My Sister's Boyfriend Kindle Edition

4.0 out of 5 stars 714 ratings

EVERETT:

My sister’s boyfriend has a twin, and he has me seeing double.

When I show up to dinner with my sister, her boyfriend, and his twin brother Will, I find myself wanting what I can’t have. Will’s just as hot as he was back in high school, but we’re coworkers at a startup now—I have to keep it professional.

The problem? He’s only gotten better with age, and he’s giving me his undivided attention. He says he’s straight, but our straight siblings are playing matchmaker. Now Will and I are sharing a twin bed, and my crush is getting bigger.

My sister and I couldn’t be more different, but our boyfriends are identical.

WILL:

My brother and I might look alike, but Everett has no trouble telling us apart.

A lot has changed since high school, especially Everett. He’s not the nerdy guy I remember. He’s a skilled engineer I can’t help but admire, and now I’m the one with a crush. Our chemistry isn’t engineered, and when it boils over, it’s going to sizzle.

He’s the first man I’ve ever looked at this way, but that’s not stopping me. He thinks we’re worlds apart, but he forgets how determined a former linebacker can be. I’m taking a chance on Everett—he just needs to meet me halfway.

I guess you could say my twin and I have similar tastes.

Note to readers: This is an extra spicy standalone MM romance, heat level 10. Readers can expect several steamy scenes that will leave you gasping.

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! IMO this book is the best or if not that rates with the very best stuff that the author has written, and over the last few years I have read quite a bit of his work! What can I say... this book sucked my in from the very first chapter and never let me go till the last page. Everett and Will are so very well developed with such detail that they feel totally real to me, like I could meet them at a coffee shop or somewhere. Everett is my favorite, though only by a hair, because he was so perfect in his imperfections. What can I say about Will except his patience, loyalty and always being there for Everett, yet giving him space when Everett needed that brought me to tears a few times. The pacing of this story while fast, nonetheless was perfection. The second couple of the Awesome Four (Becky & Gage) were perfectly placed... just enough for what was needed, yet not overshadowing the MCs in the slightest. This book was sexy has heck, beautifully written, warm and cuddly as a puppy! Such feel good, unadulterated fun and heat it I am sure I will be reading it again soon!
I received a free ARC copy of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.

I found ‘My Sister’s Boyfriend’ to be a very enjoyable romance novel. If the average book in this genre is three stars, this one is a cut above, with an interesting storyline. Collins wrote using dual perspective first person, and it worked well here. The characters were likable and conflict was kept to a minimum.

I’m not quite sure how the title related to the book, except very generally. Anyway, I think most readers of this genre will enjoy ‘My Sister’s Boyfriend’.

I loved Everett and Will (and Becky!) from the very beginning, and Everett and Becky's sibling relationship was perfect.

The chemistry between Will and Everett was great from the start, and I loved that none of the drama from either of them was about Will's newly minted attraction to a man. E's insecurity was relatable and portrayed in a realistic way--he's an adult who was bullied, he's hindered but not debilitated by those experiences, and I appreciated that it wasn't a case of "hot guy cured my emotional problems with sex magic".

There were a few things that threw me a bit: the use of the word "trunk" in reference to male anatomy tripped me up several times, and the detailed descriptions of clothes seemed unnecessary (though I know that's totally a personal preference thing). Also, I really wish that "giggling" was used less in favor of other sorts of laughter, as that really did bother me/seem out of character or context in some places.

Obviously though, none of those things were bothersome enough to keep me from enjoying the story, and certainly not from reading more from this author.

Woo hoo! I loved Will and Everett. These guys are sweet, funny and, oh my gosh, is Will a patient man. I'm just glad Everett worked through his issues with the help of his sister. I liked their easy rapport as they began their relationship. The way they laughed, talked, joked and cared for one another made them feel like a long established couple. When Everett took the higher moral ground with his bully, I cheered for him.

I really enjoyed the book! There was a lot of cheesy romance, only a couple of times I thought were too much, and very detailed romance scenes but not so graphic that I couldn't get through it. I just wish the book had a little more conflict. The first mild conflict is in the last couple of chapters. Still, glad I read it. Would recommend.

A fun loving story from start to finish.
What would you do if your high school crush was back in town and started flirting with you? To top things off, him being gay was never on your radar. What would you do if you had your very first crush on a guy? Go big or go home!
This book had me giggling and cheering these two on. Beautiful book.

I wanted to like this book but I never got there. The title of the book has nothing to do with the story. I don’t know what they were thinking when they chose it. The main characters were not very interesting. I doubt I would be friends with either of them in real life. Will was Mr. Perfect - too good to be true with no flaws. His “I’m so Great, Life is so good” attitude read as arrogant to me. Everett was fragile and anxious, until all of a sudden he was acting all confident. The worst part is the author would build to these big moments (meeting mom, the reunion, Will’s plan to get even with John) that never delivered. Even the ending struck me as a lukewarm sendoff to their happily ever after.

I really enjoyed this story and the way Jason wrote it . Now if my sister and I could find a set of twins, oh wait her and I don’t have the same taste in men.

This was an easy and sweet romance with minimal drama. All of the issues were from the anxiety that one of the two men had about the relationship, along the lines of not being good enough, but together the two men worked through it in some very sweet ways!

Everett was a nerd in school which he channeled into becoming a business owner in tech security. Gay and a nerd high school wasn't great for him, but his crush on football player Will has come back to haunt him as his sister now dates Will's identical twin. When Will comes back to town to work with his brother Everett finds his crush back in full force and is surprised and confused to find that Will shares it.

Will has never been with men but he isn't deterred. Attraction is attraction as far as he is concerned, and Will is attracted to Everett. They click well and get along as friends, so Will has no problem pursuing more. When Everett's anxiety comes out to play in the situation, Will takes the time to make him feel comfortable and to work through his concerns. From sweet dates to a local fair to working to boost his confidence, Will works with Everett to show that they can really have something together.

This was sweet and strait forward, which is nice for an easy standalone romance. The characters work through their drama in very reasonable ways and the little adult twist to what could have been cheap revenge was a satisfying and impressive turn of events. An easy and enjoyable read.

I quite enjoyed Everett and Will story, though I would have preferred a little bit more of conflict in their built up relationship. The characters are very well defined and relatable, my favourite (as an ex bullied myself) being obviously Will. I didn’t mind the love scenes being not too graphic, though a bit more of steam would have been nice! Very nice read... but not Jason’s best!
