I loved this story, it is well written with some fabulous characters!

I loved the author’s writing style, she made the story genuine and one I really enjoyed. Everything about the book worked for me from the characters to the setting and the animals who popped up every now and again – I do love a book that has animals as main characters. The plot was great and it was a pleasure to read.

This is the sequel to The Purrfect Pet Sitter and after a few chapters reading this one I downloaded the previous book (which I hadn’t read before) so I didn’t get any spoilers and read them in order. I would say that this would read fine as a stand alone but I was enjoying the writing so much I wanted to read them I order.

It is five stars from me, a thoroughly enjoyable story, fantastic characters, both furry and human – I loved it – very highly recommended!!

I really enjoyed this light hearted story and can confirm that even if you haven’t read the previous book featuring best friends Lisa and Felicity or maybe aren’t a huge animal person it still works! There’s a good mixture of humour, romance and the ups and downs of family life all told in a lovely natural style that keeps you turning the pages and leaves you with a smile on your face.

As an avid crime fiction reader I chanced upon the first Lisa Blake book as a freebie and having read and enjoyed that I had to read the follow up.

I wasn’t disappointed - there were twists and genuinely touching moments. This is a must read.

This is the third Carol Thomas novel I've read and it felt like I was visiting old friends again. All of the characters are likeable, vulnerable, and very human. The storyline kept me guessing and I especially loved the YouTube references (you can learn almost ANYTHING on YouTube!), and the easy banter between Felicity and Lisa. My grandson's second name is Thor so that bit was hilarious to me! I also loved the ending and I hope there are further adventures for Lisa, Felicity and all their family and friends, furry and otherwise!

After reading the Purrfect Petsitter, I was looking forward to the sequel. With engaging characters, light romance, enduring friendships and lots of humorous animal shenanigans, I got straight back into the world of Lisa Blake and I couldn't wait to catch up with the next instalment of her life.

Newly re-discovered love, Nathan, is so adorable and every woman’s hero. But when Lisa discovers a half naked woman (who has not long taken a shower in his flat) you wonder what secrets lurk in his past, especially the way she winds her up about it. This is a story about coming clean and facing up to life’s ups and downs, past present and future. It has after all, been many years since their school days and even with the flush of a new romance on the horizon, how much do they really know about each other?

Best friend, Felicity, is back with an extra spring in her step and rekindling the flames of her own marriage. Four cute kids down the line and even she panics there could be a fifth on the way. Life can take unexpected turns… But it is the growing intimacy between Lisa and Nathan that nestles at the heart of this story. Humorous and warm, it celebrates everything joyous in life; from connecting with the person you’re meant to be with, to the anticipation of your future. Carol creates characters that are unforgettable, an engaging plot and a really uplifting story.

If you need a couple of hours to restore your faith in human nature, then this is the one for you. A light hearted glimpse into a world where friendship, romance and kindness reign. There are babies, pets, a holiday in France and the ups and downs of true love thrown into the equation, so everything to like. And the hero - hunky Nathan, should write a manual on how to woo the female species! Written with an easy style, I curled up and read this in one sitting. I have to admit I have not read the prequel yet, but Maybe Baby works perfectly well as a stand alone. I wasn't at all confused by the caste of interesting characters. I am going to read the prequel to find out more about Dom, the paramedic... I love the catchy title, by the way.
