About the Author

Kat Faitour lives in West Bend, Wisconsin with her husband and two cats. She graduated with a B.A. in Economics from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and promptly decided to write romance. She also attended Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa where she studied cuisine, pastry, and wine. So, when not reading and writing, she can whip up a mean coq au vin. Or apple galette. Just don't expect both at the same time, because she's not that coordinated.

Kat Faitour is the author of romantic suspense stories with a dash of heat and loads of heart. Her characters are brave, daring, and adventurous, just like her!

Well…

Okay, nothing like her.

Kat lives in the upper Midwest of the United States with her stoic husband and two ridiculous cats. She’s never trained in Krav Maga, been a jewel thief, or flirted with an Interpol agent.

She is deathly afraid of bugs.

I loved this even more than the first book in the London Calling series! I really like the authors writing style-almost like I'm watching the movie in my head as I'm reading. Held my attention so much-I couldn't put it down until I was done. It's the prequel to A Matter of Trust but can easily be read in any order or alone. I was full of empathy for Angeline, what she struggled to protect and keep. Made me understand a bit what made Devon into the woman she is. Look forward to hearing more from Kat Faitour!

This book is number two in the serie that began with "A matter of trust" but it is the prequel to the events in the former volume. Usually, it is better to read the prequel first, but in this case I do not think so. "Losing Angeline" is not so entertaining as "A matter of trust"; in fact it is rather dark, and as it is shorter the characters are not so developed. The only person we really get to know in "Losing Angeline" is Angeline. However, having read "A matter of trust" we already have a good picture of John Sinclair, and his friend Patrick Martin, so it is no big deal if the books are read in the "right" order.
Apart from these remarks, I think this volume has some important messages, that make it well worth reading. The first is whether it is possible (for anyone) to get free from the past, and start a new life.(If you move to a new place and meet new people, they do not know anything else about your past besides what you tell them, right?) The other thing that struck me was the mismatch between John Sinclairs interpretation of Angelines moods and behaviour and the real reasons.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, but this is an improvement in Faitour's writing. She leaves little hints throughout the novella about what's going to be revealed, but you still don't know exactly. I'm not usually a fan of romance, but this story balances the romance with an interesting plot and lovable characters.

Losing Angeline is the prequel to Kat Faitour's novel, A Matter of Trust. But don't worry about reading order — while both books have overlapping characters, they can be enjoyed in any order.

This is Faitour's second book. In Losing Angeline, the writer tells a story of love, of trust and of fear. Of secrets long buried and a woman's desire to protect her child at all costs.

The book begins with the story of Angeline and John Sinclair, a gorgeous couple in Savannah. They live a gilded, elegant life with their young daughter, Devon. But Angeline has a secret, and it's a big one. The choices she makes in the book are difficult and heart-wrenching, and Faitour's prose well conveys Angeline's fear and despair.

It's also worth mentioning that this is also a sexy book, with some sensual love scenes. One of my favorite quotes is when John is kissing -- no, worshipping -- his wife: "As I love you, Ang. You're everything I never knew I could have."

Angelina had been running for a long time. After six years of happiness she thought her running was done until she was found by one of societies worst predators. In order to save her daughter she will sacrifice her life and happiness.

Very well written and interesting. I felt a little sad since the happy ending is hinted at in a coming volume, but not wrapped up in this one. Even feeling sad, though, means the storyand characters touched my emotions.

What can I say I'm a sucker for her books. I was going to try to space them out for when I needed a great book. I'm weak. Lol just finished book two and bought three right away. Back in I go. See you when I resurface. Try her first London calling book. You'll be hooked. I am.

I loved going back in time to learn more about Devon's parents. I can't wait to find out more!! Absolutely loved the book and will try to patiently wait for the next installment. Excellent job Ms. Faitour!
