I knew from the first few pages of this story that I was going to love it. But I had no idea that it was going to totally captivate me and blow me away. It is a beautiful second chances story that encompasses so many feelings on all levels. At times you will laugh and at other times your eyes will tear up, your heart will break for Jace and Faith and what they have been through. But it will also mend in such a beautiful way that you won't want the story to end. It is a story about selflessness, regrets, love, loyalty, and growing up on the wrong side of the tracks. There is also a suspenseful aspect to the story as well that keeps you guessing right up until the very end. AL Jackson is a master at weaving words together that create so much emotion in one or two sentences, that I find I read some parts two times just so I can absorb the feeling because I am so captivated by the meaning of it and the emotion it creates in me. More Of You is a MUST READ for 2018! It deserves a 10 STAR rating!

    The story itself was good; it had me made smiling by the end. However, it wasn’t “hooking me” like A.L. Jackson’s other books. I didn’t necessarily NEED to find out what happens next, if that makes sense. That’s part of the reason it took me so long to finish; I wasn’t reading & reading/listening & listening to figure out the “mystery”. Hence, also why I gave it only 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rather than 5. The “twist” wasn’t really a big twist; I knew that Joseph, Faith’s (the MFC) ex was the “bad” guy from almost the start, so the “twist” didn’t really surprise me in the end. I knew that Jace (the MMC) & Joseph (Jace’s cousin, btw) both had a pretty bad home life, so it wasn’t that surprising that one of them would go down a “not-so-good” path under a “bad influence”. And the “3rd act breakup” was also COMPLETELY unnecessary, I felt like. I think it was just there to make the ending a little longer & more drawn out, honestly . . . 😒 Luckily, it didn’t last very long, so . . . All in all, like I said, the ending was pretty good (though not my favorite book of hers (the author)) & I DO look forward to continuing the series to see if they get better . . . ALTHOUGH I AM taking a little break from THIS series & starting her newest release, “Hold Me Until Morning” tomorrow BEFORE continuing on this one. I’ve heard really good things about her newest book so I wanna check that one out FIRST!! 😉

    More of You is the first book in A.L. Jackson’s new series Confessions of the Heart.
    The first book is Jace and Faith’s story it is a slow burn, second chance romance, with a single Mom, and one HOT hero.

    I could tell just from the prologue that is story had the potential to break my heart. We find out that Jace had left Faith when they were in high school and broke her heart.

    They met in high school she was the nice girl and he was the down and out poor kid the outcast in town. They first saw each other in high school when Jace is caught stealing food and denies he did it. Faith follows him and sees him giving the sandwiches to a younger boy who was crying. They just seemed to form a bond after that. That bond lead to more but Jace never thought that he was good enough for her.

    The real reason that Jace had left town was he took the fall for something that he didn’t do and ends up spending 3 years in jail. Upon getting out the first thing that he wants to do is see Faith until Ian tells him she is married to his cousin Joseph no less. Jace stays away and makes a life for himself until there is a murder and Jace goes back to make sure that Faith will stay safe.

    The way the author weaved the past and the present and all the lies and truths WOW. Just when I think I know what is going on I discover I don’t. The secrets that came out were so well hidden and revealed at precisely the right time to increase the impact to my heart. I was on the edge of my seat reading this story. Chapter 31 wow so well written felt like I was there and it just about did me in!!

    More of You had some heart stopping moments and I couldn’t stop flipping the pages on my kindle. It was jam-packed with mystery and suspense.

    The love they had shared had not died and it was still very steamy with some serious chemistry. It is a story about forgiveness, friendship, and family.

    There was some great secondary characters Jace’s brother Ian and best friend Mack who just happens to be on the police force, and Faith’s feisty best friend Courtney. But the best was Bailey Anne is the cutest little girl and Faith and Joseph’s daughter.

    This book was amazing from start to finish with no lulls. In the end all the pieces fit together beautifully with a fabulous epilogue. Can’t wait for this next story in this new series by AL Jackson. Wonder who’s story it will be??

    A.L. Jackson does it again with this beautifuly written story about Jace and Faith... so much feeling and emotional content page after page, it’s everything that we have come to expect from this fabulous author and you wonder how does she do it time after time but she does.
    As you get more and more involved with everything that is Jace and Faith you can’t help the need to want to know everything that has happened between Jace and Joseph, we get teased here and there and have a good idea what Joseph is all about but we need more.
    It’s not until we learn more about jace’s past that we start to get a bigger picture although it’s still not enough the feeling of being close but so far away is very apparent add to that the emotional element...it absolutely consumes you.
    When Jace is released from prison, he’s met by his brother Ian and this is when he finds out about Faith and Joseph and we learn that Faith never received his letters, this is when the full impact of Jace’s situation hits you full force and for Jace it’s crushing.
    From this moment on you can only hope that truth prevails, so much has happened and still happening and A.L.Jackson keeps us guessing all the way, I thought we’d lost Jace at one point and your emotions are put to the test in more ways than one... one of those times is the letters that Faith finally got to read, as if that isn’t enough when Jace reads the one from Joseph to him it is pretty heartbreaking and for a minute I felt sad for Joseph but it was always meant to be Jace, Faith and Bailey.

    Ive given the book 4 stars, and I loved it so much, that I’m just about to settle down in my favourite recliner, with a cup of hot milo, and begin the second book of the series, All of Me.
