    I LOVED this book. This quickly be some my favorite so far of the Theriot series, sliding past book #1 which I never expected. I liked what we got of Lancelot in the other books but this gave us a much better in-depth look at him and his monkey Tony. Julian I liked right away, and I fell in love with their banter that turned to heated passion. Their relationship moved quick but it was so believably written. I loved the suspense in this as well when dealing with the enemies, and look forward to how that will play out in future books. I have no complaints at all except wishing I had one more chapter but that’s only because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to this pairing yet.

I like that Lance doesn't handle things like Remy - he has his own way of doing things, and is unashamed of it. His strong desires for Julian - to keep Julian safe, to give Julian new experiences, to shower Julian with tokens of his affections - make him sweet and approachable. Tony shines in this installment. I love the way Julian adjusts his opinion of Tony as Julian gets to know him. Their relationship, an integral part of a bit of the story, is a bright star in this book. 4 stars

    I am really enjoying this series!  This is Lancelot's story and it was really good. He is immediately intrigued by Julian, the persnikety librarian that gets in his way of getting some information from the library that Remy has sent him to obtain.  Right from the start, I enjoyed their banter and Julian not putting up with Lance's demands. Unlike the previous books, this one was a little bit of a slower burn before they get together and I really liked that.  Once they do come together though they are explosive, Julian just craving Lance to take charge...so hot!

    We also get a lot of great page time with Remy, Henri, Corbin, Beau, and Dax from the previous books in the series and I loved that! This big, dangerous mafia family that love with their whole hearts. They all come together to help Lance ensure Julian's safety as they work through the latest challenge thrown at the family. This was a snarky, steamy, sweet book with a nice bit of action and an adorable monkey!

    I do like this series although the first is my favourite. There’s only one thing that’s really putting me off and distracting me and that’s the constant interruptions when characters are speaking. Everyone is doing it all the time. If people kept interrupting me as much I’d be practicing my Kung-fu!
