Most Likely To Score: A Forbidden Workplace Standalone Sports Romance (The Dating Games Book 4) Kindle Edition
I’ve been daydreaming about the off-limits player for years, and resisting him just got harder...
As the team’s publicist, I desperately need a football player to be the face of our charity calendar. Turns out our one-time party boy receiver Jones Beckett needs a savvy PR woman to manage his new good guy rep.
Sounds like a simple give and take, even though I’ll be traveling around the country, snapping pictures of the sexy athlete holding rescue kittens and puppies. Still, I’m dedicated to my job, so I'll stick to my iron-clad rule -- don't date a player. And never ever fall for one. No matter how charming, big-hearted and devilishly clever the man is.
Once I start spending my off-season days and nights with Jones, I'm following a brand new playbook, one that has me falling hard for the incorrigible flirt -- heart, body and mind.
But my job is at stake, and I can’t afford to lose that as well as my heart.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseSweet, fun and sexy! I loved this story. Jillian was the PR manager for Jones football team. She has had a crush on Jones forever, but never let him know. She needed to stay professional. Jones on the other hand has also had a crush on Jillian. He had been try as hard as he could to get her attention. He thought she just wasn’t interested. When the idea came up for John to do a calendar with puppies and kittens in order to promote rescue, adoption Jones and Julian were thrown together for my length of time. When they had to take a trip from California to Miami, that is when they let their feelings be known for each other. They decided that for now they would keep it under wraps. As time went on, they realize it would be too hard to hide how they felt about each other. They no longer wanted to do that. They wanted to be honest with their jobs and their sponsors and let them know they were serious about being together forever.
Eventually, they keep clean to everybody that they were serious and this was it for them. It was a good story with good background. I loved their cultural differences and how they talked about them and shared them with each other. I would love to read the next story from this author.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseFlirting. I love to flirt. My husband will flirt with me sometimes, but he's not really very good at it. Lol. (Shhhh. Don't tell him I told you.) I love how Jones and Jillian flirt with one another...even before they share with each other how they feel about the other. There's a lot of great things to love about a good Flirting session. Jones and Jillian do it so very well.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2018Format: KindleVerified PurchaseLauren Blakely rarely - if ever - lets this reader down. Blindly I follow and find real delights in her colorful world of zany sports-related romances. Jones and Jillian stole the show and I loved them both equally.
Oh how sweet it is when there are animals involved! And Jones and his love for the furry little critters will forever keep him at the top of the list for book boyfriends. But just you wait -- he's so much more, too! He's the Full Monty!
This top-of-the-heap story gives "great-book" -- it has a lot to love and enjoy and drool over. First, there is Jillian's sweet story of adoption. She's Chinese and was adopted at 9 months old by an older American couple. Her mother has passed, but she shares a very special relationship with her dad. Jillian Moore is a delightful and extraordinary character. She's no shrinking violet. She was valedictorian and summa cum laude. And I assure you she offers a full complement of treasures to behold.
Jones Edward Andrew Beckett (don't ya just love that name?) makes all things better. He has lots more names, too. And they all give meaning and substance to the man himself. Not saying good or bad -- but you'll laugh! He's such a joy to get to know. Just when you think he's a little devil, he'll melt your heart to warm butter. Even at his baddest, he tries so hard to be a good boy!
He's one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and she's a Director of Publicity. Both are employed by the San Francisco Renegades. He's got a less-than-favorable past that needs rehabbing and she's pursuing a promotion to a Vice President position in the organization -- and NEVER THE TWO SHALL TWINE.
Readers will truly appreciate and be wowed by the cast of amazing secondary characters. From teammates to bros to agents and sponsors, parents and fur buddies and beyond, they all just fall into place so easily and up the wonders of Blakely's latest release.
Cletus is a mix of Chihuahua/Mini Pin/Dachshund -- and he's been spoiled a wee bit by his master. Cletus and Jones had me rolling in the floor with laughter, and I dearly adored listening to their one-sided conversations. The dog definitely had the upper hand. And soon the kitty will, too!
Expect hotness in every encounter -- forcing Jillian to abide strictly by her rule that commands, Don't ever look down whenever you're in sight of Jones. Oh my! The man packs heat. And his cover page images are what dreams are made of -- just think strategically placed footballs and nothing else!
Of course, the growing relationship between Jillian and Jones is a nightmare to maneuver. One wrong encounter with the media and it could be the end of them and their dreams. But it's fun to watch as they move from one encounter to the next and all the time falling harder and harder for each other. Nothing is gonna stop this runaway train.
Yep, another stupendous sports-related delight from Lauren Blakely. I've read two baseball-related romances already this year, but Blakely makes my favorite sport, football, win the prize yet again. Doesn't get any better than this trip to the stadium. SCORE for Jones and Jillian!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2018Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI appreciate the clever title to this book. I mean when you have an NFL wide receiver as the lead male in a story, it’s not too far fetched to be a fabulous title but it isn’t until the end that it becomes all too clear.
I am a fan of Jones. I loved how he flirted endlessly with Jillian. I loved how clever he was to try to get her attention when all she wanted to do was flirt right back but her anxiety and fear became all too consuming until she basically hid from him or flirted the bare minimum so as not to appear cold. At least that’s my opinion.
I am also a fan of Jillian. I love how close and connected she is to her Dad. Especially after losing her mom. I love how she knew exactly who she was and what she wanted as well as where she wanted her career to go and was never apologetic about it but just strong. She is a very strong person. I admired that about her.
I liked the two of them together. Even if it was only for a weekend but once you see the two of them together you’re automatically pulling for them! How could you not?
I appreciated Jones and his fears that took over for a bit. I loved how it took a good hard hit to knock some sense into him! Him with the team Dr was my favorite scene in the whole book.
Lauren never lets me down. Just love her stuff.

3.0 out of 5 stars Read The Romance Line published October 2, 2024 - It is the better book same plot
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe Romance Line has a similar plot and is better written. There isn't any reason to read Most Likely to Score published January 8, 2018 and The Romance Line published October 2, 2024. The Romance line is the better book. It has more depth than Most Likely to Score.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another amazing book!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI have really enjoyed reading this series of books. This story is the one between Jones the football star and Jillian the PR person. Will they ever recognize that they both have feelings for each other. Will they be able to make it work, considering they work together. A must read story!

5.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 "Oh My Jones!" stars
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseBook an appointment with your dentist, as Jillian and Jones' story is so darn sweet it will give you a toothache.
I have adored Ms Blakely's male POV stories, however it was nice to go back to dual POV for a little while.
Most Likely To Score is full of fun and flirty banter, laced with a huge dose of UST. Serious sexual tension that you can cut with a knife. **still fanning myself**
At times Jones kinda loses his man card with his amazingness, but he earns it all back - with extra (this could just be me though)
I love that Jones really likes to be at one with nature. Poor Jillian - I know I would never ever have her willpower!
What I really liked is that there is no drama for drama's sake. No OTT tragedy in their pasts (sure, they have their problems but who doesn't?) Nope, we are focused on our lovelies and them working towards a relationship when it all seems like it's a bad idea)
So hands off (I am talking about you Bianca!) I am taking this Jones as mine!
Can't wait to see what Ms Blakely brings us next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Charmoso, romântico e engraçado
