    I'm going to start by saying I will try my very best not to write any spoilers because I did not see this one coming and you shouldn't either.

    We met Jordan 7 books ago, SEVEN people. I'm obviously not counting all the books out of the Turning Point series or Jordan's game series. I know this is listed as a standalone but I'm so glad I had all the backstory . It all started with peeks at Jordan and his personality. The last Turning Point book gave us a little more info (he was one of the main characters for crying out loud) but I just never felt like I could get a handle on what made Jordan tick. I still didn't get it through the last three Jordan's Game books. I STILL didn't get it 3/4 of the way through this book. Honestly, let's say 7/8th of this book because I still couldn't put the pieces together. AND the BOOM! It all fell into place. I felt like Ms. Huss spun me in circles until I got dizzy and fell down, when I could finally see straight the game was over. I read that part of the book twice, TWICE people. I honestly don't know how she does it but it makes for a really great story. Yes there is hot as hell sex. Yes it's wonderfully dirty. BUT there is also a really great story with some pretty amazing characters. I love that she gives us some seriously badass women too. I'm a sucker for a badass woman that fixes her own problems.

    I'm sad that this series is over but the epilogue of this book gave me the feels. I can't wait to see what Julie has in the works! I also love the EOBS in each of these books. I haven't had a chance to read the EOBS for this book but it's next on my list. Thanks again Julie for this wonderful book!

    Each time I pick up a JA Huss book I know I'm going to be in for a ride. But this was one I wasn't expecting. AT ALL!
    We first met Jordan in the Turning Point series. He was always a side player. I wasn't even sure if I liked him. I thought maybe he was kind of a douche. -Side note- you do not have to read those books to get Jordan's story. But I think you will want to at some point. Then we got this series of books that all revolved around him, the Grand Master player. (and yes, you're going to want to read this series because it's a build up of Jordan and his brand of messed up). I still questioned him, but he seemed like he was growing on me with each book. Even playing with peoples lives, I felt like he was doing it for the greater good. Perhaps I was wrong.

    "Because I'm not some magic oracle with all the answers. I'm a ....ing Pandora's box."

    And that's exactly what this story was. A Pandora's box. Once you got one part figured out, something else developed. You just couldn't see anything coming. Ideas of things coming? Sure. But I guarantee you did not see the whole picture. Because that's what Ms Huss does best. She mixes and matches things and then throws them up in the air and you feel like you have to start all over again. But that's what keeps us coming back. For the mystery of it all.

    I feel like if I mention too much more, you won't get to experience Play Dirty how it's meant to be. Just remember that Jordan isn't our average man. And he doesn't come from an average lifestyle. He had friends that he was once close to years ago that included Ixion along with Alexander and Augustine. Add in his friends from Turning Point, Smith and Chella, and we've got a game we haven't experience yet. Put all these players into a blender of lies, blackmail. schemes, love and hate, right and wrong and you come up with something so new and a little dark.

    "Do you ever look around and just...see what's happening? Or do you like it in the dark?"

    This book started a little slow and I felt like Jordan. I was missing something. What was I missing? But sometimes it's not always about what you're missing. It's about what's right there in front of your face and you just can't see it. You can't remember or connect with it. But I fell more in love with past characters and Jordan definitely grew on me. I actually wanted to take him in my arms and figure this out with him. Could I almost feel sorry for the master?? JA Huss took me on a ride I didn't see coming and I enjoyed every dang second of it. And wow! That ending? Are you kidding me?!
    The twists among twists!
    Check it out. Read the series. It's one that will surely leave you singing JA Huss' praise.

    Every single time I read a JA Huss book, I think, 'there is no way she can shock me anymore than she has before. It just isn't possible' and every time I am shocked beyond belief. Her stories are unique and never end the way you would expect them to. The guy might get the girl, but it is never easy and it most definitely is never conventional. I think that's what I like the most about her writing. Julie likes to add a flare that kinda resembles the chaos of everyday life.

    I'm not saying that every aspect in her stories is normal, but the struggle for her characters to get from point A to point B to point C is an uphill climb and then a free-fall, only to have to climb back up the mountain again, just like in real time. Our lives are not easy, we have to climb, and fall, and climb again, just as Jordan Wells has done throughout the Turning Series, and as we have seen him struggle throughout this series, Jordan's game. Book 4, Play Dirty is Jordan's book, and is fitting that it is Jordan's story, told in Jordan's voice. He has much to say, and quite a story to tell.

    Reading his words places you inside that whirlwind of an experience that his life has been up until this point. The shock and awe is ever present in the JA Huss story and is what keeps her readers so loyal. Jordan does find his kind of happy, but as always, its rough and unconventional, yet, a brutally perfect way to end this series

    Note to self: never try to guess where this author is going in a novel, it's pointless and always wrong!
    Case in point, I thought that Jordan was a pretty ruthless and selfish character who only did nice things for people when it benefitted him. The fact that his last three games turned into lasting life partners seemed vaguely accidental.
    This might be sort of true, but Jordan is a million times more complicated, he put thought and intent behind the games even when the outcome was far from certain.

    I went into this book not particularly liking Jordan or his manipulative nature. I came out of this book hoping desperately that Jordan is happy and living his very best life, surrounded by love and support.

    My heart really went out to Jordan and all that he suppressed in order to meet others expectations. I felt his loneliness and isolation, as well as his regrets.

    This book was a splendid conclusion to a fantastic series. Very highly recommended.

    This book threw me. Having read the previous books I felt as though I knew Jordan. I didn’t. I definitely didn’t expect to feel so much for him. I saw so much of myself in him that the outcomes and his choices were completely understandable.

    I wouldn’t call this a romance so much, at least not like the other books are. Sure it has the HEA and the sexy scenes, but it’s a story about a man finally finding himself, and accepting it. It’s a story of question and confrontations. Of love, all loves. Of longing and friendship and finding where you fit. Of trust - learning how to recognise it and give it.

    In this book we finally see Jordan for who he is. Not the game master, but just a boy who couldn’t find his way out of a life he thought he deserved.

    It is a stand alone, you can read this before the rest. But, I assure you, this book will have you reading the others - so you may as well start at your he beginning.
    I really loved these four books. I couldn’t put them down. In fact, I can’t even pick a favourite character because each was so unique and well rounded.
    I’m sad to see the end, and I’m hoping Ms Huss decides to feed our addiction by carrying on and setting her stories in the same world. But, I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. I just hope we see more of these guys in the future.

    I thoroughly enjoyed Jordan's Game. Not only did it take me through many twists and turns, it finally revealed Jordan's back story. Julie is a master at creating characters. It is not something you should miss. It rates up there with her other books, The Company , Rook and Ronin, Ford, Taut, Spencer (Bombs), Five, The Perfect Series,
    I could go on and on and now she is in collaboration with Johnathan McClain which brings us madcap crazy stories written with a female and male perspective. I look forward to the next story and anyone should seriously think about picking up a copy of any of her books. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

    Play Dirty was a very different story. Jordan’s past was uncovered and made for a very interesting story. Some of the scenes early on made me a little uncomfortable but thankfully the story moved forward. Alongside Jordan, Augustine, Alexander, Ixion and Chella all played their part in this story. A great ending to the Jordan’s Game series.
