About the author

Where does one start with about what I do?
I’m a writer, but I’m sure you guessed that by now if you’re reading this, hey?
What you might not know is I’m a little quirky, live in my pj’s most of the time and have cake Saturdays with my sisters every week. I dedicate a little of my time to taking care of my grandbabies and on the dedicated writing days, I like to write an eclectic mix of romance, suspense and paranormal fantasy. In the main, I’ve written gay romance but I’m branching out under another the pen name in the future, so watch this space.
I’ve got a passion for books like you would not believe and it led me down this path and now I’ve over 29 books released and heading towards releasing a whole lot more. The way my head is I never know where I’ll be headed next. I hope you’ll find a little joy in my words and follow me to see where the journey takes me and you.
If you’re interested at some point in 2021 I’ll be writing under the name JP Paton which will be F/M crime and Fantasy two of my favourite things. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled

- Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2023I loved these stories! PLEASE say Cassius and Gideon both get their triads. Gideon needs mates as fabulous as he is.
The story flows effortlessly from JP's pen in this one. The characters are wonderful! Though I did need to look up how to pronounce Eliphas. ( I hate mispronounced names in my head ).
You dont have to read Only Skin Deep first, but i recommend it for character introduction and a bit of background.
Was so good, I'm sad it's finished.

I would like to address some stuff in other reviews.
Someone said that the men weren't attractive? Which I found odd. I read mm romance to get interesting male characters. Ty to the author for not going on and on about bulging muscles and rock hard abs.
Several people said they didnt like pierre. I liked him just fine. As good as anyone else.
Someone complained that 3 points of view were hard to follow. They were well written and not hard to follow at all.
Someone said it was hard to follow the side characters. There were maybe 10 side characters. And only 1 new one that i can think of from the first book. So it was NOT hard to keep track of everyone.
Now the reason i only gave 4 stars. The recaps from book 1 were REALLY bad. It was like someone else stuck a book report into the book. Good news, it was only about 3 pages worth. I feel like a good editor who read both books would have caught this. So make sure any future books all go to the same editor.
But the emotion and the story were very good. And that is the important part.

I had a harder time getting into this book. It just couldn't hold my attention the way book 1 did. It is a good read and can't wait for the next book.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2023At the beginning of this book I felt it was better than book one and almost felt like it should have taken place first. As the story progressed, my enjoyment waned. Eventually, I decided it has all the issues of book one and then some.
The majority of the books events take place concurrently with the events of book one. This is annoying because we never got the feeling that some big events were happening with this triad while reading about Luca, Ash, and Colby in book one. There was a lot of repetition at the beginning of the book because of the overlap.
This book also started out well, with a distinct storyline, but quickly became a jumble of characters and plot lines. And once again, nothing is resolved at the end of the book. We learn a little about Eliphas’ crystal magic, but not enough. And we really don’t learn anything about Raymond’s hunter abilities or much about the Council he works for.
Some other pet peeves are the names. I hate when authors use unusual names and give no indication how to pronounce them. Therefore, my brain stumbled every time I read the name Eliphas. At the beginning we’re told he’s called Eli, but the author refers to him as Eliphas throughout the book. We are also told that Raymond goes by Mondo and hates when people use his full name. Then the author refers to him as Raymond for the entire book - and everyone else does too!
Once again, everything is easily resolved with the ever changing magic that sometimes has rules and costs associated with it and sometimes not. It’s very convenient when the author can change on a whim what people can do with magic, how magic affects them, and how powerful they are.
Lastly, where’s the romance? People are together because they’re fated. Their couple interactions are supposed to show their connection. And yeah, there’s more there than a lot of other authors manage, but I don’t particularly find the characters to be attractive. Besides the fact that they’re all over 6 feet tall and some of them have beards/stubble we don’t get much else. There are more descriptions of Gideon compared to any of the witches and familiars. Pierre has red hair and RED EYES. What?! Is this attractive? And humans see this and don’t think it’s weird? I keep expecting more from the ends of these books and am left wanting.
I do want to learn more about Gideon and see him in a relationship and also Cassius. We know he’s part of a triad. But I’m leery of being bored and letdown again.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2023THIS IS A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!!! Fast paced, with no time to catch your breathe. Three truly beautiful men, fated mates travel a road of magical heartbreak. Eliphas is a powerful witch. Pierre is his familiar. Raymond is the human demon hunter. These three travel down a path forged by dark magic and deceit. I loved this relationship with all its nuances and intrigue. Love so deep that even magic couldn't hold it back. I don't know how JP SAYLE can even create a masterpiece like this. This Book just engulfed me!! I want a tattoo!! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars They now need a bigger bed
Pierre and Eliphas have been together thinking that their third fated mate Mondo is gone but in this book they figure out what actually happened. There are also many bigger situations going on around them and their relationship and that is really one of only two problems that I had with the book. There is so much overwhelming stuff going on that these three men don’t get much time together. However I did like all of the overall story. Maybe I just needed more about their dates and not just the well written private times. The second problem is the British words for things that occasionally come up even though it’s set in the US. The books do have a lot of other characters from the previous book which I really like. I don’t like it when an author writes a series with an overall story but you really only get one set of guys in each book. There is plenty here from JP Sayles to sink your reading teeth into as it were so enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great follow up story
The demon story continues but we see another side of it from Eli & Pierre’s view as they find out their third isn’t dead after all.
Like the previous book there’s lots of magic swirling around and the coven have to bend together to keep everyone safe. A great ensemble cast of witches, familiars and their humans. Look8mg forward to seeing how the story continues

4.0 out of 5 stars Magic, mystery, and demons
3.5/5 The overall plot of this novel carries on the series arc, so I definitely recommend reading the series in order.
I liked all three MCs in their own way, but between needing to do the three POVs and the paranormal plot, it felt like we lost out on the relationship. This feels like a weird thing to say given that the book 100% revolves around the relationship, but somehow it’s so much about getting the three literally together at the same time when everyone knows what the score is (and is conscious) that there is actually very little relationship *building*. I believe that the three of them care about one another and that what kept them apart caused grief and misery for all of them. I just wanted to actually see them date and get to know one another and fall in love.
I did enjoy delving further into the plot with the demons and the deepening mystery of what is going on. The demon magic in this book—and the cages—were very creepy! The crystals were intriguing, and it was nice to see the coven come together again. It’s definitely keeping me eager to read the future books in the series and get to the bottom of everything—and I want to see lots more fated mates!
I received an ARC from GRR. This is my honest review.
