Monsters (Kaliya Sahni Book 3) Kindle Edition
And for all of that, I only have a single lead that could unravel the mysteries of Raphael’s past. His mysteries, which are also the secrets of Mygi, a company very much willing to kill to keep those secrets.
All I can do is focus on one problem at a time, follow the threads, and connect the dots. I need to take the fight to them and I won’t be stopped. The threads are coming together, the pieces are falling into place. For him, I’m going to expose them as the monsters they are. I’m going to bring every secret into the light. For him, I’ll do anything, even though he doesn’t know what he really is to me.
I’m Kaliya Sahni, a Tribunal Executioner, a ruler of the nagas, and the secret mate of Raphael Alvarez.
And I kill monsters.

About the author

K.N. Banet loves to read books that make people cry. She likes to write books that make people cry (and she wants to hear about it). She’s a firm believer that nothing and no one in this world is perfect, and she enjoys exploring those imperfections—trying to make the characters seem real on the page and not just in her head.
She might just be crazy, though. Her characters think so, but this can’t be confirmed.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2021Kaliya has been searching for who killed her family and other naga families years ago, leaving her the only nagini (female naga) in the world (until now, but that’s not a big part of the book). In the interim, she saved and became lovers with Raphael, who we find out is cambion - part human, part demon. In this book, they continue their search to take down the big pharmaceutical company, Mygi, and free the other supernaturals held captive there. I won’t say anything more, but just as one chapter of this story ends - a new one begins as Kaliya finds out who killed her parents, and begins her search for another Indian supernatural...

- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2021A great novel in this wonderful series! The numerous kinds of supernaturals are extremely interesting as is the development of their governing structure and the politics between all of them. This made for great reading. The incredible level of detail about the supernaturals; their abilities and their relationships with each other, it's all very compelling. The main characters are outstanding, especially of course, the badass Nagini, deadly and smart. A true dark heroine, wild and unforgiving.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2023Rounding rules, again.
Con:
I found myself being more and more annoyed with Kaliya and how she handled her emotions. Anger is her favorite, and I’m still completely unable to figure out why I’m some instances. I understand the anger for Raphael and what was down to him and his people, but I found it hard to see why she snapped at EVERYONE for even breathing wrong. She needs therapy, that’s all.
Pros:
I love Sorcha. That’s all, that’s the sentence.
I finally see the point of Cassius being a part of the series (had a hard time with this in the first book, and he was practically nonexistent in the second book).
Finally we know what Raphael is and it’s cool as crap!
The storyline was absolutely amazing just like the other books.
All in all, a great read! I just really wish Kaliya was more likable even with all her anger. It’s possible and I’ve seen other authors do it.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2021Took me longer than I wanted to finish, but not because it wasn’t stellar writing, but more because I had been so busy and just couldn’t get a solid block of time in to read. But once I did, lord it was awesome!! I loved it, while it wraps up so many questions it also asks a million more. I’m so glad this isn’t done. I’m not ready for Kaliya’s story to be over. It’s so interesting and convoluted in all the best ways. I love trying to figure out all the twists and turns it will take and seeing if I’m even on the right track. Can’t wait for more!!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2021Hate to say it, but 'Monsters' is a heck of a good love story. Oh sure, you have all the supernatural goodness going on after all. Raphael remains a mystery as to what exactly he is, and there is no doubt what Kaliya is and has become; and that is a woman who is slowly falling in love with a monster even as she sees herself more and more as one. All in all, a very enjoyable book even if Kaliya is working hard to make things as difficult for herself as possible. Highly recommend the series. Going to be a long wait until June and the next book gets here...
- Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2021I like this series okay. Its good. I'm just very partial to the other series in this world. I love kaylani(the main character in this book tho) this book finished up on the main storyline from the first two and left us hanging on a new storyline that was actually teased in boon one and I like how the author leaves clues in her books. The characters have very good progress in this book although the ending ripped my heart out.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2022Well I don’t agree with her on some things but it’s always nice to see the drama play out.
I enjoy this series. I just love the expansion they put on the Jacky Leon world that I was introduced to and I enjoy seeing other characters in a different light. I liked seeing Hasan and the others who know Kaliya. I like the thing between her and Raphael. The small details always freak me out because you don’t know what’s what until it’s cleared up. The drama was something fun.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2021Another amazing story from an amazing author. I mean really.... Her books really put me through it and this book was no exception. Pretty sure I went through every emotion possible. I was excited, then mad, then feeling the love, and then heavily annoyed with kaliya’s life choices. I understand her choices but it doesn’t mean I have to like them.... and Raphael... my man.... just, I don’t know. I really hope the next book doesn’t continue to snap my heart into pieces.

5.0 out of 5 stars Devoured
Thank you for the latest instalment to the Naga tale. Our heroine finally finds out her mates origins and the story is compelling enough that I finished it in hours. Impossible to put down, consumed insatiably, and yet still managing to inspire all of the emotions. Well done kb. You are a superstar

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fast and at times tender
We see both Kaliya and Raphael growing and we have answers about Raphael and Mygi. I can't say I was happy with the ending, but don't want to give away spoilers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Raphael’s book!
The tribunal series is one of my favourite PNR world at the moment. Monsters is book 3 of Kaliya Sahni series and is mainly centered on the mystery around Raphael - finally!!
Brilliant plot development, loved the Mygi storyline and boy was the action here! A little bit frustrated on the romance side of things, as Kaliya isn’t really opening up, pushing and pulling away, and still hiding away who Raphael really is to her. This is the only reason why I did not give 5 stars.
WARNING: This book ends on a huge cliffhanger!!
