Priceless Ink: A Small Town Romance (The Cortell Brothers Book 5) Kindle Edition

4.7 out of 5 stars 702 ratings

The biker and the runaway bride...

When a hot woman comes running out of a church and begs you to save her, you do it.

I shredded her dress with my knife, put her on the back of my bike, and tore out of the city with her clinging to my body with her tight curves.

It was a dream come true. My very own damsel in distress who would be very grateful when this ride was over.

And then she opened her mouth.

So, I decided to screw with her.

Yes, it was mean, but she had it coming.

And when we finally got to my place, I may have told her I couldn’t take her back to the city for a day or two.

It was a tiny white lie.

She looked at my tiny apartment in disgust.

She turned up her nose at the things I offered her.

It was clear a woman like this didn’t belong in my world.

But when she broke down in tears and told me she couldn’t go back to her life, I made it my mission to help her adjust to this new way of living.

Except, along the way, I started to fall for her.

Suddenly, our little life above my tattoo shop was everything either of us could hope for.

Until it wasn’t.

The goodbye note was pretty clear.

But as I lay crying in my bed, surrounded by my brother’s girlfriends, I couldn’t help but wonder if she really meant anything she ever said to me.

I haven’t read this author in a while, but I loved the other books I read so gave this one a chance. I started this series with this book. Probably not the smartest idea, but now I’m in and can’t wait for more! Love the family dynamic, especially Andrew’s role in everything-you’ll have to read as I’m not into spoilers! Joe and Sofia have a funny meet-cute and it’s off and running from there! This book has it all-humor, danger, tattoos, and love!!! So good!!

Priceless Ink is book 5 of the Cortell Brothers Series. The focus is on Joe Cortell and Sofia. This book could be read as a standalone but I recommend starting at the beginning of the series to have a better understanding of the other characters and what is going on at this point in time with their family and small town.

Joe is definitely the most emotional Cortell brother. He's sensitive, protective, caring, but he can also be your worst nightmare if you piss him off. That man has quite the temper on him when pushed. He's the youngest so it seems like his family under estimates his abilities, can be really judgy about his life, and often they try to baby him or handle him with kid gloves. But he's a lot more responsible and level headed then people give him credit for. It broke my heart when he went through his funk.

Sofia comes off as a rich, snobby, prude. But that was just a defense mechanism as well as a product of how she was raised. She was sheltered and although she said she was raised with manners she was often times rude and had no filter. I felt that Sofia never truly grew a backbone and never blossomed to her full potential. Sure she lost her materialistic, and uppity attitude, but she never really see her gain any real life skills.  We never find out what her plans were and if she ever found a career. But she was selfless when it came down to protecting Joe and his family, so she is loyal.

Joe's MC was just dropped like a hot potato. Did Sofia ever do the charity work she discussed with them? Didn't they ever worry about Joe's whereabouts? It would have been a fun twist in having the club appear for the actual show down, since he considers them like family and they accepted Sofia.

FINALLY, Ma Cortell addressed her involvement in what happened with Robert and Ana all those years ago. Although we don't know what was said per se at least it was finally brought up and not swept under the rug. I thought she was really sweet with Sofia. She was a little less overwhelming in this book and actually supportive, especially when it came to Sofia's family issues. Speaking of Sofia's family, they deserved more then what they got in my opinion.

I found this book to be more light hearted compared some of the previous books. There is a mix of humor, classic Cortell brothers banter, and LOTS of family drama. We also get a lot more of the women mingling then before and that was a nice change. It looks like Andrew Cortell's book is up next and will wrap up the series. I can't wait to find out who puts his arrogant butt in check!

I really enjoyed this book which is the 5th book in the Cortell Brothers series. Introduced in the Reed Security series, the Cortell Brothers series tells the stories of the (obviously) Cortell Brothers. Joe is the joker of the family. Laid back, easy going, always cheerful. Sophia seems to be the Princess from the Golden Tower, but all is not as it seems. Free for the first time in her life to experience how people on the other side of the kingdom live, Sophia gets a huge helping of life as the rest of us know it.

Joe is determined to help her in spite of how his family feels about Sophia. I really liked how the characters reacted to what is going on and taking a good look at how others are treated, even though it is with the thought of someone's best interest at heart. One thing I love about these books is I feel like I have come back to town for a visit with old friends since everyone shows up to catch me up on what's been going on with them. What a great feeling, but I hate coming to the end of the book. It feels like my vacation is over and I have to return to everyday life.

I have been hooked on all these books since Reed Security and now these boys are the best. I am happy and sad that I only have Andrew left. This family makes me wish I had a brother.

Priceless Ink is book 5 in The Cortell Brothers from Giulia Lagomarsino and it's Joe's story. I was so excited for Joe's story.

When I read the blurb for Joe and Sophia's story I couldn't wait to read it. Joe's in a MC and Sophia is a runaway bride, so many things could happen there. Sophia is running away from a life she didn't want. She's basically being forced to marry a man she doesn't want to. Joe just happens to be at the right place at the right time. Sitting at a red light in front of the church when a beautiful woman comes running out. There are moments in everyone's life that changes them forever, for these two it's this moment. These two are opposites in every way. They grow on each other and love starts to form.

No Cortell Brothers book would be complete without the Cortell Brothers. These brothers and their relationship is really what makes these books. They make me laugh and make me angry but I adore them.

Why am I giving this book 4 stars? I really didn't like Sophia. I couldn't relate to her and out of all the heroines in the series she's my least favorite. It's hard to give a book 5 stars when the heroine just isn't my cup of tea. I don't think anything is wrong with her, I just didn't care for her.

Priceless Ink is a great addition to the series. It kept me reading from start to finish. And I really am dying for the next book in the series. I love these brothers.

Cannot believe only one book left! Joe and Sophia's story is a lovely read.
Unconventional meeting, different worlds can they make it work - this is packed with the events that seem to rip everything apart or can the boys pull it back? Read and enjoy

A great addition to the series. Joe and Sofia''s love story. Both from different world's met unexpected Destiny stepped in.

Spoiled brat trying to adjust to a different life and succeeded and fell in love. Joe the love he had for Sofia was felt throughout.

The Cortell brothers are so funny and hilarious. I could not stop laughing. True brothers always there for each other even when they are punching each other out. Very strong bond.

True love story kept you reading how it was going to come together. Sofia had horrible parents used her as a pawn for personal gain.

Loved the way the family all came together to get Sofia back.

It had everything adventure fun love pain sorrow hate greed etc

Giulia thank you for another great story. Love forward to Andrew's adventures.

This is a first read for me from this author and I will admit it isn't often I start in the midst of a series but the arc blurb was yoo good to pass up. Woman runs from wedding into arms of a tattoo artist...I'm in. I wasn't wrong, what a great love story.  The FMC was somewhat annoying at first but we see her develop into someone awesome.  So many other great characters I look forward to going back into the series to read. This was a great mix of romance, steam, laughs and suspense.
