The most impressive part of this book is that it takes place when wrestling still had a code of respect which is largely lost in today's sport. If you enjoy oldschool wrestling and used to day dream about being a star then this book will let you know what that felt like.

A perfect wrestling book about a great guy and underused wrestler who talks about growing up,training and living his dream! Awesome,entertaining and interesting and funny as well this book will be well worth the cost which is great.Look up Bobby Blaze Smedley and he will even autograph it for you!

Smedley takes you inside the world of professional wrestling, from the local high school gym to the large arenas, you have a front row seat. This book is full of humor, emotion and one man's love and respect for his sport and his fellow competitors. A must read for fans of wrestling and chasing dreams!

Like every profession, wrestling has its own language, with code words, labels, and unspoken rules. Reading this book should be required for every person that ever watched a match on TV - much less paid good money for a night of entertainment at a match.

He tells the details of his life, training, matches, and thoughts along the way. I grew up watching 'rasslin' on TV with my family. This book of Bobby's brings it all back. The book will have a similar, nostalgic feel for many.
The training, the conditioning required, and hard work to maintain it, carries one through the book in amazement.
Bobby travelled to many countries during his wrestling career. It's interesting to note how differently the wrestlers were treated in various countries. After a long, international flight, Bobby and the others would still turn out for sparring and limbering before matches, as well as greeting the locals. They did what was asked of them. They are athletes. This is an aspect of the book I liked very much, a respectful look at the art of wrestling.
Pin Me, Pay Me!: Have Boots Will Travel is an up close look at a well-trained wrestler's life. It's a good read. You'll enjoy it.

I personally wrote this memoir with passion that came from deep w/in my heart and from my many memories that I had experienced after being on the road as a professional wrestler full-time for over 15 years. I was in wrestling rings around the world. I wrote page after page of action packed stories that reveal the inner workings of the world of professional wrestling. I have wrestled on five different continents and in my memoir, I share those stories. In professional wrestling, in the ring, that's what we do through our matches, "we are just telling a story." I wanted my fans and the readers to feel as if they were right there in the ring with me. I hope you enjoy my life story and the insights I shares from years of being on the road. I grew up in a small Kentucky town, and I loved professional wrestling. I grew to be a man that eventually lived a dream through my athletic and wrestling abilities to make a living when the marquees still said, "WRESTLING!" I take great pride in knowing I was a part of Professional Wrestling. I know my memoir is an insightful look into my many accomplishments, such as winning three matches on the night that I upset Jerry "The King" Lawler to become the Smoky Mountain Heavyweight Champion. I know you will enjoy the journey and the stories.

"We were warriors my friend and we are a different breed. It has nothing to do with money or fame, but to just hear the roar of the crowd , and the feeling when you got them eating out of your hand. It can never be matched. The pop when the finish hit perfectly, whether you went over or not! It was an amazing thing and made my heart feel good. We are a dying breed my brother. But I raise my head high and am proud to have been in the ring and locker rooms with true warriors like yourself and many, many others. The game is different now and the values have changed. The art of knowing how to draw, and when and how to pop the people, and get them excited is a lost art that may never be recovered. At least I can say with pride, I wasn't the best but I was blessed and honored to have worked with the best. I can die a happy man knowing what I set out to do was to be respected by my peers and be part of this wonderful sport we called rasslin ! Bull Pain
