- Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis book opened many questions for me , about myself. Would I have done this or that. Still do not know. But I believe they erred when they failed to tell police what they knew and allowed them to do the investigation. They girls have lost 3 friends to a serial killer but are determined to find and see that the killer is caught. The only thing slowing them down is their fear. This cozy MYSTERY is also a THRILLER and will have you guessing to the end. Enjoyable read....I RECOMMEND
- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI enjoyed this book for the most part although I figured out the killer early on. Much of the book was going over detail that had already been detailed. This kind of bored me. This seems like a novel directed more toward teens. There is no swearing or sex and I didn't find any typos. (I don't mind a little swearing or sex but the typos drive me mad.) I skipped the last 40% of the book and just went to the end chapter to see if I was right. After 60% and figuring out who the bad guy was, I didn't want to read the other 40% of re-detailing the details. I got this book free from the kindle store. If it's cheap enough I'd say buy it for a good read. However, as with all my reviews and regardless of whether I liked or loved the content, I give this author credit for imagination and ability to write in coherent sentences. Bettah than me. Bettah than me!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIn The Killings, I thought the story line was good although it was obvious to me who did it. I may be crazy. I haven't googled it and JA Whiting might have written a hundred books. But the writing seemed that of an amateur to me. If that is actually the case then it was a great first book.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is a good thriller. I liked the characters. I'm anxious to see if a relationship will start up between Olivia
and Jason & if Kayla will remain friends .
- Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseConsidering all the main characters in this mystery are college students, I am assuming it was written for a much younger reader than I am, but it was still rather delightful. It held my interest, and piqued my curiosity enough that I finished it rather quickly. And best of all, a satisfactory ending. I'd call that a tale well told. :)
- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAt first as I read this book I felt it was a little boring, but as I got into it it started to get more more exciting to the point where I couldn't put the book down. I will purchase the next two books in the series as I love this Author and have all of her other books.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis book was a quick read. The mystery was much too evident to me as the story progressed.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2018Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI like the way the story line and the characters unfold. There were a few lines of type that did not line up as they should. This is a clean mystery and I would recommend this to any reader.

5.0 out of 5 stars the killings
Format: KindleVerified Purchaseanother brilliant story but in a different way still spellbinding but well worth reading i was just sad i realized who the killer was early on it took a bit of the enjoyment out of it ,all the clues were there and because i love reading especially mysteries i knew but have to say its the first of her stories i knew who the killer was but i read to the end anyway.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI enjoyed this book very much. It moved along at a good pace and had a good storyline. An interesting whodunit that kept me guessing most of the way. Good read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just ok
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIt was an easy read. Storyline was easy to follow. I liked that the action started from the get go. I figured out pretty early on who the killer was, even with the stalkerish behaviour of the formal guy thrown in there to confuse us. I enjoyed it
