- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2020I really enjoyed this mix of a current crime case and past, tying in together nicely. Well written, likeable characters and some nice twists and turns in the parallel stories made this a great book to read, I loved it so much I bought the next 2 straight away. If you love crime stories with a different take on them, I’d recommend reading this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2019Mystery, intrigue, wild parties with untold going’s on... this book has it all. I was hooked from the very first chapter!
I was happily surprised at the smoothness between dual timelines. I enjoyed the main character’s in both. They were each strong relatable women fighting for survival.
I really enjoyed the amount of time dedicated to the backstory of Eden Grey. It really helped me understand her character better. I am excited to see her develop more as the series continues!
Thank you a NetGalley and Saphere for an advance copy for review. All opinions are my own.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2020A very interesting concept. Early in the story two skeletons are found. Who they are and how how they got there are an integral part of the mystery. The author did an excellent job of integrating two timelines together that were two hundred years apart. Eden Grey is an interesting, well developed character. She is tough, smart and vulnerable.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2020This book featured a dual timeline which tied together very well. I like the characters of Eden and Rachel but thought Rachel’s story was disturbing. It was a cleverly written story and I enjoyed reading it.
Many thanks to Sapere Books and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2019Jackie is an undercover police detective who goes after a drug dealer. During the operation, she is discovered and almost killed. When she recovers from the violent attack, she is unable and unwilling to continue working as a police officer. She turns to Private Investigator and takes on a new life as Eden Grey.
This time shifting book takes place between 1795 and 2013 with the connection being the Paternoster Club. This exclusive gentleman’s club involves prostitutes, violence and greed. The club is located within Grenville House in 1795 or the exclusive private school in 2013.
The author weaves these time periods together and interchanges the characters and the plot.
The main character of Eden Grey is a strong and intelligent woman who is works with Aiden, an archaeologist. Together this unlikely pair figure out the murders of numerous characters and the reasoning behind these murders.
When a burial plot is unearthed on the grounds of the exclusive school, and a client of Eden’s dies suddenly and unexpectedly, the story takes off.
This was a good read. Once you begin, you cannot put it down. The writing is smart, and realistic. The story line and plot were believable and interesting.
I am looking forward to reading more stories with Eden and Aiden.

It was a page turner, I thought it was really good!

The plot was intriguing, drew me in from the start, and the characters involved were well written. I read all three books in the series, in a week, they were that good. Hoping there will be more in this series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down
I really enjoyed this book and the switch between timelines. Despite guessing or knowing the historic outcome you found yourself staying completely immersed in the story. High recommend the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Time travel mystery
The time travel from modern times to the regency period is an interesting idea. The setting for both stories is in the same place and this is possible in a country as old as England where people have been building homes and towns for over 2000 years.
The research of the regency period was both accurate and disturbing. The strong female characters are well drawn. I look forward to further books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast paced and not an obvious who dunnit
This was a really good read. It moved at a good pace, well written, good characters and some interesting twists and turns. If you are looking for a short, easy read and like mysteries then this should appeal. I enjoyed it enough that I will be reading the next in the series.
