Rob founded Wildfire Marketing, a consulting practice that has attracted numerous New York Times bestselling authors, including Dr. Gary Chapman, DeVon Franklin, Lysa TerKeurst, Wanda Brunstetter, Dr. Harville Hendrix, and Dr. John Townsend. In addition, he's consulted with imprints of the world's best-known publishers, such as HarperCollins (Thomas Nelson, Zondervan), Hachette (FaithWords), Simon & Schuster (Howard Books) and numerous small to mid-sized publishers.

Rob's consulting expertise stems from starting out a successful multi-published author himself. In 2002, he self-published his first book and generated a consistent six-figure income, long before the rise of social media and Amazon. His book was later purchased by a traditional publisher, sold over 50,000 copies, and remained on bookstore shelves for 10 years.

His success attracted the attention of other authors who sought out Rob for marketing advice. This led him to found Wildfire Marketing in 2007 and provide marketing education to authors around the world. In addition, Rob partnered with Writer's Digest to publish "Sell Your Book Like Wildfire" and teach his popular online video courses, "Mastering Amazon for Authors" and "Sell Books on a Shoestring Budget." Rob's industry-leading instruction can now be found in "The Author's Guides" series, a collection of books that provides the most comprehensive instruction available on critical book marketing topics.

Rob has served as a contributing writer and educator for Book Business Magazine, Digital Book World, Writer's Digest, and Reedsy. His national media appearances include interviews on the CBS Early Show, CNN Radio, and the Los Angeles Times. His background includes a marketing degree from Auburn University and 10 years of corporate sales experience before working full-time in publishing. Rob resides with his wife, Ashley, near Atlanta, Georgia.

Both pages are tools for helping persuade "window browsers" into paying customers of the book. This includes using effective copy in the book description that resonates with the potential reader. Eagar's book: "Marketing Books on Amazon" organizes all the most important aspects of optimizing the Amazon Book Listing and Amazon Author Page in one place. If I had this book 12 years ago, I'd have saved time, money and stress from trying to figure all this out myself from the overwhelming amount of information that is available everywhere - like a fire hose! 5 Stars for an informative, well organized, simply laid out yet packed full of effective action items you can implement that will help in your marketing efforts with both your Amazon Book Listing and Amazon Author Page.

    I didn’t know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of good information to help with selling your book on Amazon. I enjoyed the easy reading style. As an author that will soon publish my first book that will be available on Amazon, I found the information timely and informative.

    I can see where this book is very useful for those who have a couple of books published. I’m new at this and working on lower content books for now but I see the potential success aided by the knowledge in this book.

    I read through this easy to read, yet detailed, book in two sittings. I bought it in paperback - I recommend doing so that way you can mark useful pages to return to (you will likely mark more pages than not). I could not be more pleased with my purchase.

    As someone who is beginning my writing journey, I have read a lot of books and listened to even more podcasts. Some information you'll find out there is really useful, but some is just outdated. I got burned that way on some e-courses I took that cleverly hid that they were written years ago. The book industry, namely Amazon have changed a LOT since then. So I found Rob's book here pretty refreshing with new information I hadn't run into yet as well as some I had, but it was good to have one succinct place to review everything I knew, everything I didn't know, and think upon as to what actionable steps I need to take next. I found the info in this book good enough to highlight and I even bookmarked some places which I never do, haha! I plan to read this book again in a few weeks as my first few pieces become ready for publishing.
    By the way, I received an advanced review copy, BUT I found the information so instructional and useful that I went ahead and bought the book to support Rob in hopes that he publishes more books. I have read three of his so far.

    I am very disappointed with this book. I was looking forward to learning how to setup Amazon campaigns trough this book but left me hanging. It’s more of an informative book than the how’s. It’s a lead magnet to the author’s high ticket item.

    Excellent book for authors new to publishing, either with KDP or a traditional book sold on Amazon. The book glides from beginner-level info to more advanced strategies, without leaving your understanding behind. I purchased the version updated in 2023, so recommend you buy new, not used (I only trust paperbacks, lol). You get a very strong sense that Eagar has been there and tried that, and is giving you the honest, straight scoop, including insider's secrets and little-known strategies for selling books on the big A.
