I was a failure.

To love and looking toward the future.
He knew coming back wasn’t going to be easy. What he didn’t know is that it would be the healing for not only him but for his sister’s best friend ~ Anabelle. Both filled with guilt neither expecting to find happiness in another this book is not only a lesson in forgiveness but a lesson on how to let one in. How to let happiness embrace you. How to look towards the future and let go of the past. Leaving his sister and best friend was the hardest thing he ever had to do, but showing his a rocky that she deserved love was just as hard. A book that will grip you and have you hooked till the last words on the epilogue! Perfection.

    I enjoyed this book. Anabelle was a character that I think a lot of readers will relate to, either because of her family situation or her feelings about life. I liked her. She was real, complex and relatable. I also liked Hayden. He's a man that has some big regrets and a whole lot of burned bridges to try to rebuild. Again, there is a lot to relate to. The sparks of chemistry really sizzle and the attraction is powerful from the very first meeting between the main characters and it only gets more intense as the story unfolds. Powerful emotions, drama, tension, turmoil and desire make for a potent brew that has you immersed and loving every minute of it! This is my elective, candid review.

    On the Rocks is a fabulous addition to the Love After Midnight series. This is Anabelle's story. If you have been following along with the series then you know Anabelle is one of the bartenders and has watched this tight circle find their love one by one. Anabelle is one tough cookie and doesn't let anyone push her around. But when it comes to her family is the black sheep and is happy with it until her family tries to rip her apart. You feel for Anabelle with just wanting something she loves and is excited about. Then enter Hayden. You feel the sparks start to fly even as Anabelle plays it all off. Hayden is back from the dead and trying to get back his friends and family he left behind. You feel his draw to Anabelle and will love how he breaks through all her defenses. There is just something about Hayden and Anabelle that just makes so much sense. They are hot together. I couldn't get enough of them.

    This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Hayden and Annabelle’s story. Annabelle is a bartender and the black sheep on her family, who is fighting her demons and has lose all self confidence along the way. Hayden has just returned after he was supposed to have been “dead” for the past 10-years, and he knows that he has a lot to prove to redeem himself. Hayden is determined to get to know Annabel and make her feel special and loved. Will her family dynamics interfere with their relationship? This is a beautifully written tale with complex and relatable characters. I was hooked throughout this riveting story, and I highly recommend this talented authors work for all readers.

    I wanted to like Anabelle and Hayden's story more than I did. I just never got past Hayden abandoning his entire life and expecting everything to be perfect when he turns up YEARS later. It was well written and I know some people loved the story.

    I love this series. The books just keep getting better with each one. I read this one in a day because I just couldn't put this one down. With the bombshell we were give in the previous book I couldn't wait to dive into this book. I loved Hayden and Annabelle. Annabelle just grabs at your heart with her backstory. Hayden is just so perfect for her. He is someone you're happy is in her corner. It made my heart happy to see Hayden doing little things for Annabelle because their impact was huge. Hayden has a lot to make up for and find the path he is meant to be on. I would highly recommend this one! It's a little on the insta love side, but done so right. There is plenty of heart and feels with the right amount of heat.

    I am really loving this series!! There is nothing more satisfying than reading a story that involves family by choice . For me, that is the truest form of family. Those are your people :) They will get you thru the rough and celebrate the rest. If anyone deserved that family it would be our heroine, Annabelle. Her DNA runs thru some twisted folks *blink* but she’s a survivor and her true family will get her thru :) That’s what’s stuck out from this series to me the most … the circle of family this group has created. It’s exceptional.

    I enjoyed everything about Hayden and Annabelle so much! Their chemistry and banter blended perfectly. Their story matched their personalities (at least in my opinion lol); powerful and fiery! They made me laugh and swoon and just happy! I really enjoy Elise’s voice and style and I can’t seem to get enough of her words! LOL

    Annabelle and Hayden are the perfect match of broken souls. This is a wonderful book, it was more an emotional story for me because of Annabelle's family. Hayden has a lot to make up for and I loved that he takes full responsibility for the pain he's caused. Together Hayden and Annabelle make each other whole again. I loved this book!
