I swallowed. Every time he said my name, the spit in my mouth seemed to thicken. "Okay." I agreed. My shoulders straightened and I held up my hand to count the rules as I went. "One: do not be late. It's rude. If you're late again, I won't wait."
His lips twitched, which brought me to the next rule. "Two: Don't bother trying to charm me into doing your work for you. I won't."
He pressed a hand to his chest like he was offended. "You think so low of me." He gasped.
I rolled my eyes. "Three: No girls during tutoring. No disappearing."
"But you're a girl," he said, sitting forward swiftly and tucking a bunch of hair behind my ear. The back of my neck broke out in goose bumps and they scattered down my spine, and my toes curled in the Converse I was wearing.
"Rule four," I said, ignoring the funny way he made me feel. "No charm at all."
"I can't help it, Rimmie." His intensely azure eyes roamed over my face like he was looking at me for the first time. "It's so easy to make you blush."
I hit away his hand. "Rule five: Do not call me Rimmie." Ugh, he was irritating!
He chuckled and sat back. "Fine. Now, can we get to work?" he asked, pointing at his paper.
"No," I snapped. "Tutoring is over for today."
"But what about this assignment?" he whined.
"Here's a thought," I said as I snatched my bag and stood. "Sit here and do it."
I started to stalk away, nearly tripping over my half-untied shoelace.
He laughed beneath his breath, and I thought about kicking him.
"Rimmel," he said. I stopped and turned. "See you day after tomorrow."
I rushed outside into the cold autumn air and dragged in great gulps of the crisp atmosphere. He was absolutely infuriating! Full of himself. Arrogant. Far too pretty.
He was terrible!
This was going to be torture!
So then why was I already anticipating our next study session?

Cambria Hebert is a bestselling novelist of more than fifty titles. She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major, and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair.

Besides writing, Cambria loves a pumpkin spice latte, staying up late, sleeping in, and watching K drama until her eyes won’t stay open. i read this book when it came out. I've never really heard an audio book before so I just popped my proverbial cherry. I never thought id like audio books. Hey why listen when i can read them? This turned out surprisingly awesome. I listened to it to & from work. I laugh, like a lot. Especially the hot scenes. I'm like OMGEE! That guy just said that. Or she just did that. Hearing it in my head is very different than listening to two different voices. I love Romeo & Rimmels story. Not good to have kids with you while you listen to it of course but listening to to on my way to work was pretty cool. Just ordered #Hater! In audio cd! I can't wait to get it!

    Where has #Nerd been all my life?! It’s everything I didn’t know I needed in a college romance. Sure, it has the classic “hot jock meets nerd” vibe, but Romeo and Rimmel’s story takes it to a whole new level. These two are so easy to root for—watching them fall for each other is like watching magic unfold. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the way they balance each other out is simply perfect.

    But it’s not just about their romance; #Nerd is packed with college drama, friendship, and all the ups and downs of finding yourself in a new chapter of life. I honestly didn’t realize this was part of a series when I started, but now I’m so glad it is. There’s so much more to explore with Romeo, Rimmel, and the characters around them. The side plots are loaded with potential for future books, and I can already tell this series is going to be a blast to binge.

    If you’re in the mood for a feel-good, swoon-worthy read with lovable characters and plenty of twists, #Nerd is a must-read.

    I’ve had this book on my kindle for years but never read it because it was my understanding that it ended in a cliffhanger, and I really do try to avoid them when I can. However, when a book buddy tagged me in a Facebook group discussion of this book, I learned it wasn’t a cliffie. I was told it was a happy for now, so I jumped in.

    I absolutely love nerdy, clumsy heroines and fiercely protective heroes. Rimmel and Roman fit those desires to a T. One of the things about Rimmel that set her apart from previous heroines of this nature was the fact that there was an underlying reason why she was the way she was. All the little clues that led to that revelation had me anxious to get it all. My heart belonged to her even before I had her backstory but learning it all made me hurt for her even as I cheered her onwards.

    Romeo was not my favorite hero...in the beginning. His actions and activities were not the perfect hero after meeting the heroine and I was, and I’m still, disappointed by that. However, once he turned his full attention to Rimmel, he was pretty much all hers. He also shows some amazing moments of possessiveness that had me grinning because that’s like catnip to me.

    While this was reported to end in a happy for now, it ends in such a way that the reader is more than satisfied. Yes, it does lack that epilogue that puts a bow on the story, but if I didn’t want to continue on with the next book, I could easily do so. All those years of ignoring this book was wasted because of this misunderstanding. Authors really need to #standalone their blurbs.

    This book was is the first in the hastag series, a modern day fairy tale, and college romance at its finest. This book surpassed every single one of my expectations, it had some drama, secrets, it was funny, hot, sweet, and all around phenomenal. My heart broke for Rimmel and her self confidence issues, but I loved that these characters were so down to earth that they were easily relatable!

    Roman, Rome, Romeo is your college football star, Mr. Popular, and has the ladies fawning all over him. He's got it all, a killer body, a smile that makes the ladies drop 'em, and his families loaded. He's not looking for a girlfriend, he's playing the field, focusing on football, and pledging the most prestigious fraternity at Alpha U. He is headed for the NFL and nothings going to get in his way. But when he's pulled into the Coach's office and told he has to meet with a tutor three times a week, everything changes.

    Rimmel is most definitely not Romans "type". She doesn't fall at his feet, she tells him exactly what she thinks, and she would rather spend her time with animals than people. Rimmel's shy, scared, socially awkward. She hides behind baggy clothes and messy hair and that's the way she likes it. At a young age Rimmel experienced something things that traumatized her and lead her to believe that people always leave which is why she tends to shy away from developing relationships with anyone. I absolutely adored Rimmel and as the story unfolds and she comes out of her shell everyone realizes what a "bombshell" this "nerd" is!!

    "It was hard not to be affected by him . Especially when that smile was directed at you and so were his incredibly clear blue eyes. Suddenly, I understood why so many girls fell at his feet. He had an uncanny ability to make whoever he was focused on his entire universe."

    These two are complete opposites, a terrible match, a very unlikely pair. But the undeniable pull they both feel to each other, their chemistry, the connection they have can't be denied.

    Their whole relationship started with a tutoring session and an initiation requirement ... but when Romeo really gets to know Rimmel he can't get enough of her. But there are people, forces beyond Romeos control, who will stop at nothing to bring him down and Rimmel just happens to be in the crossfire.

    This was my first book by Cambria Hebert and not gonna be the last. Definitely gonna read the others in the coming time.
    I loved how predictable the book was yet so unpredictable. It was so good!!! The aspects you'd generally find in a bet trope was all there but different, totally unexpected ones.
    This was such a good book, it's good for a light read and was exactly what I wanted after the series of books I've read over the past few months. It was joyful, sweet, heartwarming read.

    Cette série m'a attrapée par le bout du cœur dés le premier tome et ne m'a plus lâchée ! J'ai craquée pour les héros et leurs amis et suivi leurs aventures de livres en livres avec un plaisir croissant.
