About the author

USA TODAY bestselling author Joann Keder spent her formative years (40) on the vast Great Plains of Nebraska, where the sky is endless, and the winters build character. After sixteen years of teaching piano and enduring countless renditions of "I forgot to practice," she returned to school and earned a master's degree in creative writing. A mid-life move to the Pacific Northwest inspired her to shake up her priorities and focus on crafting small-town stories full of heart, humor, and a touch of quirk. With her supportive family cheering her on—and occasionally asking if she’s really working—she plans to continue until there are no more books inside her head.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2021Joann Keder has done it again. She has given us another novel full of mystery and intrigue and interesting characters. She keeps you guessing and still you can't guess how it will all turn out. Our favorite characters are back- Cosmo, Lanie, PIper, Truman and November Bean, as well as the residents of PIney Falls. But there are new players in the plot. Welcome Ellie Fine, a new bakery employee with secrets, Obie Lumquest, Boysie's middle son and many others. Joann never leaves us disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2021Every installment of the Piney Falls mystery series has been entertaining. Twisted Stitch continues the tradition and brings back all of the beloved favorite characters and of course introduces some new and memorable ones! What has been incredibly fun is to get to know the main characters through this series and with Twisted Stitch there is a next level of intimacy with the characters. The author has taken time to go deeper into the personalities of the main characters which was very rewarding because I already really love the characters and reading this was like getting a second dessert after your favorite meal. I won’t take the space to give away any plot points but I do want to applaud the growth of the series as well as the growth of the author. Well done - and keep ‘em coming!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2022Good story but more grammatical errors than the other books in this series. Maybe a different proofreader would help. Love the characters!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2021a wonderful cozy! lots of twists and turns and interesting complex and quirky characters.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2021Great continuation of the series
- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2024I had a very difficult time reading this. Too many instances of sentences being attributed to the wrong characters and too many scenes with the wrong characters. Many misplaced quotation marks.
