Ms. Bohart kills people for fun and profit (on paper, that is).

She holds a master's degree in theater (directing) and has taught both acting and directing. She has been published in “Woman's World” and "Dead on Demand", an anthology of ghost stories that was on the Library Journal Bestsellers List. She also wrote for the Renton Reporter and has taught writing classes through Kent Parks & Recreation and currently through Green River College.

As an avid dog lover and canine rescue advocate, she weaves dogs into all her novels. In fact, they play major roles. "I want the dogs to be realistic, though," she says. "I don't like books that make animals seem like cartoon figures."

Ms. Bohart now has ten paranormal mystery novels on Amazon, along with two short story books, and two nonfiction books. Her most popular series is the Old Maids of Mercer Island. The first book in that series, "Inn Keeping With Murder" remained on Amazon's top ghost story list for over ten months.

She recently launched the NO ALIBI ZONE on her website as a resource for both mystery writers and mystery fans. The No Alibi Zone takes a deep dive into how homicides are investigated. Through her newsletter “Let’s Talk About Murder,” she interviews police officers, mystery writers, forensic technicians, and others who work in the field of murder investigations. She also writes the MURDER BRIEF, which are blog posts on topics like the serial killer gene, the Body Farm, whether eyewitness testimony is reliable, and more.

The only negative issue I have with these books is that they cause me to lose sleep because I can’t put them down! I love the mystery, the characters & the settings. Just finished this one & I will be starting the next one NOW!

As usual, the old maids of Mercer Island continue to delight with murder and mayhem. More so if you’re from the Pacific Northwest.

The series: As a series, the setting, the characters, and the author’s writing are all very good. I like how the characters interact with each other. I love Aria’s special expertise. I love the roles the animals (and ghosts) play. Some of the books have been rollicking fun.

This book: I generally enjoyed this particular book. On the plus side, I was delighted to read a story that featured my favorite chocolates in the whole world, See’s. On the minus side, I wasn’t enthralled with the premise — an Indiana Jones redux about two professors trying to find a secret key to a secret box to find more secrets. Nonetheless, all the great characters were there plus one blast from the past. I found aspects of the story irritating which perhaps lessened the thrill of the story for me. The main character, Julia, had a tendency to want to burst into tears way too many times. C’mon🙄. Then, there was the boyfriend, not a boyfriend, another boyfriend triangle.

This was a clean, light story. There were a few inconsequential typos. I wasn’t even looking for them; Chloe threw them into my eyes.

This i think will be my favourite of her series.. Lynns ability to draw you further into the story so that you dred the ending while anxious to get to the climax of who dunit! My minds eye visualizes each character and their special skills right down to the resident ghosts. As for Ms. Applegate..i see her as a blond with a brilliant smile, like a young teen lifeguard i used to fear who could snap at any moment behind five and dime sunglasses and a wicked whistle plotting your inevitable drowning only to become distracted, catching her bright red suit on the chair, flinging herself out over the pool with an agonizing tear of nylon and plunging into the cyrstal waters. We await the next plot.

This is a delightful series about four (older) best friends who keep stumbling into murders. The character development is great and gives the feeling that you know them personally. And you'll run into a few GHOSTS along the way. This is a fun series, as the "girls" go from solving one mystery after another. I have enjoyed every minute of reading it and am sorry to see it end. I highly recommend reading all 5 books in the series.

I admit I have waited for this latest chapter in this series. It has exceeded all expectations. Lynn utilizes her unique band of characters to full measure in an historical and furious murder investigation. Her novels are a delightful read for any fan of fiction Thank you Lynn! Get to work I want to read about Julia and her gang again soon. I look as forward to these stories as I do for Patterson, Silva, Baldacci, Greaney and Child. Yes, Lynn is in that league of champions.

This was an excellent read! It was fast-paced, humorous, and I had trouble putting it down. The characters felt fully fleshed out and complete, even the less familiar characters that played larger roles in this book than in previous ones. If you don't mind a sprinkle of paranormal activity and swearing (not excessively so, just adds to the realness of the characters and drama), this is a fantastic cozy and I highly recommend the whole series!

Another wild ride for the Old Maids of Mercer Island! Daring, intrigue, mystery and an interesting take on a centuries old crime. Lynn has done a wonderful job in weaving a story that will make you question what you know, what you think you know, and how did I miss that?! Thank Lynn for sharing another adventure of the OMoMI.
