About the author

Mystery.Intrigue.Romance
I write romantic adventure novels inspired by my love of history, particularly British.
I was born near Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood, but now live in Australia. From here I re-imagine the fascinating world of the Regency and the Victorians, perhaps inspired by early memories of ancient architecture, cold seas, and snow.
I also love learning Latin (yes really) and the philosophy of the Stoics, AMOR FATI, or LOVE OF FATE. So love and other catastrophes feature heavily in my stories.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe story was ok. I never understood why the h took the offer of marriage immediately. It didn't seem that pressing of a need to get her inheritance and the H was not only not happy about it but also just plain selfish and sell-absorbed about it all. I also never understood why she didn't ask about the ex-lover especially since normal feelings of jealously would have been hard to ignore. Plus you don't reintroduce an ex into the story later on with a clandestine meeting with the H without some drama developing. The threat was somewhat contrived and too easily resolved. And finally, there was never any real evidence of deepening emotions before it was just supposedly true that they loved each other and therefore would live HEA

3.0 out of 5 stars Quite Competent but
Format: KindleVerified Purchase..thin on enjoyment. The story relied on the plot (which was fairly predictable) rather than any emotional rapport between the couple. It was also thin on humour.
I suppose it was pretty mediocre.
