Moore the Merrier: In Praise of Older Women Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 87 ratings

After eight years of IVF I'm finally about to become the mother I always dreamed of being.

Then I get a call that changes everything ... There was a mix-up at the lab. Instead of using my ex-husband's donation, they used my
new, sexy, much-younger-than-me boss.

How am I supposed to tell him that even though we've never slept together I'm pregnant with his baby?

And that I'm hopelessly in love with him.

Wish me luck.

Owen and Carolinas story was absolutely adorable!!!!! I’m not one for secrets but I can’t say I didn’t blame her for having a hard time telling him about the mix up especially with what she went through with her ex!!!!

Moore the Merrier is part of the multi-author series In Praise of Older Women. After years of trying to get pregnant Carolina and her husband end up getting divorced. Carolina decides to try one more IVF session and this time it was successful but there was one problem. The clinic made a mistake and her boss Owen is the father, not her ex-husband. This story had a unique storyline with likable characters and some crazy emotional twists and a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Carolina is a divorcee who recently moved to town. She gets a job with Owen and is very attracted to him. While working for him she finds her last round of IVF “took” and she is pregnant but that due to a mix up at the fertility clinic her baby is actually Owens.

This is Ms. Marcus’s second book I have read – the other was Masked Intention. When I picked it up, I didn’t realize that the h in this and the one in Masked Intentions were sisters. A nice surprise. This was again an extremely short book – about 50 pages and yet again I have mixed feelings about this one – but for different reasons. I liked the premise as unbelievable as it is. Ms. Marcus is a good author. However, like before, I was left wanting. I have corresponded with Ms. Marcus, and I recognize its the word counts she is allowed, but I feel that really detracts from her writing. She has interesting plots and writes well but due to the word count the story isn’t what it could be. In this one, I didn’t get any background on the characters – in fact the blurb gave me more background than the book and so I just wasn’t as invested in them. The story was nice, but I didn’t feel the chemistry as much. I thought it was medium steamy. It was a sweet book. It was nice to get an epilogue with the whole gang. What I really want is an expanded version of these stories with more in-depth character and plot development. I think there is great potential. Here’s hoping.

Moore the Merrier is a great surprise story with a fun and unique story that take you on an amazing ride. I love the twist this story throws at you.

After years of trying with her husband, they split. Carolina tried one more time and was surprised to find she was expecting, she was even more surprised when the clinic called and said there was a mistake.

Owen is Carolina's new boss and is taken with her from the moment she walks in. He always wanted kids, so when she as to come along to the doctor's he is ecstatic, but when the truth of the switch comes to light Owen is not sure.

Great read from start to finish. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved every moment of this book from start to finish. The characters were beautiful and their story was terrific. Owen and Caroline are a match made in IVF heaven. As her new boss, she already has to fight the attraction she feels for him. Then when she finds out he’s actually the father of her unborn baby and not her ex husband while also finding out Owen has feelings for her, it made for very conflicting emotions. I loved Owen every step of the way in this book. The way he takes care of Carolina and is fully ready to take on a pregnancy that isn’t his, will melt your heart and cause serious swooning. I also really loved how this book handled the extra emotions that come along with carrying multiples on top of her previous miscarriages. As a mother of twins, the anxiety and fear during the duration of pregnancy and into their birth is very real. I adored this book and highly recommend reading it.

I really love Carolina. She has been knocked down many times but manages to get back up and when hit with the baby mistake, she wobbles but keeps standing. I love the connection to her sister Arizona and to her story with Malcolm. I love Owen. He is so steadfast and so true. He has a bit of anger but I do not think he ever had doubt. Their story is sweet and cute and emotional and sexy. I wanted more epilogue but love what we got. I need to look for Georgia's book. Great family. A very enjoyable short read. . Carolina started working for Owen's construction company, helping modernizing the office. She and her husband divorced after years of unsuccessful fertility. She is attracted to her boss, but he is way too young for her. She finds out that she is pregnant from the fertilized eggs with her ex-husband but when the clinic calls she finds out there is was a mix-up and Owen is actually the father. What will he say when he finds out?

This was an enjoyable read, Owen for a younger man is more grown up than most. He can help her let loose. Carolina is sister to Arizona (Masked Intentions) and Dakota (Morning Glory).

The author has given us a wonderful older woman/younger man story that pulls us into the lives of Carolina and Owen and does not let go. They have a connection, but will her secrets tear them apart? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
