What an exceptional story! I normally do not read about Pirates but because of these two authors that are really good in their own genres, I wanted to take a chance. I am thrilled that I did because now I am hooked on this Pirates of Britannia Series. At first I didn't know how this would work because we have two great authors and they take turns writing a story in their new Pirate series. Eliza Knight writes about the Scottish Pirates and Kathryn Le Veque writes about the English Pirates, which form the alliance and Brotherhood of the Pirates of Britannia. The authors take turns writing the stories. The stories flow seamlessly which keeps the reader wanting to continue on to the next one. It is a great concept when you have two great authors that can make it work.

This is Book 2 in the series and it is Constantine le Brecque's story. He is the leader of his band of pirates. He also has quite a history. He is a former English Knight turned pirate, one who is very handsome, cunning and a rogue among women. Danger is always lurking.

Greggoria de Moyon appears literally on Constantine's doorstep. She has come to seek his assistance. She is a beautiful woman, one that Constantine might not able to resist.

There is action, passion and several laugh out loud moments that I thoroughly enjoyed. All of the secondary characters are great. And we get to know the characters that will be forthcoming with stories of their own.

I can't wait for the next stories in this new Pirate series.

Constantine le Brecque a pirate to his very core hated by the Earl of March due to his bastard royal blood loves the sea and his ship Gaia. For many months Constantine and his crew have been at sea and Constantine has promised time on land. When Constantine gets to land and Perran Castle his home a beautiful lady Gregoria “Gregg” Tenby Meyrick asks for his help. Gregoria supposedly is the daughter of an old friend and quartermaster of Constantine who was murdered. Gregg asks Constantine to take a holy relic to Three Crosses Abbey. Of course Gregg doesn’t tell Constantine the whole story where the Lord Wembury, Gregg’s brother and the Earl of March will be waiting for Constantine.
Okay I am impressed by this story by Ms. Kathryn Le Veque. Funny I say that because most of her stories usually astound me but this story is different. How can I say that because it is; they are pirates that are knights but remain pirates. Sure Ms. Le Veque can write a very intriguing medieval page-turner and even a very good contemporary but a pirate story well yes she can write those too. Ms. Le Veque has teamed up with another equally wonderful writer Ms. Eliza Knight to write the pirates of Britannia series so not only do we get English pirates but Scottish as well.
My first impression of Constantine did nothing to make me like him. Sure he definitely had a way with the ladies and pretty women were obviously his downfall. So this wasn’t helping me fall for him. He was way to handsome, arrogant, prideful, over-confident, boastful and brash. I really think he should have listened to his crew especially since no one seemed to trust Gregoria and maybe stop thinking with his man parts. Constantine did seem like a smart guy too I just didn’t trust him. Even when he took Gregoria’s innocence he seemed a little cold that I didn’t really feel the love between the two. I also didn’t like how Constantine treated her at times sure he shaped up in the end which was good but there was always that bit of apprehension will he treat her like a whore. Gregoria on the other hand was an okay heroine despite her willingness to play Constantine. I think in a sense I was happy that she was doing so because of how he was. So what made me like the story well of course the story is good, the brotherhood between not only Constantine his crew but Shaw MacDougall, Gregoria and the side characters just blew me away. I hate to say it but I am looking forward to the next one in the series and have a feeling that Ms. Le Veque does have a promising career as a pirate romance author too!

A thrilling, captivating, and passionate tale of a "Pirate Prince" and the lady who captures his heart!

LEADER OF TITANS is a fast-paced, heart pounding story you don't want to miss! Follow Constantine le Brecque and his band of brothers as they sail the high seas - Constantine is bold, brash, and fearless. I do not want to give too much of this story away, as you must read for yourself, to experience the magic, but by virtue of his birth, he represents a threat to certain people...and these people have masterminded a plot to take
Constantine down, once and for all.

A trap for our Hero has been laid, and the bait is the lovely Gregoria...Can she...will she... betray our Hero? Will Gregg follow her head, or her heart? Is she willing to lead Constantine to his doom? One of the best aspects of this story, for me, is watching the evolution of the romance between Constantine, and Gregg...It is spellbinding, and poignant!

If it's adventure you crave, if you dream of sailing the seas, if you wonder what it might be like to be aboard a pirate ship, then don't miss LEADER OF TITANS! And best of all, once again, we witness the miraculous healing power of love! Bravo, Kathryn Le Veque!

Constantine le Breque is the Commander of Poseidon's Legion, pirates all. He is also the bastard son of King Henry V. The current King of England's successor, Edward, the Earl of March, wants Con dead because he is a very real threat to his succession. Through intimidation and threats, Lady Gregoria, posing as the daughter of Con's murdered quartermaster, is persuaded to lure Con to Three Crosses Abbey where Edward's army will be waiting to ambush and kill Con.

I am not really a pirate gal, but I read the first book "Savage of the Sea" by Eliza Knight and enjoyed it. Ms. Knight wrote about Scottish pirates of the Lords of the Sea saga. Ms. Le Veque picks up with the English pirate side of these entertaining books. Things move along quite quickly in this book, but it was a satisfying story. I am looking forward to future books involved characters that were previously introduced in the first two books. Two talented authors writing about pirates for a change, while maintaining their specialties (Scots and English knights, respectively) was a bold move but a successful one. Very entertaining!

I really loved this book, it's different than the other books Kathryn's written. Because they're pirates they're cheeky and crude but they aren't the usual type of pirates, at least the leaders aren't. Such a great book and funny too, I prefer Kathryn's to Elizas, Kathryn just writes so perfectly that no one can compare.
