    MESS WITH ME is a stand alone read with a happy ending. It is a bit sexy if that is an issue for you - however with this hero I enjoyed his every thought!! Good lessons for us all. Look to see what is right in front of you and you may just find exactly what you are looking for.

    Ally in her mid-20s spends most of her time dreaming about her prince charming. However, he never really shows up for her. She finally realizes she is going to have to love herself before she can expect others to love her. She decides to marry herself and then do all the things she expects a male to do for her. Make her a priority, become her best self, etc. Once she makes herself a priority, her life begins to change.

    Ethan, 2 years older than Ally has a crush on her. The more he is around her the more she excites him. He wants forever with her but he has issues from childhood. On the outside he is the perfect guy but inside he harbors feelings of never having been loved, never really wanted, the bad kid in school with a big attitude. Ethan was in foster care for years and then wound up in a forever home with a foster mother. He had issues with no one ever wanting him enough to adopt him. Now he wants a family of his own and he wants to start with Ally. He is a big cop with attitude. He is definitely a love.

    I LOVED this story. It was so good. A great romance, a fun and witty adventure. It just sucks you in and you don't want to put it down. I loved all these characters - friends and family in more ways than one. It is a great read and I definitely recommend it. I especially LOVED Ethan. What a great guy. He was definitely my kind of guy. Great read.

    Another winner from Kylie Gilmore. I️ am a huge fan of the Happy Ending Book Club series. The characters are easy to relate too. You can’t help but love them all. This book has the same Kylie Gilmore humor but this time it is wrapped up in a little more emotion. This one had me crying in laughter and crying because of the heart-felt story line.

    Ethan was one of Eastman’s finest. He did his job well and in his spare time he would explore the great outdoors and hanging out with his honorary family. Despite being close to them, he had always longed for his own family. He had a stable foster mom and was an honorary brother and son of the Campbell clan but he still longed to have blood relations of his own.

    Ally was a woman holding onto a dream. Getting ready for her big college reunion. Her main goal get the one who she thought that got away back. But the sparks that she thought would fly turned out to be smoldering embers. Devastated she went into the less crowded men’s restroom to shed her tears of disappointment and shame only to be met with Ethan. Through his tough cop exterior lie a big soft heart. Especially for Ally.

    The ebb and flow of their relationship is what made this an entertaining read. The message that one has to first love themselves before they can truly love others was different and refreshing. I️ liked that they handled their battles on their own and in the end it was what made them stronger together and able to enter the relationship with an open heart.

    The h heads to her college reunion to meet her ex boyfriend. They had dated for four years before breaking up. She felt that he was the one that got away. She wants what her friends have —-a guy to settle down with and a family. She thought that this was their second chance after his heavy flirting via text before the reunion. She is devastated to learn that all the ex wanted was a quick roll in the sack. The H finds her crying in the men’s room. He is a cop. He is at the reunion with his female partner. He invites the h to join him and his partner for food and coffee and to cry on their shoulders. She accepts and winds spills everything about the scumbag ex and her wanting the HEA.

    The H finds himself interested in the quirky h. He invites her out but the h thinks that he has a girlfriend. He explains that she is his partner and that they are each other’s plus one. The H is also envious of his friends who had found their HEA. He wants the same thing that the h wants. The H has a difficult time expressing his love to the h. He manages to overcome that obstacle and win the h at the end for a HEA.

    It’s a pretty good funny read with interesting main characters. The characters spend a lot of time getting to know each other before jumping on each other’s bones. I like the supporting cast of friends. One nit is that maybe they spend a little too much time getting to know each other before getting together.

    A 3.5 star recommend.

    This is by far my favourite book in the series!!!! I loved this book and thought that Ally and Ethan were the perfect couple!! Both not looking for love but both finding it with each other!! Can they get past their doubts about love and see what is staring back at them?? Don't hesitate to grab this book, you will love it!! This book made me laugh so hard and also cry hard for the things that Ethan and Ally went through!! Can't wait to read the next book in this series!!
