Man Cuffed: A Romantic Comedy (Man Hands Book 4) Kindle Edition
A new stand-alone comedy from the USA Today bestselling duo!
Mac
A good cop can always spot trouble. That’s why my senses started pinging the moment I met the hottie next door. The neighborhood may never be the same. First she confuses me for a male stripper and tries to remove my uniform. (The guys on the force will never let me live that down.) And then there’s the breaking and entering.
I don’t know what to do with her. My libido has a few ideas of its own, though. Bad, bad ideas.
Meg
Hey, I it’s not my fault that Hot Cop’s nightstick gets excited every time we see each other. And I can’t help that someone broke into his apartment.
Fine—that last thing was totally my fault. And I intend to make amends. So when he needs a date for his sister’s wedding, I’m there. This is right up my alley. I’m an actor. By the time it’s over, his entire family will believe we’re a couple.
Even him.
Warning: may cause unrestrained giggling in public. Contains: a bridezilla with a turkey leg, a flash mob, and a growly hero.
Q&A about Man Cuffed!
Q: Is this really a stand-alone?
A: You bet your buns it is!
Q: Who is Meg, anyway? Have we met?
A: Meg is Sadie's flighty sister. You met her briefly in Boy Toy. She was fresh off a bad relationship with a lying liar who lied.
Q: And Mac?
A: You have not had the pleasure of Mac's growly company yet. But you will not be able to resist him.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2019Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are back! I’ve been waiting for this book for over a year now, and I couldn’t be happier than I am right now. They both have a knack for comedy and are really talented storytellers, and it shows not only in Man Cuffed, but also in the other three books they’ve written together.
Man Cuffed is the latest addition to the Man Hands series—the fourth book to be precise—but it is a complete standalone and can be read, and thoroughly enjoyed, without having to read any of the others first. Having said that, I would certainly recommend everyone to read Man Hands, Man Card, and Boy Toy because they’re all hilarious and truly wonderful.
Man Cuffed is the perfect combination of laugh-out-loud outrageous fun, sweetness, and steam. It’s my definition of a great romantic comedy. It’s hilarious! Not only are some of the situations extremely funny, you’ll find yourself enjoying the writing as well. It’s witty and filled with double entendres and exceptional one-liners. Also, both main characters are well developed and show growth throughout the story, and the supporting cast will charm you and leave you wanting for more stories to follow. I really hope they keep them coming.
Man Cuffed is the story of Mac Maguire and Meg Matthews. They both have had bad experiences with love in the past, but while Mac is determined to stay unattached and keep things casual, Meg is willing to put herself out there to find someone to share her life with. They end up being neighbors, and although they apparently want different things, they have amazing chemistry and are strongly attracted to each other. Once they get to know each other more, and start hanging out, lines blur and feelings get in the way, making things a lot more complicated.
This is a story of opposites attract mixed with friends to lovers, and a fake relationship thrown in. It’s laugh-out-loud funny at times, a little over the top, steamy and sweet. It also has a certain not-so-hidden depth to it— there are some underlying issues that are not usually addressed in romantic comedies that make it more complex that one originally expects.
I loved Man Cuffed from start to finish, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to laugh a lot, and enjoys well written stories with a compelling plot and lovable characters. Man Cuffed is seriously outstanding.

4.5 stars — I can’t tell you how many books I read where I get sucked right in, loving them, and then that enthrallment fades as the book goes on. In a weird twist of fate, this book was the EXACT OPPOSITE for me. I’m not sure if it’s because I started it while on a road trip, so I didn’t have dedicated time to read, but I wasn’t immediately sucked in. Which is not to say I wasn’t enjoying myself. I mean, my god, I think I almost woke up my husband trying to stifle my laughing in bed (that binoculars scene, OMG). But I think I was wary of Mac and Meg. I don’t even know why. I think because they’re just different from my usual faves.
BUT YOU GUYS…*BEEP*. I don’t even know where the turning point was for me…maybe their first steamy scene? Maybe earlier? All I know is that they both captured my heart and opened my eyes, and made me just feel so much. Which is a weird thing to say for a romantic comedy, but it’s true. I mean sure, the hilarious moments were HILARIOUS. And sure, the dirty talking was freaking HOT. But that’s not what changed this book from a 4 star to a 4.5 star for me. It was the heart. It was the hurt. It was the realism. It was people making mistakes, and holding on to grudges, and finally opening themselves up to the possibility of more. That’s the gold my friends. And I totally get that that makes no sense to anyone who hasn’t read the book, but whatever…it’s my review.
