5.0 out of 5 stars Captivating with characters you want to return to.

A book to languish. A fiction that raises awareness of animals and is set in the seranno mountains. The author has conjured up an exciting world of animal characters, bear hug friendship, feasting and adventure, with a looming villain. You feel inside this world with beautifully described and captivating scenes... If you have the opportunity I would recommend reading it out loud as this is a book for both adults and children. One of a series to immerse yourself in and perhaps one day a film? Big thanks to the author.

This amazing book is a real page-turner. I couldn't put it down. It is a full-on adventure in a fantasy adventure of talking animals.
It is a heroic journey for various different animals who experience both pleasant and unpleasant times as the exciting story unfolds.
The most important thing that I have taken away from reading this book is no matter how hard the journey appears, you should never give up.
I think this book is suitable for both young teenagers and adults.
I’m now really looking forward to reading The One-Eyed Beast, book 2 in the Montevivo saga.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Magical Book with an Environmental Message

Montevivo is a magical world, full of wonderful animal characters, rich landscapes, and a storyline that weaves you into its spell. Someone should make an animated film of this story - a Watership Down for the 21st Century!

This book was recommended to me and I really enjoyed reading it. An excellent read for both young and old, with a very topical environmental message! I am very much looking forward to reading the next in the series!!

A great read for fans of fiction with animal protagonists and an environmental message. There’s a horrible villain that makes the book really exciting.
