. Aside from those reasons, it has been a nice reading so, if those things do not bother you, you may enjoy it thoroughly.
