OPS is a spin-off of the Reed Security series and picks up from book one, Sinner. Some storylines do overlap, but you do not need to read Reed Security to understand this series.

Cash Owens—owner of Owens Protective Services, former sniper in the military, and a man just a little too in love with his rifle Sally.


Owning a business hasn’t adjusted him to civilian life any more than the next Marine. He surrounds himself with men who are just as ready to throw down as he is, from his resident show tune-loving, knife-wielding psychopath to the man with better organizational skills than any office supply store to his EOD expert with a penchant for blowing things up.

But when a terrorist threat lands the team in a bit of hot water, it’ll take more than their great personalities and unique skill sets to get them out of the mess they find themselves in.

There’s just one problem: A certain lady has caught the eye of their fearless leader and she’s right at the center of all the drama. Is she working with the enemy or is she an innocent bystander swept up in the chaos of the attack?

With more explosions and gunfire than an action movie, Cash and his team will have to race against the clock to find out the truth and either prove her innocence or take her out before another looming threat intervenes.

    I'm so excited that Giulia is at it again with her wonderful characters and yet also humor. She is a fantastic author.

    I was sad when Reed Security series came to an end but now there is a spinoff with Owens Protective Services. Now I have to go back and read Sinner as he is brought into this first book and I want to re-read his book.

    Each of the characters that are part of Owens Protective Services are memorable, yet as usual very alpha and protective hilarious and none are afraid to throw down.

    In the first book there is lots of action between Cash (who is the owner) and a scared woman named Beth. Beth is on the run and decides she may need some defensive training, so she drops in on a class that is just starting. After a few minutes a man comes up and is going to show her something and she ends up screaming and fleeing.

    Her life has been nothing but running and hiding and she is so tired. She finds a job at a research company and ends up in the middle of something terrible.

    Cash and team have been assigned to work with the governor after a total power outage in the city. As they are trying to find out who is responsible for the power outage, they find a block where there is no power and no generators are running. This is a red flag, and the team goes to a research company and the owner is less than forthcoming. This automatically lets Cash know someone is hiding something, so they get security camera footage and there Beth is seen walking out of the building with 5 other men.

    Cash looks Beth up and offers her a job at his company and asks her to come and look around. Once there, he brings her into an interrogation room and wants answers. She is terrified of him and has no idea what he wants from her.

    There are many twists and turns in this book and a cliffhanger at the end. Now I can't wait for the next book to continue on with the storyline.

    Guila is one of my favorite authors and provides each of us an escape, laughs, HEA, etc.
    Keep giving us great reading. I would highly recommend this book as any of her other books. You will never be disappointed

    Beth has so many secrets. So many different people chasing her, and she has a big problem trusting anyone. She doesn’t even trust the people who have tried to help her, because of all the problems she is having,then again people who try to help her are put in danger and she tries to keep that from happening.
    Finally, the people at The Trenches decide to help her even though she isn’t really cooperating or coming forward with pertinent information. Story stopped in a bad place, so I have to go get the next book, Nuclear Option.

    This is a fast paced, action packed, suspenseful book and you will not want to put it down. It does end in a massive cliffhanger but the next book is out so no waiting. Cash is the owner of Owens Protective Services and is a straight shooter and not very lucky with the ladies except for Betty (his good luck charm) and Sally (his rifle). Beth is on the run moving from town to town working cash paying jobs under an assumed name. Trouble finds her and she and Cash are on the run. I’m excited to read more in this series.

    I was intensely involved in this story right up until it suddenly just ended! Right in the middle of a life and death situation. Ugh!! I had no idea it would end on a cliffhanger sand I'm angry. I will probably calm down and regret the 3 star rating because it really was an exciting read. Obviously, I'm getting the next book immediately. I sure hope it isn't another cliffhanger!

    A great way to open the series with Sinner and the Reed gang.
    So much adventure, suspense, action and the unknown. The bond, respect, and trust within the group is untouchable.
    Cash and Eva (Beth) met by chance. Beth always at the wrong place wrong time. Been on the run for a long time. Cash not trusting her thinks she is involved in some form of the power outage till she was kidnapped.
    Let the fun begin.

    There were so many funny moments throughout to book I could not stop laughing. The humor the craziness it was awesome within OPS Feeling their sadness pain hurt sorrow etc.
    So detailed you can envision the words.
    Giulia looking forward to this series. Book 2 next adventure with Cash and Eva and the OPS team.