Meg was so much more than I was expecting after meeting her in Boy Toy. I loved seeing her struggle with what she wanted to do with her life, and trying to reevaluate her passion. I also loved seeing her get to this point in her life where she’s just not going to accept less anymore. I loved that she put herself out there, but that she wouldn’t let herself be walked on. I loved the way she saw the world, and how she brought this light to others lives as well.
And I was worried about how stubborn Mac was about not wanting a commitment, but when you find out where that stems from, I get it. It’s stupid, but I get it. I loved how passionate he was about his job, and wanting to help others. It was seriously admirable. And even though normally this drives me insane, I appreciated how long it took him to wake up and change…because you know what? Sometimes that’s how humans are. It makes the lessons and the change that much more satisfying.
The two of them together were just gold. Not just in steamy chemistry, but honestly in the way they seemed to bring out great things in one another. I LOVE banter. Like I love it. And these two just delighted me to no end. I think Meg helping Mac at the wedding had me grinning over and over again.
And you know what else was awesome about this book? The secondary characters. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me we’re getting AT LEAST books for Cassidy and Aubrey…and Lance. I need them all to have books. kthxbye. I could wax poetic about all of those friends and the things they bring to the story, but it wasn’t just them. It was Mac’s parents and sister too. It was a delightful cast.
So yeah. Such a weird reading experience. I love when characters surprise me…when a book surprises me. I mean, in a good way of course. 😛
- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2019Meg is sassy and semi dramatic, and right now she is working as a waitress while she waits for her next acting gig. Mac is a police officer, he’s guarded and doesn’t do relationships (for good reason). The first time these two meet, it is anything less than ordinary, but then they part. Who knew that Mac’s new neighbor would be the hot waitress he can’t seem to forget about? Hilarity ensues, and when Meg breaks into Mac’s apartment he figure she owes him. He needs a date to his sister’s wedding, a fake girlfriend to keep his family off his back. Meg after all is an actress, this should be cake for her! However as the two spend more time together, it gets harder to deny that there may actually be more than just friendship brewing between them.
The warning in the description about public giggling doesn’t even begin to describe the amount of times I laughed out loud while reading this book. Right from the start I was laughing and didn’t really stop. The great thing about this book, is that it isn’t all laughs either, there were heartbreaking moments and heartwarming moments, and also some pretty steamy moments as well. ‘Man Cuffed’ is a well-rounded book that hits on all emotions, and that is what makes this a 5 star read for me. I’ve read the previous 3 books in this series, and I honestly think that Mac is my favorite hero! This book can be read as a standalone and you won’t feel like you’ve missed out on anything which is great as well! Once you start this book, good luck putting it down once you start reading! Sarina and Tanya embody romantic comedy with this one, and you won’t be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Are there any more books in this series?
What am I going to read now? I loved this story. Some brilliant laugh out loud moments, some sad bits too but the characters were fun. I'm not sure what to make of Mac's friend Lance though. He's er ... unusual haha.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bookish Advisor review

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and lovable characters
Meg is one of the few female MCs I adore. She is really self-confident, funny and simply adorable. I would love to have her as a friend. Most MCs are advertised to be sassy and confident and are simply hysterical bimbos who melt into a puddle whenever the LI smiles at them and take all his crap as long as he is willing to sleep with them. Meg is different and I simply love her for being a strong woman. I love the story and I love the storyline. Reading it was fun and entertaining. The other characters were likeable, too. The only character I didn't get any connection to was Mac's mother. She was a bit flat and lifeless. Me as a mother would have fought for my twin sons to clear the air in all those ten years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny & cheeky read
The start was captivating and lol funny! Love that she thought he was a male stripper dressed in a fake cop uniform when they first met and tried to strip him! Some past drama resulted in Mac being emotionally closed off to a relationship. Meg’s light hearted and positive view, even with her own past romantic disappointments, was the yin to his yang. I loved how she chipped away at Mac. The ending dovetailed the introduction nicely and was a good conclusion to the story. Overall an enjoyable read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Delightful story.
I didn’t really warm to Meg in Boy Toy, but oh my word she is lovable, feisty and so positive! Grumpy officer Mac Maguire....is HAWT! I laughed so hard through this book.
Witty with wonderful characters.
