    Aurora Day, from Terra-4, lived her life among the orphan creche. Scraping out an existence besides the cruelty of the Ceruleans guard. Word of an assassination attempt against Ambassador Scott, with the blame to be put on Terrans, reached her ears. She went to defuse the bomb but the idiots forgot a failsafe. Needless to say, she fled. " The fox", as she's known by her signature bright red hair, is now on the moon Clotho about to adopt an Imber baby. Her Invicta dragon warrior tasked with its protection until her 20th birthday. A fact unknown to Aurora until later.
    The Alien Adoption Agency only gave the women some information or else each woman was so involved with their various reasons for accepting this daunting task, they hardly listened close enough. Either way here she was embarking on an adventure of a lifetime, trying to again stay "under the radar". The other problem was feeling paralyzed by the swell of emotions toward the big brute. Chest ached, cheeks burned, and felt prickling behind her eyelids ( like she was about to cry). Not happening. Aurora didn't cry.
    Her mother once told her, " Love is a precipe. Don't fall off unless you're sure of your wings". Too bad she didn't take her own advice as she continuously fell, time n time again trying to provide for them. Aurora
    also lived by the motto, never give up never surrender. But when Kade runs afoul of the local law enforcement, will she save him or keep running?
    Kade an Invicta dragon warrior, is tasked to care n protect for an Imber baby until it's old enough to re-inhabit the planet of its birth , rich with minerals to sustain it. When he meets Aurora two things are certain. She's the mother of baby Lyra. She's also his destined mate. As the dragon inside rages beneath the surface to complete the mating bond. But Kade has learned to sometimes ignore the dragon and exudes perfect control while inwardly rejoicing along with the dragon. That control helped by Lyra as all the constant roiling emotions would be mind boggling. For now, content to celebrate in silence. After all things will unfold as they should.
    He's upset when Aurora interferes with a confrontation with law enforcement. But after hearing her arguments for the reason. "Their priorities" shift,( their meaning essentially the dragons ). Proud n noble he may be, but how can he protect if imprisoned. Faced with that truth, its now mate n whelp 1st, everything else secondary.
    I'm beginning to feel a little biased as who's the real star of these stories leaning towards the babies, then the women n lastly the Invicta warriors. (They're last because they can truly take care of themselves even with their naivety about certain things). Why the babies? Not because they r totally adorable, but because they seem to have an inner awareness of their surroundings n people .(I'm leaning towards physic or telepathic abilities). The babies "voice" themselves in several ways. By head butting, pulling hair, kicking , wagging their fingers, scowling, wailing, or baby talk at some of the oddest times . Absolutely adorable!!
    Wonder what's in store from the author as these stories progress?

    The author hasn't set the timelines properly.
    By the time Aurora needs to switch clothes with Luna her story does Not seem to have taken more than a few days to a week. Not nearly long enough since Luna's story was at least a week AND a half (at least 3 or 4 days and then about a week for Noxx and Luna to mate).
    And then also there is no mention of the rescued cave people being helped by the townsfolk or the fact that they would still be camped on the lake shore during the Sheriff's Cup contest.
    Other than not lining up with Luna's story's timeline this is a good read.

    When they find out the local law enforcement is collecting "fees" from the businesses both Kade and Aurora will do what is necessary to help their new home. Loved the little monkey/raccoon scene where they got into the house and ate the dry foods.

    I didn't think I could love the second story more than the first, but holy smokes, did I ever. Kade is totally different from Noxx. I mean, so often, second books are a letdown after the first, but Tasha Black is an exceptional writer & she does so without foul language & graphic sex. She writes with style in these books. I love them & I hope all of her books are this great.

I knew right away that I would. She and Kade were perfect for each other and I loved how their relationship just sort of unfolded like an old fashioned fan. The world building is imaginative and the characters are well thought out. There is action and sexy times and a lot of humor. The end of the book came too soon but there is still Tyro’s book to come and I can’t wait to read it.

    I loved this story. Tasha Black has another wonderful book which I have no doubt will become the latest Bestseller in her library. This new strange alien world obviously needs Tasha Black's characters in it. Aurora and Kade make a perfect couple and adoptive parents to baby Lyra. Aurora finds her new life brings happiness, although her old vigilante life has to come crashing back to her at the least favourable moment. When she has to run to avoid being arrested, she thinks about her new life, love and friends, and decides to give herself up to the Intergalactic police. Her honesty with the Ambassador earns her respect and a full pardon, along with a new job which is totally suited to her independent and strong personality, sheriff of the moon Clotho. A beautiful story with a perfect happy ever after ending.... or is it? No,it's actually the middle story of three, and I cant wait to read the final instalment of this trilogy. Most definitely recommended, and worthy of at least 5 stars. Book 3 pre-ordered, of course.
