Jude Ouvrard is a mom, a girlfriend, a sister, and a daughter... well, you get the idea.

She’s also an avid reader and writer. Ouvrard loves books—the words in them, and the worlds of fantasy they create. Basically, she’s a sucker for any type of romance book. That’s her thing.

Born and raised in a small village in the Canadian countryside, it’s been nearly two decades since she moved out of the family home to go explore and enjoy the city life. Living with her longtime boyfriend, their son, and their fur babies in Montreal, her days are labored away at a law firm while she lives her dream job by night. Writing. Creating. Giving shape and form to the characters who whisper their stories in her head.

Ouvrard writes new adult, military, and contemporary romance tales filled with drama, love, and everything in between.

Interesting. And written well. Dialogue flows naturally and all the characters come across as individuals. Gracie wins a lottery and leaves her job and her horrible boss. I would have liked to see the unusual and perhaps funny perils that all that money brings. Still, I stayed with every word which doesn't often happen.

This is a fun listen. Gracie and her best friend, had me laughing throughout this story. Gracie's boss was difficult, domineering and a perfectionist. When she had the surprise opportunity to quit, she did. When she went on a singles cruise, thats when things heated up for her. She met her match! This story had a few surprises.
Tia Johnson was great as a narrator. She brought this story to life. Giving all the emotions and voices to each character.. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.

The author has written a story with complex, realistic, and at times even funny characters. Gracie's friend, Penny, is funny and truly a best friend. I love the plot and character development in the story. Gracie works her rear off for her domineering boss because she needs the job. But when she gets a great deal of money, her job becomes a memory. I enjoyed how Gracie and Austin are reunited and their love develops. Personally, I would have loved more of their love story but there was enough to make it a wonderful story.

The narrator did a good job of portraying the emotions of these characters and bringing them to life. She is a good storyteller. However,at times her voice did have a hollow sound to it. I do recommend this Audible book. It really had me experiencing a multitude of emotions.

I enjoyed this story. Gracie--- is quirky, clumsy, snarky, and oh yeah, fricken rich...

Gracie needs to find herself, but honestly doesn't know where to start. She has a boss 'Pulley', aka Austin, aka. Oh yeah this is how she she's him, pushy, domineering, and bossy.

She parties hardy, constantly ruins her stockings, falls in her stilettos, let's face it she is a accident waiting to happen. Then one day all of a everything changes for her. Oh no she still ruins her silk stocking and falls in her stiletto's but it doesn't change the fact her; life changes. In a real big way!

A lot happens throughout the book, and any one piece I might spill the beans. lol

Needless to say this is a story about Gracie, and breaking free from her own life and being something better ... whatever that is. She'll figure it out.

I received this as a gift from the author, thank you Jude I enjoyed it laughed a couple of times especially on her cruise, and then felt her with her loss.

Do I recommend this story?? You bet.

I loved this story! The characters have a wonderful relationship with each other (Well all except for her boss). When that first kiss came?? Cue the tummy flutters..actually I think they arrived anytime they had scenes together after the accident. I really loved Austin. He became more human as the story progressed and I was pleased and surprised to see that happen to him.

This story was simply wonderful! The characters really had some growth to them.
I did listen to this on audio. Tia Johnson did a good job.

Loved it! I've reviewed this book for United Indie Book Blog. I'm a huge fan of Jude Ouvrard. I simple love her books. Thus did not disappoint me at all. I fall in love with Gracie and Pulley. Gracie is quirky, clumsy, and snarky. From Gracie point of view Pulley is pushy, domineering, and bossy. Oh did I mention he's also her boss. What could happen when you buy a lotto ticket? This is a MUST READ! I was drawn into the story. Keep up the amazing work Jude! Can't wait to read your next book.
